Well, we visited this place on a visit to Williamsburg. The food was average - as you would expect in any mediocre indian restaurant, the ambience was good and the prices were on the higher side... all that is fine... the worst part, the part which will ensure we never come back again and also share the feedback more broadly was the service - one of the waiters (with a pony) was just outright obnoxious... we were tired and just hoped he was having a bad day (and hence was so messed up and rude) so decided not to bring up the matter with the manager of the hotel (assuming he would have cared). This waiter would suggest that we pick up all the cleared up plates on the table and hand them over to him as if he was being paid by the restaurant to just show his face!!.... never before have I seen that in ANY restaurants which are not self serve... you could out of courtesty pick up a plate on your table and pass it on to the person coming to clear the table if you see him really occupied...but that was not at all the case here... really hope the management of this chain looks into the behavior of some of their staff...

Indian hot - no joke, food was excellent and large portions. I ordered the chicken subz salna which had lots of different vegetables and chicken. Most indian places dont usually mix meat with veggies. You usually need to order a meat dish and then a vegetable dish if you want veggies. The chicken subz salna was exactly what i wanted. They gave a hotness scale of 1 to 5. I told them 7. They laughed a little and turned to mife wife and said "maam, is he sure". My wife said "yes, you dont know my husband, he likes it very hot", then my son piped up and said " yeah, hot enough to send the average person to the ER." We all laughed and 15 min later the food arrived. Everything was great, and after eating, my mouth was still burning- exactly how I like it. My kids and wife enjoyed their dishes as well. We Spent about $100 on a family of 5 but had lots to take home. Very clean bathrooms, nice wait staff. Drinks stayed full. Will go again most def.

The lunch buffet is high quality, delicious, and reasonably priced ($9.95 weekdays and $10.95 weekends). The atmosphere is classy, the wait staff is friendly, and the kids love it here (theyre 2, 5, and 7). Its a great place to bring friends because the food is compatible with lots of special diets (e.g. vegetarian, low carb, Mediterranean, etc.), plus its nice to be able to eat as soon as we arrive without having to wait to order. Spinach, eggplant, or lamb dishes tend to be my favorites, while the kids especially love the tandoori chicken (and of course naan bread). Most of the buffet dishes range from mild to moderately spicy, so if you like it Indian hot, you may have to come for dinner or ask the staff to spice it up for you.

I went to the lunch buffet. The tea was iced and it was very dark almost the color of cola and it was not bitter at all. It was a wonderful tea. I ordered mine unsweetened and added a sweetener with lemon. They have several entree items on the buffet line, basmati rice and several vegetarian offerings which were wonderfully prepared. Nothing is flaming Hot spice wise. The aromaticness of the spicing is just right. The food was fresh the salad offerings were very tasty. They also had several sauces which I did not try but I did taste the yogurt-based sauce and it was delightful. I would go there again. The atmosphere and the politeness of the staff made for a great dining experience. I was very pleased.

From the outside the restaurant doesnt look like much because it sits in an old strip mall. Dont let that fool you! This place is awesome. Once you walk through the doors you enter a large, spacious, elegant dining room. It is clean, stylish, and upscale. A complete 180 from the outside. The food is delicious. Sometimes I like to eat vegetarian. Nawabs Cuisine hit the spot. I cant remember the names of the dishes because I dont know much about Indian food. But I had this eggplant dish that was incredible! I dont know how they made eggplant taste so good. I definitely be back to visit the next time Im in Williamsburg.

Just amazing. This place simply never fails to delight. I go here every time I come down to Williamsburg and the food is amazing! The restaurant itself is in a shady shopping center thats awfully run down but once you step in the restaurant you find a quaint, warm atmosphere. The owner is a great man who Ive spoken with every time and he always makes his best effort to cater the food to your liking. The food definitely has a Punjabi style to it, making it all the much better. The chicken tikka masala and curry chicken are must-haves!

Couple of reasons for 2 stars 1. Not enough vegetarian options for appetizers. When asked if they could replace the chicken tikka with a paneer dish in one of the samplers, we got a blunt no 2. Naan came out cold and even after sending it back it still came out cold and stretchy (old bread) 3. Papad served at the beginning was soggy and wasnt fresh 4. No place to change a kid. Not kid friendly. We are likely not coming back. But the reason we gave an extra star, the old lady who i think runs the place was really sweet.

Love the all you can eat lunch buffet! These people always treat me nice, I come in, they bring fresh Naan to my table in a special bowl (I dont even have to ask anymore), and if I ask, is the food on the buffet table fresh, they make sure the buffet is stocked with fresh food, ASAP (even though it is within one hour of them ending lunch at 2:30pm). Fridays, they have a special menu, chili chicken, butter chicken, spinach and peas, cabbage and potatoes etc... Excellent taste, spicy etc!

Very surprised to see good reviews here. My wife and I did not find the food to be fresh or authentic. As there is no competition (this is the only Indian restaurant in Williamsburg), I feel there is no pressure on owners to increase the quality of the food. This place is even worse for vegetarians as there are very limited number of vegetarian options. If you are looking for authentic Indian food, go elsewhere (there are much better places in Newport News -- especially Aago).

The food at this place is not great. You order anything with Chicken and you get the kind of meat which is not cooked well. Order a chicken biryani and you will get rice mixed with some chicken curry. The waiter comes to you and says that they make the chicken in a different way.. Its not cooked well for one and the combination of spices is awful. Maybe this place works coz this is the only one close to prime outlets. Try other places.. This place is is worth skipping.

This isnt my favorite Indian food restaurant but it is still very good. We have eaten here several times and have brought family and friends here. The Peshwari naan, although different than others Ive had since they put coconut and maraschino cherries inside it, is still good. The naan is about half the size of other restaurants Ive eaten at but still around the same price. Their chicken tikka masala is good. I wish they offered lamb coconut korma.
