Guacamole is Extra Chipotle has become a shell of its former self. Thats not meant to be a pun. And it was never the best Mexican food in the world, mind you. It doesnt hold a candle to taco trucks in White Center (not even to Tacos Guaymas across the street; which while pricier, is much better), but its a step above Taco Bell and typical Tex-Mex fast food youd find at a place like Chilis, and they make a big deal about sourcing (which while kind of pretentious, sometimes, is kind of nice for a change). In its heyday of growth and stride, during the mid-2000s, Chipotle was actually pretty decent, though. It was the sort of thing you craved and could actually stand to go out of your way for (especially in the $5.00 burrito days). Everything was at least seasoned and grilled properly and the experience was more than decent for the asking price. It was clean, moderately healthy if you didnt get the dairy options, and In the age of the $7-8 burrito, mediocre / "Better For You Than Taco Bell But Maybe Not As Tasty" isnt going to cut it. Ethical meat or not. If something isnt seasoned or prepared properly, I dont care where the other guys products came from, Im eating next door instead. The meats need to be seasoned better (the carnitas was so flavorless and depressing; it wasnt even fried at all and lacked fat), the corn salsa hasnt been very sweet or delicious in years (not sure what changed), the rice lacked butter, cilantro, lime, and salt. The chips were half soggy, missing lime, and were either unsalted or covered in salt. I can appreciate that the workers here are mostly new (and mostly kids). I can understand that its a new location that might not be filled with seasoned vets like the Northgate location. And this isnt a slight against them -- its the managements job to ensure QA and to produce better products. And while were speaking of management: step up your safety game and give your grill cooks and food handlers better gloves. Single-layer disposable latex hospital gloves are not something somebody should be wearing when shredding hot pork with their hands. Buy proper kitchen gloves meant to withstand temperature for the meat handlers and get potholders for the buffet trays. Nobody should be touching steam bath gear with just their hands (unless you want a rightful L&I lawsuit). Honestly, Id give this place a huge pass. Youre too close to White Center to not have real, absurdly affordable, extremely tasty Mexican food. And for a few bucks more (still too much; $9-10 for a burrito?), you could have a vastly superior Mexican product across the street. Two stars only because I dont want this to come off as being a review blaming the workers for the mistakes passed down the line from management. Steve Ells, man -- what are you doing? You guys generate billions in revenue - and you go out of your way to spend more in buying ethical products - but youre expanding and losing sight of producing the kind of products and the working environment to match that ideology.

Horrible service today!! I ordered Chicken bowl and chicken burrito. Watery Chicken bowl with no rice that spilled out from the paper bag on my car seat. The girl who took my order initially just stared at me while I gave two orders; first the Chicken bowl and then, the Chicken Burrito. She rolled her eyes looking impatient while I looked at the selections to add to my chicken burrito. It turned out that she had made veggie bowl instead of chicken. I repeated my order as "Chicken bowl not veggie bowl". Soon enough a nicer server took over my order from that irritable server. I thanked the nice server! .I commented to the cashier on my way out that the first server needed good training to which she replied, " she is the best trained." Yea Right! Im paying for my order here not eating for free!

I like this Chipotle location. There is limited parking, so its better for foot traffic. The restaurant is clean, the staff was courteous and the wait time when I went was minimal. I normally order chicken burrito with guacamole it was consistent with the quality of the other locations Ive been to. The customer service was great as well. I would recommend stopping in if youre in the area.

Its Chipotle. I dont expect anything other than quick service and good food. You get that at this location. What you dont get is good seating indoors. Party of 4? You have about 4 tables to choose from. Party of more than that? Good luck. Outdoor seating is nice, but this is Seattle, so its only usable from June-ish to September-ish.

Im not a huge (yuge) fan of chipotle. The chipotle experience is ordering a pile of hot, bland ingredients to stuff in your pie hole. Last time I was there, they were blasting different rap music in the back than in the front. That contributed to the unpleasant ambiance. This chipotle is about the same as any other.

Very nice employees. They go the extra mile and really care. Seating is kind of strange, but I dont mind. I love Chipotle and this one specifically is very nice. Would definitely come back again! Ignore the long, ridiculous reviews below. If you like Chipotle then youll be very satisfied with this location.
