Ive tried my fair share of Chinese places in town, and for the convenience of the location, Hunan Wok isnt bad at all. We were pleasantly surprised actually, especially since we consulted these reviews beforehand. I went in yesterday for the first time, despite reading the reviews here. It looked like people either loved it or hated it. The place was a ghost town, but the server was very friendly to us and was very accomidating. The General Tsos chicken was surprising. It was actually real chicken, as opposed to the two inches of batter with some low quality chicken nugget meat in the middle. It was amazing. We also ordered the Mongolian Chicken which was prepared in a way I hadnt seen before, but still tasted great. The hot and sour soup was also very good, though not the best Ive had. Same goes for the won ton soup. We also ordered an appetizer of won tons for an affordable $2.50 for eight. They didnt look pretty, but tasted great. From the timeline of these reviews, it looks like Hunan Wok has actually tried to improve itself. I will definitely go back the next time I get a hankering for Chinese. The prices are a good $2 cheaper than anywhere else and the portions are great. Highly suggested to give it a try or even a second chance. I think you just might agree.

I ordered Sesame Chicken, along with another dish, on a Friday night. The confirmation email said Sesame Chicken. What I received was not Sesame Chicken, so I called them to see if they would please make and deliver the dish I had ordered. The woman on the phone first offered to credit the wrong dish toward a future order, which might have been acceptable had it not been my last night visiting, and the whole thing with still being hungry. After confirming that I did still want the food I had ordered, the woman on the phone then, very quickly, said that "it was late" and "I should come get it." and then said goodbye and hung up before I could say anything else. I was expecting not to get my order, because I was not about to go out on a night where I was already tired enough to order delivery. So I am happy to say, that they did send the guy back out with my order. And it was delicious. So maybe check your orders before the delivery guy leaves, but, its nice to know they will fix their mistakes :)

In my opinion Hunan Wok has THE BEST Chinese Food that Ive ever had! Weve been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. A huge plus: not able to eat certain things such as corn starch? No worries, just let them know and theyll modify their recipes for you! The original owners work this business on usually a daily basis, they work very hard, do everything with just the 2 of them yet every time we come in to eat, or I stop by to pick up take out Im always greeted with mouth watering aromas & big smiles & a warm welcome from them! I have too many favorites to list them all but make sure you try ALL of the following: -Wonton Soup (Ive never tasted better) -Cream Cheese Wonton (be careful, these are truly addictive!!) -Crispy Spring Rolls (always perfectly cooked, crispy & never greasy!) -Pot Stickers (again the best Ive ever tasted) -Fried Won Ton (so delicious) I have other favorites as well...

My boyfriend and I came here around 430 and it was completely dead. Just me and him in the place. It took a while for the lady to seat us, bring some water and take our order. The fried won ton was oozing oil and the Mongolian beef was smothered in sauce. I get that its not dry but there was just too much sauce. The Kung Palo chicken was extremely bland. One good thing I would say is that the food was fresh from the stove. We read reviews online and saw that many people liked it here but Im sure it was the employees writing in. Only come here if you cant go anywhere else.

I love the food here. And another user said they were sure the positive reviews were from the workers? I dont work there - but I am very picky about the food I like. Ive been in here a few times, and the only time we ever had to wait longer than 10 minutes for our food was when the restaurant had several other families in the restaurant as well. The severs have always been friendly to us, and I love the flavors. I do have odd food allergies, and theyve always been very kind about it considering that mine are quite uncommon and pretty strange.

Service was absolutely abysmal. We waited awhile to even get seated, and the menus were still from lunch despite walking in at 7pm. Not only that, but we did not get served water, and my boyfriend found a container of water on another table and served ourselves. Customers behind us were asking how to say "yes" in Chinese, and the waitress responded with "sì", which is not correct.... Despite the unfortunate events that happened, the food was good.

I think Safeway Chinese is better. Low quality beef and chicken wasnt anything special. Plus they called after 40 mins because they didnt get the card right. Then they drove up and down the street for 15 minutes because they couldnt find the place. Said they called but never received any call. Then turned around in front yard instead of backing out of driveway like a normal person. Morons!! Probably just get take out next time.

This place has the BEST Chinese food I have ever had for the lowest prices anywhere. I take all of my family to Hunan Wok when they come to town. I have always walked out completely satisfied and full. The staff are so pleasant and the atmosphere is perfect for a quiet family meal. Simply the best, I give Hunan Wok my highest recommendation possible.

I have never eaten food this bad at a restaurant. I honestly have no idea how this place is in business. old nasty chicken, broccoli with mold on it, and the rice was super chewy with a weird taste. I would never recommend, and hopefully the pizza thats on the way is actually edible.

Seriously one of the best and most affordable Chinese restaurants Ive been to (and trust me, Ive eaten at many). You will definitely get your moneys worth here. I always order take out and have tried all the chinese places in the area. Try it. You wont be disappointed!

Just happens to drive by after flew from Hong Kong. Picked the Pawn with honey walnut. Excellent! Better than what I can get in HK. The decor is bland and the service is nothing to write home about, but that dish I picked was yummy.

I have not tried anything on this menu that I havent loved. The best general tso chicken i have ever tried! i have not tried any other chinese cuisine that compares to their flavor here! The owners are the nicest people as well.

Lowest possible quality beef and pork, barely cooked, even the wontons tasted cheap. Webpage prices are 30% lower than what they charge you when you pick up... Im not super picky on chinese food but this was really bad.

I order take out from here all the time! Sure the place is understaffed, not very presentable and its a 15 min drive for me to get there from Woodinville - but the food is always amazing. Worth every penny!
