This restaurant barely deserves any stars. I gave it 1 because I had to. My husband, son and myself are visiting this beautiful area and after a day on the lake we were starving and craving Italian. We walked in and were 2nd in line to be seated. Another customer walked in front of my husband and even after we told the hostess we had been there first she walked back over to the rude woman, walked her around the restaurant and seated her at the last table on the patio right next to the beautiful ocean view. The hostess then walked us out to the patio where we had a horrible view and absolutely no shade. She apologized for seating the other party first and said she would have someone set up an umbrella to shade our table. A bus boy brought us our waters and as he walked away the hostess was seating another couple and she had the bus boy set up the last umbrella to shade the new couple instead of us as promised. We quickly decided that since she sat a person ahead of us, barely acknowledged the problem, didnt bother to have us shaded and shaded the next couple first that we were afraid our food would be cold, spit in or wrong because she clearly didnt value us as customers. She never gave us a chance to explain that my husband has MS and being in direct sunlight causes him extreme headaches due to photophobia. As my husband walked out ahead of me he told her not to bother with us because we were leaving. The hostess then had the nerve to give me a nasty glare as we walked out. If you want to be treated with respect DO NOT EAT HERE!

We have been wondering about this restaurant as we love Italian food and there are not too many choices in the area. Stopped for a late lunch to check it out. Pros: nice interior and view of the water, menu extensive with lots of choices, wine list very good. Food: dipping sauce for bread very good, Caesar salad dressing very good, Linguini Alfredo very good, Spaghetti very good. Prices very reasonable. Needs improvement: Salad lettuce looked like it had partially frozen and was wilted, bread okay, ordered shrimp for an additional charge to add to the Alfredo and it came with TWO shrimp. Weak. I asked the waiter if the dinner portion came with more shrimp, he said he thought so and would ask but never came back with an answer. He was pleasant but didnt appear to have his heart in his work. Will try again for a second chance and will ask for THREE shrimp on my Alfredo.

Do not eat here if you have celiac disease or gluten intolerance, or if you care about receiving service within a reasonable amount of time. While they offer gluten-free options and express awareness of food allergies on their website, their staff has little to no understanding of what items may contain gluten and the risks of cross contamination. They brought my meal (that I had ordered with gluten free pasta) with normal gluten-full pasta. When they "corrected" my meal, I found gluten-full pasta buried underneath my meal (they used the same plate instead of a clean one). Additionally, we had ordered two bottles of champagne and had to ask twice for each. The waitress also brought red wine glasses for our champagne instead of flutes. Appetizers and meals took an eternity to arrive. I will never come here again.

I have had the sheer pleasure of enjoying Italian food while living in Italy. In fact, very close to the place where Mr. Terraciano lived before he came to America. I first encountered Massimos expertise when I found his first restaurant in Gig Harbor; Terracianos. I have not had food more authentically Italian since returning to the states. Massimo is the connumate host and adheres to the Italian social traditions that make his restaurant such a delight to visit. He visits his guests as they dine, who become friends down the road. The ambiance of the surroundings and his sincere caring for his customers make him unique in the business. You will not forget your experience with Massimo, especially if youre Italian yourself!

The view is always amazing. Everything else varies depending on the day. This past weekend I went with some friends for probably the 5th time this year. It was the best service and good Ive had yet! Whats funny is I ordered the same thing as before but it came it so much different, not complaining evasive it was yummy but its weird how different it was. Same story with the dish my boyfriend had. This was the first time we had desert and I gotta say that will never happen again there, they were all gross and looked like they were made last week. Sort of tasted like that also. So the view is great and sometimes the service and food is ok. We have limited options out here so Im sure well all be back soon.

The service was slow, we waited for almost 30 min. for our food, 3 pasta and 1 pizza dish, in a restaurant with 6 tables seated. The bread they offered was old and the slices smaller than a thumb. My pasta was left over pasta from the day before. The meatballs were not homemade but from the frozen isle and then microwaved. We still are waiting for the chocolate milk for our son, and we had to ask the server multiple times for straws for the water. The second bread basket had 4!!! slices, thumb size, for 4 people. Really? I havent been to this place in 3 years and I remembered why, arrogant and bad service, gross food and the owner sits usually have drunken or half sober, your choice, in the bar...

Nice view of the water, although the windows were VERY fogged with dried salt spray and needed a good cleaning. Ok prices. After four requests was finally served plain sliced (Italian?) bread, cold, but the seasoned oil dip was good. Service was very slow even though the dining room was only a scant half full. I ordered the special of the day, which was cappelini with crab, and while it did taste good, there were only flecks of crab, and for a $15 lunch entree Id like a little more crab. I dont usually give negative reviews, and I might be disappointed because it didnt live up to the enthusiasm of the friend who is a regular there, but overall I was underwhelmed and will probably not return.

Took my wife there for Valentines Day - $75 for 2 people, plus drinks and gratuity. The food did not taste that good and the portion was a tiny square set in the middle of the plate - any other restaurant on the Peninsula is better. Much more satisfying to drive down to Key Center and visit the Roadhouse, and better on your tongue and wallet. Overall, despite the fantastic views, the place is a poor excuse for fine dining, and I give it one star out of charity. It probably is authentic Italian, but Italians dont pay $75 for dinner and expect the same old thing Mama makes every day!

Bread was cold, and served with olive oil? Not sure but seemed watered down. Caesar salad also missed the mark as the dressing was sparse. Pizza crust was not very crispy and the cheese was all wrong. Cheese is supposed to stay on the pizza but it fell off the slice. My son ordered the grilled salmon and the linguine was in a bed of soupy, runny, liquid. Creme brûlée was served cold. No fresh Parmesan offered, just Kraft in a jar. Beautiful view of the water and the moscato was great but thats about it.
