Batgirl found this place last night. What a gem! I grant you, the ambiance leaves something to be desired. But hey, this isnt downtown Seattle where restaurants hire lighting specialists. This is Black Diamond/Covington/Maple Valley. Which means when you find a place that serves out-of-the-ordinary food in a scrumptious and even artful manner, you sit up and take notice. Ive been to german-style places in the past where the food was average. Not Europa. I got potato dumplings and spaetzle as my sides, both in gravy. The gravy was so fresh and aromatic that it was obviously freshly prepared, not canned. MMMM! And my main course, pork shoulder stuffed with mushrooms and cheese, was fantastic, especially with the extra gravy. Along with a glass stein of Dunkel beer, and apple strudel for desert, and I was sold. Will definitely be going back!

Hey, all we just spoke to Greg yesterday 08/17/2015 and the restaurant is closed because it is moving to Black Diamond. They will reopen in mid-September. So dont despair and wait with great anticipation as we will. It is worth the following, trust us. This is the best German/Polish food one can ever have. It isnt often I recommend everything on the menu! And one Must start off with the goulash stew, it is so so delicious!!Honestly I cant just recommend one dish, one must try all!!! If you tried going and it was closed, please try again, Greg the owner had been sick and has gone through some surgeries but his wife, Maria and son have been trying to keep up while Greg recovers. You will not be disappointed!!

Honestly I cannot say enough about Europa. It is the most authentic european food you may find anywhere with Greg and Maria Goch from Poland cooking your food. It is the best food in Enumclaw and in the area. They just moved from a tiny place into a bigger and more up to date building where they can cook more authentic eastern european dishes. The deserts there are made by some Russian women in federal way that are to die for. The gulash soup and cabbage rolls were not anything I would have tried but after hearing how good they were I get those as my starter evrey time. The portions are huge and delicious at Europa and you must go there to eat!!!!!!

The internet says they close at 9. Their voicemail says they close at 9. I showed up at 8:20 one day only to find they actually close at 8. So the next day I tried calling ahead a to-go order at 7:20, and got no answer. I tried 5 times to reach them as I drove there. Arrived at 7:50 and THE DOORS ALREADY LOCKED. I snuck in as some other people were leaving and asked the hostess if it would be possible to order something to go. Nope!! The kitchen closes at 7:45. Told her they should just say they close at 7:45. Her glib apology was the closest thing I got to decent service from this place. Lazy, dishonest, smug jerks.

Its not my opinion, it just Simply is the way of the world that This is The Best European food you can get. Ive grown up in a polish/German speaking household with all the values and traditions molded into my brain. I would frequently eat meals prepared by other native Europeans so I know the spectrum of tastes and anyone who has any idea would agree that Europa is the Best. Its a shame 2 people gave a poor rating because had they taken the stick from the rear it would have changed their experience. But again, great food. Its almost as if The food is prepared by my mom and dad... Wait a second... ....

My husband and a group of friends gave this place three chances. Once on opening weekend... A few months later... And again last night. I suppose its pretty hard to screw up fried German food with gravy... But getting the food in a timely manner... With friendly staff... Was apparently too much to ask for. Sad! Oh and dont count on them having everything available on the menu... Or fresh produce. Only one waiter running the entire restaurant... On a Thursday night! Please hire more staff and train them!!! Looking forward to one more shot in another 6 months... If they are still there!!!

My wife and I were very happy to find this place! She was born in Poland, and finding a store or restaurant that she can have a taste of the "homeland" really makes her feel at home. The owners are a Polish couple, the gentleman grew up for several years in Germany. So, they know how to cook both german and polish cuisine. The food is authentic and tastes great. The atmosphere is cozy, and casual. They make you feel at home, and love to share stories. Great place for the family. We will be making this place a regular visit.

Just returned from trip down Danube & wanted to have some great German food. I was disappointed in the cuisine. My sister had the cabbage roll & I bratwurst lunch plate. Her tomato sauce tasted like Campbells soup & my German potato salad a unflavorable cold mixture. I was expecting hot German potato salad with maybe some nice vinegar & crumbled bacon. Salad not fresh & unappetizing. Rolls served cold & stale. Both soups were flavorful & brat ok. We had apple strudel for dessert. Did not come close to what I had.

Best European food around. Im from Czech Republic near Polish boarders. We used to go to Seattle to Polish Club on Madison to get some good Polish food and Leavenworth to get some good German food. But now, its in my own town of Enumclaw, where the food is even better! The best Jaeger Schnitzel! Their soups are amazing as is everything else. The staff/owners are super friendly.

This place has very good food if you can catch them open. We have got food to go when they were next to the gas station but have not been to the new location because they are never open. How many restaurants are not open on a Saturday afternoon/evening. This makes three times in a little over a month. Call before you go!!

Amazing Reuben and schnitzel. We also had the mango cheese cake, which as a fruit cheese cake it was very well balanced. Not too sweet and not too tart. It is too bad they dont have more tables as I can see having to wait a while for this amazing food! Cant wait to come back and get more hangover soup!

A small place in the little town of Black Diamond. The menu is excellent with so many German favorites that it was very hard to choose. Prices are very reasonable and the service couldnt have been better! This place is a keeper! I just wish we lived closer...

The food is great and there is plenty of it! Features German and Polish food made fresh (except the sausages of course) on site. The weinersnitzel with pineapple lemon sauce is one of my favorites and I absolutely love the red cabbage.

Authentic Eastern European food. Two Ukrainian friends said so! Delicious, I had the Jagerschnitzel, could not believe the size, covered the entire plate! Really enjoyed the red cabbage and the "hangover" soup.
