The Bistro is lovely inside and out! But the service and food quanity has really declined in the last few years. First: they will not take reservations. We arrived on Sunday morning and, as usual, they seemed understaffed. The wait was one hour for inside seating and 30 mins for outside. They previously would take a cell phone number to call when the table was ready. But this time the hostess refused, saying theyd changed their policy. (This meant that we could not take my three children to walk around the garden while we waited) Quick rant on other things: Waitress got my drink order wrong. Instead of an Arnold Palmer I was brought a iced tea, then later, instead of fixing it, I was brought a small cup of lemonade. (?) Asked for a highchair twice. Never got one. My sons childs meal came with two tiny chicken strips. (This is about half the food we used to get in a kids meal for the same price of 6.95) I complained and the waitress brought out one more chicken strip just as we were about to leave. We waited one hour for our food (thats too long even for a party of 5). The food we did get was good and fresh, but overpriced. Im giving three stars because we loved the garden, but considering the mediocre service, long wait, and lack of accommodation for families, we intend to look elsewhere for a good place to take our family for lunch on Sundays.

Kathy Pearson - Yesterday I took some out of town friends to the Windmill for lunch. When we arrived about 1pm, there were approx 3 tables of two. I asked if we could sit outside and was told they werent sitting people outside at that time. She also said there would be about a 25 minute wait for inside or outside. My friend said "Even with all of the empty tables?" and she said yes. She said they were at capacity and didnt have enough staff to take more diners at that time. We were very disappointed and decided that we werent going to stay. We had a lovely lunch at another local restaurant.

Very cute hidden little spot! It is truly adorable. A perfect place for a lunch date or ladys outing. The food is very good and the atmosphere is peaceful and quite cute. Their salad was unusually good and their servings were good sized as well. I split a dish with someone and they separated everything for us. Behind it is a tea shop and nursery which are very much worth going to! Food, service and atmosphere were all above average. I also saw people sitting at a bar with their laptops. It might be a great getaway spot for going to write a paper away from it all.

This is an exceptional venue for a lunch in the summer or inside in the fall or later. Prices are reasonable (under 15.00 for a lunch per person, with complimentary refills on delicious lemonade). The food is wonderful and nicely presented and there is a nice variety of offerings. The ambience set amidst well tended and gorgeous flowers is memorable. Take your mom, girlfriend, or gather friends here for a real treat. Then you can wander the multi greenhouses and enjoy or purchase one of their products, many are stunning and unique.

Found this beautiful place pretty much by accident and could not have been happier! It was peak hours for Sunday brunch, so we had to wait a bit, but DEFINITELY worth the wait! Best breakfast weve ever had. All of the food was perfectly prepared and super delicious. And its the cutest place! If you can, make a reservation in advance. You wont be disappointed!

The last two times we have gone we have been told there would be 20+ minute wait even though there are clearly over ten empty tables. The host/hostess has been incredibly rude to us about the fact that they are "always busy" and that its "worth the wait." The food is fine, but not worth the wait or the higher end price range.

Quaint and intimate. It can be a little loud when the restaurant is at full capacity but the food is consistently good as is the service. Especially if I want to change up my order. Outdoor seating is available during warm weather. Call ahead on the weekend to make sure they are not closed to the public due to private events.

This restaurant is like a second home to me. And my family. Super friendly service overall they. Make you feel comfortable! Now the food is out of this world. My favorite is the French onion soup and shrimp scampi. I recommend you make a reservation on peak hours! But if you have to wait , I promise it will be worth it!

Fantastic atmosphere, good friendly service, and the food was simply great. I had the Blue Cheese burger while my sister had the breakfast sampler. Needless to say we inhaled every bite. I highly recommend this place and the gardens immediately after eating. Great way to work off the meal

The Windmill Bistro has a friendly atonpshere. The portion sizes may not look like much, but are well worth the price for the quality of food you get. Very populated with many servers to assist you, when you come in. For newcomers I would recommend calling to make a reservation first.

An overused phrase, "Best Kept Secret", applies here. What a delightful oasis on the outskirts of Sumner. You feel as though youre on vacation and have found that perfect nook of class, casual, ambiance and, of course, delicious unique meals.

Such a cute place! My friend brought me here for lunch and everything from start to finish was excellent. I had the peach tea, crab melt, caesar salad, and finished with the BEST chocolate cake. I am looking forward to returning soon.

The staff was very rude for my large party. There were not enough tables or parasols on the patio for such a sunny day. Im sure the place would be lovely if not for the poor service. The bussers were lovely. My waitress was a cow.

We just moved to this area, and this place is amazing!! Excellent (gourmet-level) food and really warm welcoming atmosphere. I definitely recommend weekend brunch, but be sure to make a reservation as they get busy.

The food was great, delivered quickly and the wait staff very friendly. We did have to wait 15 minutes despite open tables so "the kitchen could catch up" - perhaps more kitchen staff is in order?

Breakfast was amazing! I have never had a breakfast burrito taste so good. And the biscuits and gravy are easily the best. I have ever had. This place was on point today.

Awesome food. Beautiful landscaping. Sales on plants. Bought geraniums on sale cheaper than Home Depot or Lowes. Imagine that !

Sometimes not exactly what I order, but small things like the jam flavor or the type of cheese. Other than that very good.
