I ate there last night, September 19th. I will say that it was very busy, so they must be doing something right. However, the service is terrible! I did not feel welcome at all, I dont know if it was a racial thing (I am caucasian) or not, all I know is that the staff was not friendly to me. I was slightly overcharged for my takeout meal, and when I called the cashier on it, he said that it was because of sales tax. Unless sales tax has risen to 9.8 percent, I was still overcharged (also, it was my understanding that food is not taxable, and therefore, when ordering take-out, even from a restaurant, there should be no tax, it used to be that way, although I admit I am not 100% on that now). When I received the explanation, I did not bother to do the calculation, but I knew the $11.75 price for the $10.70 meal seemed a little high, even with tax. I cordially apologized for questioning him (the cashier), and he did respond to me. Later, when I received the meal, I offered a warm and sincere "thank you" to which he did not respond. The food was pretty good; however, customer service is important to me, and there are plenty of good Chinese places around that offer both excellent food AND excellent customer service. I intend not to eat at Sichuanese Cuisine again.

When Spicy Talk in Redmond closed down, I started coming here for szechuan Chinese food. My favorite in general is szechuan dry cook green beans, so going to various Chinese restaurants and sampling their version of szechuan green beans is always an adventure. I like this restaurants version... Different... But interesting flavor. Their other vegetarian food is tasty as well... Their lunch menu is so cost efficient that you can sample a lot of their entrees that way. The fried rice is vegetarian (eggs) and the egg flower soup is water based... great szechuan food. The food here is really quite good, provided it is cooked to the proper temperature (I did once receive an order of spring rolls that were still frozen in the middle). The sesame chicken and beef broccoli are my personal favorites. However, the service was terrible when we have gone in to eat. We basically were just ignored the entire time, never received more beverages, and had to walk up to someone at the counter to get the check, as they ignored any other attempt to get their attention. Order your food to go, take it home and enjoy it in a setting where you dont feel any obligation to tip.

We recently moved nearby this place from Everett, and are a mixed race family (Chinese/American). Dont believe some of the reviews here. This place is fantastic. Have been there a half dozen times, and whether its just me, or I picked up some take out, or with a group of 10, the service was always good, the waiters and cooks very friendly and the food was EXCELLENT! Get the spicy fish, youll never be disappointed. Expand your horizons beyond fried rice and dumplings. This restaurant has a plethora of exciting, spicy dishes to explore.

I dont believe in anonymous reviews, so this is A. Llyr on the level. I use to live a few blocks away in the nineties, but only found it after I put my condo on the market. Now I drive thirty minutes to get there and it is worth it. Fantastic food that has not been Americanized. The owner (second generation) always remembers me and my favorite dish twice cooked pork, (AKA Sichuan style pork.) I recommend this to all of my friends. Try the hot pots especially.

This restaurant is usually packed with native Chinese. I would say that that is a pretty good endorsement in and of itself. Their ma po to fu is first-rate; the fried dumplings are good as well. However, the hot-and-sour soup could use some work. Staff are friendly, and service is as quick as the level of customers allows; if you go when its packed, expect to wait both for a table and for your food. Worth the wait, though!

This is the absolute best Chinese food around. Our friends, from Beijing, told us about it and the restaurant is full of Chinese people and regulars. We love the pea greens and crispy chicken. Our friend called in our order, in Mandarin, and we kept our ticket. We always just show this to our server and get the same dishes every time. If there are 3 of us, we just take some home. You will not be disappointed here.

One of my all time favorite restaurants. Three different friends from China have told me it is the most authentic Chinese around. I wouldnt know personally, but my family and I agree that the food is excellent. My kids like the Sweet and sour chicken, broccoli beef, and the Mandarin spicy fish. I also like the Sichuan boiled beef, mopu tofu, twice cooked pork and the (off menu) twice cooked chicken.

If you know anything about Sichuanese Cuisine, this is the place to be. I went to Sichuane for business multiple times a year, and oh my god. This is the best Ive ever tried in the States. Try it, you wont regret! And for the previous comment regarding the violations. I thought it is one of the cleanest restaurant around the area. See for yourself.

Good and authentic Sichuan food, popular among many Chinese locals. No frills, you dont come here for the ambiance. Service is decent, not overly friendly but not rude, they do their job get your order and get your food. As long as you arent planning on becoming BFFs with your server after one meal, you wont be disappointed with the service.

Excellent schezuan beef, other foods were meh. Rude waitress. We asked her whats "Ants on the tree" is on the menu. She replied "you would have known it if you were schezuanian", and didnt answer until we asked again then she replied "Its a bunch of stuff stir-fried together". Seriously, what the heck kind of answers were those?

bad experience, wont go again As a chinese I dont care if its authentic chinese dish or not. But the unclean bowls, not fresh broccoli, stale vegetables are just unbearable. Stay away, hope they close soon. Stay away from Chengdu Chinese Restaurant nearby too, I used to chew cleaning steel thread from beef there.

Unacceptable. I read ALL reviews of this place and gave it a shot. Chow mein was extremely greasy. I could have lived with that but the wonton soup tasted exactly like rubber. EXACTLY I would have given 2 stars but to charge me for the rubber, with only 1 spoonful missing, was a travesty.

I have been coming here since 2006. Ive always enjoyed their dishes, and have fallen im Love with their steamed dumplings, twice cooked pork, diced fish and pickled peppers, and Knights Zang Beef. They are the base I use to compare all other Chinese Restaurants. You cant top this place!
