Terrible service. I give it one star for the cooks because out of our 4 meals, 3 were very good. The one that wasnt was an underdone steak which the cook heated up perfectly. The steak was completely unseasoned, which wasnt tasty, but the cook himself brought it out and was kind about it. That kind of stuff happens and doesnt phase us if service is prompt and friendly. Drop your money somewhere else locally that wants your business. These guys dont seem to care. We had a child with us and werent offered crayons or coloring activities and we clearly saw other children in the restaurant with them. The server didnt seem to care at all. About anything! Drink order was forgotten and we had to flag her down to remind her. She never came back to ask how our meals were or if we needed drink refills. We had to grab silverware from a nearby table. We asked for our check and after a frustratingly long time we had to hunt her down near the kitchen to get it. She didnt say where to pay so we just left cash on the table. Who knows how long it would have taken for her to come to us. She was like a zombie going through the motions. My husband and I both have years of experience in serving and restaurant work. We are very understanding of circumstances that prevent service from being great. That said, we also know that there is no reason a server should not check in with a table about quality of food or need of drinks. We had to wait a frustrating amount of time for any server to appear just so we could flag them down! They walked right by without even a glance. We had family from out of town that had never visited Enumclaw and we had hoped to show them the charm of a unique and historically significant restaurant. We were very disappointed. We had been in once before and had excellent service and food. Whatever happened in a couple of years significantly changed this business. So our advice is take your money elsewhere.

While I have not tried this eatery for lunch or dinner, there breakfasts are excellent! One of the few places that I can get a truely good chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravey. The hash browns are also very good and appear to be cut from potatoes on site. The service is very good; they make sure you have all you need without pestering you too much or in the middle of a conversation. And the prices are average (not quite a bargain, but far from being overly expensive). The inn itself is a historic landmark in the area, and the inside of the restaurant is full of antiques and articles from the past. The original bar from when the inn used to be a saloon is still preserved and intact as well. Well worth the drive out to Krain for a wonderful country breakfast. Also check out the farmers store just a block or two down highway 169 toward Enumclaw on the way home.

My husband and I had dinner at Krain Corner Inn (in Enumclaw) restaurant with desert: coconut/carmel pie. This pie was so incredible I came back and bought a whole pie from their bakery: "Baked by Shalyn" - $19.55 (very small). The pie was not the same as what I bought in the restaurant. The pie in the restaurant was awesome. The whole pie I bought after the dinner, from the bakery, was disgusting. I, my husband and a friend agreed the purchased pie tasted like a bottle of fructose corn syrup and lard was added. For being sensitive to corn syrup, I woke up 4-hrs after eating the pie, with a throbbing migraine. I hate giving bad reviews, but I think the baker was lazy and thought it would be ok to give a low quality product to a local Enumclaw resident.....sad!!!

Fantastic ma-n-pa diner, especially the breakfast. Portions vary occasionally, but the food is always good, and even when the portions arent as big its still a reasonable price for what you get. Occasionally the portions are HUGE, suppose it depends on whose doing the cooking. Wait times can get pretty long, especially on Sunday mornings (walking in to see a group of a dozen people all waiting for a table in church clothes means its time to get comfortable), but I say its worth the wait.

Visited with out of state guests summer of 2015. Service was not mean but was not made to feel welcome, or like a guest. Restaurant was not busy but we felt like we were a bother by coming in. Food was sub-par. not gross, but not good either. Overpriced. Can make the same stuff at home but much better. Sorely disappointed... Especially based on the reviews. Will not be recommending or returning. The only positive is the decor was cute and homey.

A friend and I ate my birthday lunch at Krain Corner Inn. Farm style cooking - I had the hashbrowns with cheddar and green peppers breakfast platter which included biscuits & gravy and scrambled eggs too. My friend had the french dip. The food was delicious and servings were big. The complementary birthday brownie and ice cream were really good; big enough to split for our dessert. Service was very good, a nice experience overall.

Horrible!!! I order chicken courdon blu, hubby got fish plate. Mine was heated up...not freshly made. My husband couldnt even finish his fish and he LOVES fish. Our daughter got Mac and cheese for 3.99...could have made that kraft box crap at home and paid $1 for the whole BOX. Save your money and gas.

Pros: + Strong atmosphere + Wide range of offerings (Big menu, dessert, pie area, and a bar) + Trivia pursuit cards on every table are a nice touch Cons: - Quality of food. One person I was eating with described it as "Like Dennys" but I think the comparison is unfair to Dennys.

Great breakfast, great service. Kelly was awesome. If you are within 50 miles of Krain Corner Inn, it is well worth the drive. Food is fresh, portions are generous, the owner and staff are extremely courteous. A must see for anyone visiting or living in the general area.

Krain Corner Inn is a great family environment with amazing home cooked food. Their people are always friendly and attentive. They have the best mozzarella sticks and love their mashed potatoes. To top it off they have great pricing and a bakery in house.

Try the fish and chips, better than Ivars or Skippers. The place has a very nostalgia theme to it with its unique antique decor. Krains has an exciting and fun family athmosphere to it, along with the great food venue. Well worth the stop!

Very good food and service. Wonderful desserts. Nice country relaxed atmosphere. Like playing trivia at the table. Really enjoy the historical photos, etc. I have to get there for breakfast sometime, hear it is outstanding.

Outside of building is in need of repair and paint, but the inside was very nice and clean. The little musium as you enter the restaurant was interesting, a great menu and food. We enjoyed dinner and want to try breakfast.

Great atmosphere. Feels so cozy, and looks like a cute British restaurant! Food was really good, and service was great- very nice girls today. A bit pricey, but we didnt mind because it was such a nice experience.
