This was our first time going to a Bonefish Grill and it was nothing great. I rate this seafood on the same level as Red Lobster, even though the prices were higher. The appetizer, saucy shrimp, was good, but the main dish was a disappointment. I got the special for 2 people that included 2 salads, 2 sides, 2 shrimp, 2 scallops, and 3 small pieces of fish for $39. The fish was drenched in sauce & seasoning and I couldnt taste the difference between the salmon, bass, and grouper. I couldnt even tell I was eating fish, because the natural flavor was completely overwhelmed. Perhaps it was less than fresh, so they were trying to cover it up. And this sauce was not that great either, had a slight B.O. odor to it. The portion was small, but we couldnt have stomached more of it anyway, so it worked out. On the positive side, the wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The waiter explained the menu in depth for everyone who had never been there before. They could have used a few more waiters though, because we had to wait 20 minutes for the check. Atmosphere was nice, but they put huge sheets of paper on the tables. I guess this makes clean up easier, but it wastes paper and looks tacky. Overall, I do not recommend Bonefish Grill for high quality fish. The filet mignon and shrimp were good, but the fish was sub-par. Unfortunately, I havent found a really good seafood restaurant in Williamsburg. The Whaling Company was alright, and for the money it was a better deal than Bonefish Grill.

2017-05-13 Bread is always good, service was good tonight (we arrived before 5pm, and this was college graduation, high school prom and mothers day weekend). We only came to eat here because we had a $50 gift card. The caesar salad was good but the tilapia did not taste good and fresh salmon was not cooked enough. In the past, my daughter and I waited 1 hour for a to-go order, standing up at the front door, having to watch so many people be seated etc and I felt humiliated that they took so long to bring us our food even though I was right there at the hostess desk, staring them in the face and giving them a constant reminder that we are waiting for our to-go order. I used to come here often and stopped coming because the food and service are not the best. Tonight, was first time in years, eating at this restaurant, but the dining room was well lit, and not as dark as it was in the past. When we arrived, we saw plenty of tables available, they told us that we had to wait 20 to 25 minutes. While we were being seated, we told the hostess, that we asked for a booth, and they told us that those are all reserved for guests that made reservations at least 1 hour prior to arriving; I found that interesting and we wished that we called and reserved our table prior to arriving.

Just had first visit. Food was good however service was poor. We ordered our drinks and they didnt come until just after our meal was served. Most places, the drinks come very soon way before your main meal. Waitress never came back either so we couldnt ask what was up. The guy who delivered our meals promptly left as we were about to ask so we couldnt ask for our drinks. Finally drinks came then waitress disappeared again. Salad came with no dressing. No bread plates, no silverware ect. We had to ask for all this and drink refills. Our second drinks didnt come until after we were done with our meals AND they were more expensive than our first drinks for some odd reason. Waitress just wasnt there the entire night. Good food but service could be better.

We frequent the place. We enjoy the atmosphere and staff is usually spot on. The food well its miss or miss most often. The order is usually wrong and they have eaten the bill a lot more times than they care for. All of it could have been avoided with a little attention to detail and some care in the preperation of the food. We enjoy the food when its right and honestly williamsburg area resturants just suck. Bone Fish is not as bad as the rest of them. I like the new menu.

What a disappointment. Used to go to another Bonefish in TN almost weekly. Been to the one here 4 times, disappointed every time. The service is r e a l l y s l o o o o o w, especially the bar, who does not know how to make a martini. The Bang Bang Shrimp is always a winner, but the entrées have really slipped. Fish lacks seasoning, is picked up late (lukewarm), overcooked vegetables. Maybe its just the management at this location.

The hostess who seated us represented the restaurant with smile on her face and a hearty hello. Nice atmosphere with good decor. The waitress Cariana was knowable of the food on menu.I had calimare with great sauce and shrimp and scallops with six different sauces and garlic potato. My wife had kobe steak burger with house chips. The food was great and service excellent. First time at this restaurant want be our last

This place was awesome!! My family of 8(4 kids) got there 30 minutes before they closed and they had no problem seating us and were totally fine with us coming in that late. Food was awesome, not insanely priced, service was great and she explained the menu well and quickly, nice atmosphere. No complaints only kinda negative thing I could say about it is the music was just a little loud. Highly recommend!

I will never go here again! Expensive for no reason. Filet mignon tasted like a sirloin steak. No flavor what so ever along with an angry server who made a point to state that she needs to be at the bar she hates waitressing.. last but not least we sat for 25 minutes waiting on the check which she argued with me about because messed up. Smh! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Food is ok, service is horrible. I have been there more than 5 times, always hoping it will get better--Im now giving up hope. Inattentive servers and bartenders, you have to flag them down to get anything. Last night the bartender tried to scam me into buying more drinks by delaying to put in my carry-out order. Not a pleasant place at all. Avoid.

Food was good but service was deplorable. Waitress kept calling us madams and probably thought a little French would make up for her awful service. It took forever to get our drinks, for her to take and then deliver our orders and then, not surprisingly, our bills were all wrong. The restaurant wasnt crowded. There was no excuse.

We had dinner on 3/1/17 and the food was less then average compared to previous visits. Green beans were tough and undercooked. Creamed spinach lacked the presence of cream. Tuna was ok but not real fresh. Food was warm...not cold just warm. The service seemed slow considering the fact the place was not the busy.

This is the first time weve eaten at fhe Bonefish Grill and were from out of state! It was a great decision. The food was fast, reasonably priced, & delicious. The environment was classy and clean. Not to mention the service was impeccable our Server did a phenomenal job at explaining the menu for us!
