My favorite Mexican food in the Bay Area. Good prices, nice and beautiful people. Fast paced, clean! Best salsa - they usually have 3 kinds (mild chunky tomato restaurant style, hot-picante red sauce, green sauce made with tomatillos). Their chicken is cut/shredded by hand, not mechanically cut chicken from a bag. The restaurant has indoor seating for about 6-10 people and outdoor seating about another dozen people or so, but most people(including myself) usually order the food to go. There is no restroom. Theres a casino around the corner from here, but the crowd from there doesnt frequent here as far as I know. The customers are mostly families, day workers, commuters, international travelers, retirees and students. Lots of locals eat here. This location is off Pacheco Blvd in Pacheco, near Martinez and Pleasant Hill - make sure you order food from the correct location :) Theres also a Danville location on the west side of the 680 near Diablo Road. That restaurant location is larger and can host bigger groups inside.

Good place to eat but my rating is based only on personal preference. In short a good carne asada burrito does not need lettuce, sour cream, cheese, beans and rice in it. Had them just add the meat guacamole and pico to it and it turned out pretty good. The meat could use a bit more seasoning and the horchata was a little water down. All in all i would recommend this place but ask what they put in what you are ordering first and trim out what you dont want.

Ive come to this Pacheco location for decades, and have seen many of the same friendly faces for just as long! A BCR (bean, cheese & rice burrito) will fill you up for about $2 - a quick and delicious lunch! Our family favorites are the BCR and Crispy Chicken Taco... Tip: Call in your order if visiting during the lunch or dinner rushes! Ive been to Danville and San Ramon too, but this one is the best IMO :)

Authentic yes without a doubt great tasting absolutely without question yet every time I go in there and I live literally around the corner from it and a number of eateries that I could choose this place always provides rapid friendly service with everyone they deal with and if the one time that I have had something slightly incorrect happens they have more than compensated with a smile love this place

Dont waste your time. Both times I have been there they lose my ticket and tell me to keep waiting for at least 45 minutes until they finally look and see that my ticket is MIA... took about an hour to get a burrito both times I went. Food is pretty good but not worth getting treated like your time is worth nothing. They are also not very friendly

Its good food, its fast,they have a wide variety of dishes but you cant eat there that means you can wash your hands or use a bathroom, also no free chips only salsa, prices are less than okay compare to other taquerias. Also the parking lot gets crowded and sometimes its difficult to find a parking space. The chunk beef is just delicious!

We always take our order to a nearby park and enjoy it out in the open - a very "classy" way of picnicing, is it not? The food tastes excellent - my all-time fav is the happy burrito with carnitas. Plenty of food for even two. I highly recommend it to any one. Sorry Maria Maria in Walnut Creek, Los Ponchos beats you in taste.

The best Mexican food. Cleanest restaurant you will ever go to. Its takeout only, but you can enjoy the best food in the area in the comfort of your own home! I eat there weekly and am never disappointed. Try the #23 Chicken Tacos and the Chile Verde. Call ahead and order as the stand by line can be long.

I will never know how the food is... They open at 11 but I saw someone going in at 11:45 so I followed, but the youngest of them all a lady on her late 30 informe me in a not very nice way that they open at 11 and shooed us out... Perhaps she did not got it the night before... Not our faul.

Credit card machines were down..... Had to give them my credit card information with one of those old school carbon paper sliders. Fingers crossed I dont have my information stolen! Decent food, but not worth the massive headache almost every time I come here. The service is awful.

Food was awesome, service not so much. No atmosphere, just delicious Mex food. Cooked well, salsa is fresh, cant ask for a lot more on the food side. Servers seemed distracted. Maybe having an off day. Zero conversation. 1st impression there was weak. But again, food is solid.

Very bizarre chile rellenos. Soupy. Overly salty. Soggy. Not what i was expecting and quite uhhh not flavorful. I feel kinda bad for the young man that was working very hard to empty the disgusting outside trash. Also the outside tables were quite filthy.

The food is good, if you are lucky enough for them to get your order correct. The wait time can be ridiculous. As in you phone your order in, drive down and pay, then watch as many people who came in after you (and ordered at the counter) leave before you.

I just went there today and the service was great and very friendly. Amazing burritos. They give you free nachos also. Look to spend about 7 dollars for a burrito. They have tvs also and I was able to watch some Monday Night Football. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Overall this place is good. I tend to frequent this place about twice a month. They are usually spot on but they have forgotten items, but they do make up for it. Sometimes the bcrs arent up to par, but its still one of the best mexican spots around.

I do not know of a better Mexican in the area. They must be related to the Mecca restaurant in Pittsburg because their food is just as good and very similar. Go here, when I lived in Concord I always did...no food comes close in the immediate area.

Good food terrible service! The bus person was the best!! If it was not for the bus person we wouldnt had water!!!The waitress disappeared we finally got our salads and no extra napkins nothing no service!!! Not going back there!!!!

This is very good Mexican food at a reasonable price. Be sure to call your order in especially on a Friday/Saturday night. Their hot and mild salsas are great as well. Also note that they are closed on Sundays.

Our favorite weekly go to quick dinner stop! I life saver for our busy family. Have been coming here for about 20 years and I still usually order BCR Burrito! Amazing service every time. Definitely reccomend.

way overpriced--I had the chile verde plate---my girl had the chicken fajita plate---the beans were old and pasty--the rice had color,but no taste--the pork was ok--the chicken was bland---never again.
