Ok, this restaurant used to be known as Thai Amerin until about a year ago. At that time, the people who owned it were awesome. The food was great. And the service was genuinely happy. Why they sold it or went out of business, I have no idea. Now, under the new "ownership", the prices are higher and the service is horrible. The food is pretty good, unless you order something that you think you know what it is, but when it comes out, you realize it is not what you thought it was. For example, my husband and I went there for dinner the other night and I ordered something that I had ordered before (when it was Thai Amerin). When the dish came out, it was nothing like what I had previously ordered. But I tried it anyway. It was an appetizer, and there were 10 pieces to it. I ate two and decided that I didnt like it. I asked for it to be taken off of my bill and the server was very rude. She asked why I ordered it if I didnt want it. I said I tried it and didnt like it. She said I ate two pieces so I had to pay for it. Finally, she took half of the dish off of the bill. I have never been talked to so rude by a server, let alone be told that I had to pay for something I didnt like eating. At most other restaurants, it is about keeping your repeat customers happy. Not at this one. If I had done this repeatedly, I would understand. But we are in there at least once every few weeks. And we have never asked for something to be taken off of the bill before. My husband and I are looking for a new Thai restaurant because I dont like the service at this one. The sever is never genuine, and when you ask her to do something she doesnt like, she is outright rude. Its only saving grace is that most of the food is fairly good.

We have been to this restaurant twice. The first time, about a month ago, the food was fine and the service o.k. Last night we went again with some friends. My partner ordered a special called fish noodle soup. After a few bites she pushed it aside and said she couldnt eat anymore and said it made her sick. I tasted the soup and it had a very strong fish taste. We left not really knowing what made her sick, but suspecting the soup and the mussels in the soup. As the night wore on she became very sick with diarrhea all night. Looking back we realized we all shared the same dishes with the exception of the soup....although I did have one taste, but no mussels. My partner ate several. The service was poor and the other thing was the floor was sticky when you walked on it. We wont be going back again.

In short with out going into all the horrible details of this visit... Worst Thai food I have ever had!!! The curry was so runny in came in a bowl and was like soup. The order came out wrong and the server would not make it right and still charged us for something we didnt order and would not take it back. The rudest service I have ever experienced in a restaurant. I will never go back and will tell anyone I know not to try this restaurant.

I spent 3 months in Thailand last fall and the Panang curry here was better than any Panang that I tasted there. Wow. If you like curry, this is the spot. The Masaman and Panang are both the best that Ive had in Portland. I finally found a place that tops Chai Thais previous claim to "best Ive ever had". The golden crab won tons are pretty amazing too. EAT HERE!!!!

Nothing on the menu has yet to disappoint. Ive turned into a regular and tend to go with the Pad Thai. The salad rolls are good (and more of a conduit for the peanut sauce, in my opinion) and you cant go wrong with their Thai Iced Tea. Everything is fresh and the portions are hearty. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a flavorful meal.

Ive only been served by one guy and hes super friendly and funny, loves to joke around. Its never very crowded during the dinner hours. The food is really great! I normally get the pad thai with pork. The noodles are a good texture and the sauce sticks to the noodles well. They give you a tiny little cheesecake slice at the end of each meal too.

Pretty good for the price. The building is a older and hasnt aged too good, but the food is delicious! I definitely recommend the Thai tea and the mango sticky rice is a must-have! The staff was nice and we didnt have any problems with our order! Like I said, the place could use a little remodeling, but the food is delecious!

Arrived at 8pm on Sunday night with a group of 5. We tried the Tom Yum, Pad Thai, Poh Taag, Panang Curry, Pad Kee Mao, and Kao Pad Bu. Everyone enjoyed the food, myself included. The Pad Kee Mao had a different flavor than what Im used too, but it was good! Would come back again.

Authentic Thai food and a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. I love to come here on my way back from Mt. Hood and sometimes we drive out here from Portland because we love it so much.

The food was amazing, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the prices are very fair. The building was unusually bright for a Thai place but it wasnt bad at all.

Very clean restaurant with prompt service. However, that does not make up for the terrible food. Worst pad Thai Ive ever had! Will definitely not be going there again.

Try My Thai has the best curry in the Portland Metro Area. I prefer Chai Thais noodle dishes - but the curries here are amazing. Their Won Tons are great, too.
