Freshness: 5 Stars Presentation: 5 Stars Value: 4 Stars Hot House Sake: 3 Stars This is the first sushi restaurant I attended lo those 5 years ago, and this culinary apex is what got me hooked on sushi. The fish is fresh, portions are just right, and the value is great when you consider the quality of the food (7$-15$ per roll). They have a variety of raw fish and cooked rolls, though most of them are prepared in a way that makes them comparable to a Big Mac. Sushi can be considered a fairly healthy food; not so at Sushi Town! Unless you are eating nigiri or kappa maki rolls, Sushi Town has Americanized sushi to the extreme. Many of the rolls come with cream cheese or are covered in a delectable mayonnaise-y sauce, and some are deep-fried. Their most diabolical roll, the Bonney Lake, I always regret at getting during all-u-can-eat lunch because this monster comes with tempura shrimp, AND cream cheese, AND its deep fried WITH plenty of mayo crab on top. Artery-hardening deliciousness! The #1 roll to try here is the Trump, a garlic-sauced monster that gets scorched by an open flame. Their house sake is mediocre at best (I recommend the cold sake or beer), but Sushi Town has everything else perfected! Expect it to be busy. Happy sushi-ing!

The food is great and staff was friendly....if youre willing to wait 20-30 mins. I guess this is to be expected where it is hard to find anyone over 18 that works here. One of the waitresses, not mine thankfully, stood around the counter talking to the sushi chefs disrupting their work nearly the entire time I was there or spent it flirting with a couple male guests. And some talking about their tips. They also do not make to-go orders till you arrive and frequently mess them up. I know because I heard every bit where I was sitting. The sushi chef was great. There was a delay on our first rolls and he was very apologetic. But not the waitresses who took 15 mins for a refill or another 20 for our ice cream. They did offer a discount but I really suggest a manager present to handle the young staff.

I have never ever encountered a bad hostess or waitress. I did have an order messed up, understandably as they are super busy every Monday i get carry out. They promptly made me another roll and all was good. The sushi is always fantastic, and fresh. I have never had a bad roll or anything that tastes "fishy" in a bad way or sub-par. Previous person that tried 5 times as you said and you were never happy, why would you keep going, sounds like you wouldnt be happy where ever you went if you were unhappy 5 times over. My experience has always been stupendous here. I will forever be a Trappers fan. They also support local charities and is always fun to partake!!!! Keep it up Trappers obviously you have a niche if you have so many chains and the few that dont like it are just that...a few.....

Unprofessional staff. Majority of the staff was lacking effort to take care of their customers. It took 30 minutes for us to get our food . We been in here before and never had to wait this long. I watched what I assume a off hours employee out of uniform distract 4 of the employees on staff (wearing the die clothing. Not work attire. Behind the counter.) In total while our food was being cooked I saw 8 employees just standing around and rubbing other employees heads. Really?! Our waitress was fine but the majority of the staff was what I assume hurting the turn around time on getting food out. (Playing on cell phones, grouping to together rubbing some guys head and chit chatting is not what a customer wants to see when they are waiting for food.)

THANK YOU!!! My sister and mom both have very serious food allergies and Monica, our waitress, was so understanding and kind hearted toward the situation and went above and beyond!! She went through every item on the rolls they ordered and asked if they could eat them or not and talked to the chef personally and instructed him on how to safely prepare their foods. Hands down, the BEST service I have ever witnessed. And the food was amazing as always! Thank you for giving us a "safe" restaurant experience and for making them both feel comfortable about the food they received. It made our vacation extra special to be able to eat out together as a family, which we rarely ever get to do. Very. Satisfied.

this thing should let you do no stars!!!dont know where the people who wrote these other reviews went but they obviously didnt go here. first problem was the waitress. I dont think she knew what she was doing because it took way to long to get our food. it really ticks me off when you see people who are seated a good 20 min after you but yet they receive their food first. now lets talk about the food. it was some of theworst sushi I have had in my life. the quality of the fish is really poor and we spent $18 on their lobster roll which was horrible. we didnt even finish one of the three rolls we got. if you know anything about actual sushi dont go here!!!

We visited this location with our family for mothers day a few weeks ago. We waited two hours to receive our food and were over charged on our bill. Each of the children got food poisoning from this visit and spent the night throwing up causing them to miss school the following day. None of the rolls they consumed contained raw fish or anything that would otherwise be abnormal for a child to eat. One of the children actually vomited immediately after eating while still in the restaurant. I would not recommend this location for anyone with children nor for anyone concerned with proper food handling which is important when consuming raw or undercooked fish.

Slow service in the restaurant both times weve been there. Decent service at the sushi bar but waited 20+ minutes for drinks. The previous time it was over an hour. Food quality was terrible. The rice was old and hard. The rolls were mostly rice and mayo. Instead of clean, sweet, fresh fish, the place uses mayo and sauces to cover a fishy smell. It was about as close to genuine sushi as a McRib. Id expect more authentic, better tasting sushi at a mall food court. This place prices for quality sushi and serves fast food. We left with stomach aches and it wasnt from overeating.

Trappers Sushi has become THE local name for sushi! I like the Bonney Lake location because its close to home and have gotten very familiar with the menu. Sushi is of quality, staff is friendly and take-out is painless. Have never left unsatisfied and theyll tell you if you can save money with Happy Hour pricing. Overall great place. The downside of the Bonney Lake location is its size. Weekend nights are always slammed and the wait time is a little high for a sushi place.

My oldest daughter loved the gyoza, fried shrimp & chicken teriyaki, kids eat free on Sunday with a purchase of one of their Japanese sodas (kind of a wierd requirement but whatever). We enjoyed their happy hour long rolls; Mountain, Puyallup & the Bonney Lake. Just as good as I remembered. The service does leave something to be desired, we had to ask for refills, straws, and remind her for a drink we ordered. However the food made up for it. We will be back.
