I felt sorry for the folks in the neighboring fast food drive thru lines because they are missing out! Ive been craving a really good, not-too-over-the-top burger and their bacon guacamole burger and thick chocolate shake really hit the spot. Their burgers are a great value- thick and seasoned well with fresh toppings- for not much more than a chain burger. It didnt make me feel sick to my stomach later like most restaurant burgers do. They also have Jones Soda and RC Cola on tap, which is a total blast back to my adolescence. Its not a fancy place, but its bright and clean and the folks working there are so genuinely friendly. You dont realize how rare polite interactions are until you go to a place like this and the young man behind the counter addresses a 30-something like myself as maam or sir and puts a lot of effort into making sure your order is perfect. I only wish I knew I couldnt add tips to my credit card transaction; the service from everyone I interacted with deserved much better than the loose change I had on hand!

I stopped in here on 9/17 for a bacon/blue burger and fries. This is a review based on my own personal tastes. The pros: VERY clean, VERY nice and helpful staff, prompt service with hot food being delivered with a follow up to make sure the product was acceptable (rare, in a "fast food" environment). My dislikes: about the "fresh ground beef" - about 15-odd minutes after leaving I got that "Burger King fake smoke" flavor in the back of my mouth that persisted for hours in burps (which is why I avoid Burger King) - so IMHO the "fresh ground beef" bit is a bit of a misnomer in that there are additives used to "enhance" its flavor. Also, too much of their "sauce" kept me reaching for napkins. Its a nice place, with nice people, and great service - but I will not be returning here because of the experience *after* I left that led me feeling - literally - there was more being put in the ground beef than I was told during the ordering.

K&M reminds me of my (missed) favorite mom and pop burger and shake drive-ins found all around the Midwest. Only difference? K&M is a lot nicer and cleaner to look at, haha. They have hardy portions and the prices are reasonable for the Pacific Northwest area. They do everything right and make their sauces in house (very tasty ranch). They are usually busy but the drive thru goes fairly quick for being made to order. The inside is a tight space so we usually go in the drive thru and park at the nearby riverfront and eat. Great burgers and they do not skimp on the toppings. They keep the right formula on how to do restaurants; small menu, quality ingredients, reasonable price and cooking it well. Our service is always good. I can tell the owner loves what he does and values his customers (another familiar Midwest trait). I love their handcut fries! My husband and son love their onion rings.

I came in for the first time and was greeted by a really nice girl who explained everything on the menu to her with no appearance of irritation or "come on now" attitude for having to do so. We got a regular bacon cheese burger, the guac burger, some fires and a shake. All were excellent choices. Handcut fries, fresh patties the whole nine. It was so damn good. I love the char on the burgers and if my diabetes wouldnt stop me I would probably sit and try each shake with some fires. Also everything here is fresh and locally sourced yet its still cheaper and way better than that Burgerville bs. Its really worth the 20 something minutes it take to drive here. One thing I might recommend because of their short drive thru and the fact things are made fresh is that maybe they adopt a Dutch Bros style approach to taking drive thru orders.

I have been wanting to eat here for a year and finally made it to my disappointment. Ordered the Bacon Bleu Cheesburger, too much dressing and the burger had a smoked funny flavor and we had burps for a few hours. Ordered the garlic fries which were rubber, unedible and funny tasting, threw that away. Also ordered the Chili, it had a sour and bitter flavor to it, threw that also, ordered a Chicago Dog and asked if everything was in the bag and of course answered yes. I should have checked and it was not in the bag dont even want to go and get the damn hot dog. So wasted about $14.00 on food that we either did not get or was just gross. Our first and last time too bad.

The burgers are really good but one thing bothers me, I watched a female worker change all the garbages but never washed her hands afterwards . It kind of makes me wonder if the one cooking my burger, has washed his or her hands and is wearing gloves. Lots of mom & pop restaurants in small towns dont realize the importance in food safety and starts with training their staff good cleaning habits. Please, wear gloves and please, wash your hands and change those gloves often. Remember, once you get someone sick, your place of business will be " No More". The owners are very nice, hard working people and I would hate to see this happen to them.

This place is a local gem! My husband and I drive 40 min one way for dinner here, its that good. AWESOME food, good service, reasonable prices, and the place is super clean inside which really reflects well on the business; if the keep the entire place clean you know they are meeting standards everywhere. Thats probably why their food is SOOOO good! We met the owner and he is a super nice guy that is trying to run his business right and in my opinion he is succeeding. This is our new favorite spot and we highly recommend it!!!

Had fabulous food the first time I ate there. 2nd time we go I got a RAW and still somewhat cold burger and was told well we cook our meat to this degree and I felt like the lady tried to call me a liar when I said my food was RAW. This makes me not want to eat there food anymore. Im sorry for the poor review but RAW meat is far from okay. I have pictures of it as well if you guys would like.

I dont think I have ever given a 5-star rating... But this place is above and beyond! The hamburgers are very delicious, but the best part of the experience was Kevin. Nobody has every made me feel more welcome and taken care of as him. He is VERY busy but always takes time to take care of his customers... I say customers but he treats everyone as friends. I will definitely be going back!

Best freshfood burgers and the shakes are the best quality you can get. The owner works hard here and I think thats why everything here is top notch. Good prices and I couldnt believe the fast food place next door had so many people because this place is comparably priced and the quality is way better. 5 stars for fries cut when you order and never frozen local beef.

This place is awesome! I love coming here. Granted there are not many places to eat in Washougal, BUT this so far I think is the best. Their zucchini sticks are amazing..try some with ranch. Also, they have excellent customer service. As someone whos worked with the public for years I completely appreciate it and because of that will continue to be a patron.
