Not romantic. My wife and I used our weekly date night to try Cafe De Paris while walking around Edmonds after a recommended print out was posted on the doorway. We could not have been more disappointed. - First impression was that it reminded us of a French Dennys, complete with rolling chairs and 90s decor, but we decided for it nonetheless. - I really went for it and ordered the canard. When it came out it was bland. I dont complain about food much, but it was really bland, so I complained to the waitress. Her recommendation, "put salt on it." On top of that the array of vegetables surrounding the duck were unappetizing to look at and even worse to eat. Especially the spinach which looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. Im sorry, but $75 for two people to have a two glasses of (decent) wine, bread, and two entrees (one sub-par and one terrible) is a major disappointment. (No, no item was removed from the bill, but a decent chocolate mousse was given for free in response to the complaints.) I do not recommend this restaurant and it is absolutely not romantic.

The complimentary bread is wonderful here! Warm, light, soft inside, crispy crust outside. I would come back here just for the bread. They recently started a $25 Tuesday where you get a choice of soup or salad, a choice of entrees, and a dessert for $25 on Tuesdays. We had the cream of mushroom soup and onion soup. Both of which are too salty, so i wouldnt recommend these soups. For entrees, we had the steak frites (ribeye) and shrimp scampi. The ribeye at medium rare was great. Shrimp scampi overcooked, unfortunately. For dessert, Id recommend either the caramel flan or chocolate mousse. The Apple crepe was too sweet for me. Overall, the $25 Tuesday is a great deal that we highly recommend.

I go to Paris all the time as a pilot and the food here is every bit as comparable. Firman...(sp?) the owner has owned this establishment for 29 years and still cooks EVERY meal himself!! I find that amazing and self evident in the meals that come out...We are so lucky to have probably the best french restaurant around in the town of Edmonds. People should come far and wide to experience this food....Firman is local and really takes pride in every meal that he puts out...the other day he was showing off his "hand picked" morel mushrooms that he was infusing into one of his sauces...just simply the best food...

My high-schooler has been taking French and as part of that course he has "culture credits" to do. My experience with eating in France led me to recommend we go to a restraunt. And I couldnt be happier with the choice we made. Our meals at Cafe de Paris were mouth wateringly tasty, full of flavor, and presented beautifully. The decor and atmosphere were just perfect, especially for a romantic date. We each had a different flambe dessert and the desserts were enormous and yummy. My son ate almost all of his and I ate the entire plate. I couldnt help myself Im a dessert lover and theres was delicious!

I just had a baby about a month ago and my husband really wanted to take me out to dinner we were driving around and i was first hesitant because this place was so nice and im sure people did not wanna here a baby cry while eating , any way went to eat here and the service was so nice and poliet they did not mind me haiving the baby in there and they gave us a table that i would feel comfortable at to feed him, (my baby was asleep the whole time probably because the soft music they play, it puts you in a calm mood.) the food was excellent and i will deff, bring my little family back.

The service was a bit slow and the decor left something to be desired but the food was absolutely amazing. The scallops were huge and perfectly cooked and for the price you get 5 or 6 nice sized morsels instead of over cooked tiny things like some other places. I recommend the shrimp appetizer, it was cooked in wine and tomatoes and had excellent flavor. The salmon was a true filet. Not a steak. It was at least 2 inches thick and looked like it was just skinned. Definitely not a pre frozen, thin little thing. All in all worth it.

I absolutely love your filet pepper steak! Your salad and dressing is so fantastic would you bottle it for me please. Your restaurant is one of my favorite places in Edmonds to eat. In fact it could possibly be the best. The atmosphere needs updating but hey maybe when the economy improves but no matter, I still love your food. I have eaten at your place many times and will always come back!

This restaurant has been successful for such a long time because it is amazing! Where have all the stand-by family businesses gone? The food is authentic and the menu is traditional yet diverse. The wines by the bottle list has some fantastic deals. I feel good about seeing the chef/owner, and knowing that he prepared my meal instead of some disinterested line cook. Thank you Cafe du Paris!

Our first visit and we had an excellent meal. The service was a little slow but we remembered service in Paris restaurants and decided this was just part of the atmosphere. The waitresss recommendations were excellent and the house wine was truly very good. The soups were very flavourful and the entrees each individually special, we did not have dessert. We will definitely come again.

My wife and I have eaten at the Cafe de Paris in Edmonds as residents of Edmonds for 20yrs. We find the food to be as good as we ate when in France and eat at the Cafe de Paris often. The best experience is when the owner/chef is cooking. The house salad is excellent and all of the entrees are excellent. Especially if you ar a Crepe lover.

This restaurant provides a nice atmosphere with good service and outstanding food. Everything is flavorful and freshly prepared. Entrees are served with potatoes au gratin, haricot vert, sauteed carrot sticks, and creamed spinach. Their soup, bisque, and salad are simply wonderful. To top it off, the price is reasonable.

My husband and I have eaten there several times. While I think the decor is dated the food is excellent. The most amazing salad, and entree! I cant wait to go back! Also, we have our passport card we use so this is really good value. Cynthia S.

Food was good, staff sat us right next to a party of 25....celebrating a retirement....not exactly a romantic experience, but I would suggest making a reservation....although all other tables were empty.

We took twenty older folks here for lunch. Good food and nice atmosphere. Yes, it took awhile to get our food, but with a large group that is understandable.
