We had a really good meal here. I loved the escargot, which came with angel-hair pasta and a really yummy sauce, and the veal was very good. My wife got the chicken breast, which was about as good as chicken breast could be. My only complaint was that if they sourced their chicken at a place like fulton valley, itd taste better. The chicken they served tasted like standard costco chicken, which isnt really worth $20 to pay for. The veal was fantastic, though. I liked that the place was relaxing and unpretentious, but one downside is the waiter didnt always understand what we were saying. (He didnt seem to understand english that well.) We ended up with 2 escargots instead of 1 escargot and 1 salad, which is what we ordered. Also, when I tried to order a soup, he had already started walking away and didnt seem to understand I was asking about the soup. I know that might sound bad, but it was such a cute place and he was still fairly friendly, so it didnt end up hurting our experience that much.

Dined here with my wife Aug 2015 on recommendation of a chef friend.. Great little restaurant. Well prepared French classics along with rack of lambs, filet in pepper sauce - enough so those wanting classic cuisine will be happy along with those with a less adventurous palette. Intimate, small room with white tablecloths and excellent, personal service. On the quieter side (good - you can talk). Great romantic spot. We spoke with a number of the staff including the chef and owners during our visit, and learned they have been in business 33 years, that says something right there. We had sweetbreads (excellent). and duck a lorange. The steak (filet in pepper sauce), also excellent according to another diner. Food was expertly prepared.

This restaurant is a gem. Small and intimate, the atmosphere and view are pure San Francisco. Service is efficient and elegant, measured and unrushed. The food is excellent. My companions had Cesar salads, which they rated superior to any they had had before. My escargots Provençal were heavenly. Rock fish was superb, the salmon flawless and the canard a lorange was scrumptious. Seaoning and timing were on the money. The cauliflower soup was a delectable surprise as well. Portions are perfect for my taste - not excessive, nor tiny. Creme brûlée was great. We were delighted to discover this little treasure on Nob Hill for our celebration and will surely return.

Filet was delicious yet not spectacular. The sauce overwhelmed the tenderloin. Initially the service was impressive but once a large party of Japanese tourists arrived everything else fell flat. For instance the espresso I ordered came out ice cold. The closeness of the tables lends to a lot of being bumped into.

One of the best experiences we had while in San Francisco! Excellent treatment by all the staff! Excellent food! The sweetbreads were amazing!! I have been in the fine dining business and am a foodie and into wine. This was a real treat!! When in San Francisco I will definitely be here again!

Rue Lepic is a small restaurant on Nob Hill. There is a daily price-fixe menu, with excellent selections available. The wine list is nice, and the service is excellent. You can definitely tell that the staff cares about their clientele. A great meal, I a glad we decided to revisit.

This restaurant was wonderful. The bread was very tasty with surprising seasoning. The Soup that came with my entree was delicious. And the Chicken with Rosemary sauce was perfect. My Husband tried Escargot for the first time and this was a great location to do so.

A wonderful little French restaurant tucked into a small corner space in Nob Hill. Excellent authentic French cuisine and regional wine list. It does get crowded and service slows way down but the food is with it. Pricey but perfect for a date night.

Found this restaurant through Yelp, while on a trip. Restaurant is very cozy, and staff was great! Presentation of my meal was very appealing and I enjoyed my meal. Will definitely consider Rue Lepic for dinner whenever I return to San Francisco

The food here is great. The service is excellent. The staff and owner are very friendly. Nice house champagne and the wine list, while not extensive, is as good as it needs to be. A nice little find.

We had the filet and duck a lorange, both of which were delicious. The best meal weve had in SF so far. We walked in before 6 without a reservation but it was packed by the time we left.

Discovered this gem in 1986! Been visiting ever since! While we do not get to SF as often as we would like, we always include a visit here. Consistently great food and super service!

We enjoyed an excellent dinner-breast of duck and rock cod. The soup, creme of vegetable was superb and we loved the chocolate mousse.

One of San Franciscos best restaurants. Food is consistently superb. Closest thing to a Parisian Bistro in the US.

Often closes early. Do not rely on Rue Lepic for late night dining.
