My girlfriend and I went for Cinco de Mayo. The place was swamped with people, however this was to be expected, and the wait staff was doing a great job keeping up with the massive amount of people. Food tasted fine, however once I got to the car I realized something was off. My stomach started rumbling and I started getting a cold sweat. I thought that was weird but I ate alot and was stuffed so maybe that was why i felt weird. I laid down for bed and didnt think anything of it. Fast forward to around 1 am. I wake up and instantly know something is wrong. I sprint to the toilet. Right as I sit down my bottom end explodes a toxic concoction of water and Azteca Special. Then the cramps start. Im doubled over oozing Azteca special out my backside while Im dry heaving into the bathroom waste bin as my body tries to get rid of all the poison Ive filled it with. TL;DR - Azteca gave me food poisoning and kept me up half the night dry heaving and passing water. 10/10 would not go again

first time to the restaurant. We let them know it was. The service was friendly but the food was the worst ever. The only thing that was half way decent was the taco salad my husband had, and even he said they were very selfish on the amount of meat they gave, which might of made it better.I just had a steak quesadilla and it was dried up like it had been under a heater for a while.My son had a taco plate and his taco shell was burnt and the rice tasted like minute rice.This was on a Wed. night, maybe they had been training a new cook. I cant see how this place has high reviews. I think they need chef Ramsey to come save there restaurant.

Standard Mexican food. Service is hit or miss here. Weve gone many times where you can have a quick meal in under an hour, but this time they took forever to take our order and bring our food. Also asked for napkins and had to ask our server twice and she still forgot, so we asked a different server before we got any. Overall still enjoy coming here since the food is consistently good.

I love Azteca Mexican Restaurants anywhere and this one is no exception. The wait staff was friendly and quick. The birthday treat was great with sombrero, dessert and song. I had my favorite dish the Seafood Chimichanga and it was just perfect. I also recommend the mango cviche which I tried for the first time and loved it.

Azteca is good chain Mexican food at a reasonable price, with a friendly staff and a good endless supply of chips and salsa. They use a lot of cilantro, so if you have a sensitivity to that, youre probably not going to like it here. Their echiladas en mole are really good.

Food was ok, service was not so well! We sat in an empty bar and it took 10 min for them to bring us menus. The soda was flat, they never checked on us after giving us our food & drinks, for us to say anything. I didnt feel it was my job to go hunt them down.

Just your normal out-of-the-box chain "Mexican" food. Their food has no favor or spice to it. If youre looking for Mexican food then I suggest looking somewhere else. On the plus side the servers are nice and the mixed drinks are good.

Deserves a 3.5, but can only give 3 or 4. Good, not great food. Azuls and the nearby location of Azteca in Kirklamd/Totem Lake area are much better. Staff is really awesome here though. Margaritas are blahh premade syrup types.

I thought the place was quite nice, very low key. The food was about what you would expect for the price. The service was excellent. If youre looking for a moderately-priced Mexican place, this is the restaurant for you.

Had the fajita sampler (steak, shrimp, chicken) that was HUGE! Lots of veggies and the usual sides. Excellent quality. Great seating and atmosphere. Highly recommended for your Mexican dinners.

Good place to get a drink or dinner after work. If you want to try something less common, get the Camarones Blancos. Creamy sauce with a hint of spice over shrimp and rice.
