Williamsburg is truly blessed to have Chef Hans in our City to open this terrific upscale seafood restaurant. Not in the heart of the historic area, Waypoint is still just a couple of miles from CW and even closer to BG in a shopping center that is anchored by Harris Teeter and has a brick construction. Its atmosphere is elegant, contemporary and open but not in the least bit stuffy. Service is on point, as hostess and server were both friendly and punctual, and the shift manager checked on us to be sure that our experience was pleasant. Ive only been twice for lunch. I need to check out both brunch and dinner, but this is my favorite business lunch spot in Williamsburg by a long shot. Its not the place I go for cheap grub, but the place that I go to for well executed and healthy food in a relaxed and trendy environment. So far Ive had the Turkey BLT (which is made with a fried green tomato) and the Rockfish Rueben. Two of the best sandwiches Ive had in Williamsburg. Youll spend in the $12-$15 range for lunch, but its well worth it.

This restaurant is amazing! We arrived into Williamsburg on a Friday evening after a LONG car ride in pouring rain. We had our three young children with us and Waypoint could not have been more accommodating. Their food is excellent and their service is fantastic. Our waiter was so friendly and could not do enough for us and our kids. The shellfish and grits was one of the best meals Ive ever had and the homemade ice cream sandwich that came with my sons meal was nothing short of spectacular. I would highly recommended this restaurant and I hope we are able to eat there again very soon!

Stopped there on our way out of Colonial Williamsburg since our first couple choices were overpacked. Didnt have a reservation but was able to sit at the bar which worked out great. Penny and Steph provided a great and very friendly experience, even though we were a little under dressed for the location. The Bisque was amazing, the lobster Mac was excellent, just enough cheese, lobster and seasoning to make if flavorful without overdoing it with later flavors.

This was an unexpected stop while we visited historical Williamsburg and Jamestown. We were wanting good seafood and this place exceeded our expectations! We were not well dressed and had our three kids in tow, all under 10, and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. The kids menu was good and only $7.00. We truly cant say enough great things about this amazing restaurant and delightful staff. Bravo, and THANK YOU Waypoint! We hope to come again!

Just went in for a burger, it was a pre-fab burger, not freshly ground, but pre-formed in some meat packing company, so disappointing. The bun wasnt very fresh, and one skimpy piece of cheese, and wilted lettuce and tomato. The fries werent hot, and were soggy and pre-made frozen variety, not impressed. The wine list wasnt great, and the beer selections were not impressive. The only saving grace was the bartender and the friendliness of the staff.

What an amazing place! The hostess was extremely nice, the waiter made great recommendations and the Chef (Kyle) even came out to see how everything was. The calmari was excellent and as my girlfriend said "its so nice to not have it rubbery". We had the Grilled Grouper and the Salmon, both were great and the sides were equally as good. The Sorbet and snickers torte were delicious! Highly recommended for a non tourist trap in williamsburg.

I had their signature soup & steak salad, both were excellent.I saw the steak salad on their website, but it had been removed from the menu.Jody K,my waitress, managed to get the chef to make it for me since all the ingredients were available today. The service was superior.I came back for dinner.I had the signature soup again-it was excellent again.I also had 3 Steamed Oysters & 7 Fried Oysters, these were excellent.I will be returning again.

Traveling through and tried the restaurant for lunch. Overall the wait service was a bit slow, although the food did arrive fairly quickly. Both meals were alright but not exceptional. The fish on the fish and chips plate was delicious but fries were swimming in grease and the little bit of coleslaw on the plate had a musty flavor. Overall for cost vs. quality it was not impressive.

The service is awesome. The food not so much. It was our first visit, we got the fish and chips seeing it was a seafood place ... It was more better than flounder. The menu didnt list that the chips had old bay on it. Probably our last visit. If we do cone back I would get southern chicken sandwich although this is a seafood restaurant

Went here for a late brunch on a Sunday. Great and attentive staff. Ordered the farmers omelet and had a Bloody Mary. Both were delicious. There was also live, jazzy music in the corner that fit the environment perfectly. They were a little close to our table which was the only downside of the experience. Definitely recommend

Really nice place. If you are not a seafood eater like myself and are stuck with a bunch of seafood eaters, dont worry they have you covered. I got the schnitzel and it was great. All of the other seafood eaters enjoyed their meals also. The waiting staff was very professional and courteous. I would absolutely recommend.

Wonderful hidden gem. The food is great, the atmosphere is lovely, and the service is extremely delightful. Thursdays $1.00 oysters and weekend brunch with the Waypoint Benedict (Their version of eggs benedict) will have you coming back weekly.

Definitely will come back here. Skip the NY strip steak, tough as nails. Stick with the seafood. Great attention from staff. Recommend to stop giving specific number of seconds for arrival time of staff or waitress.. its just creepy

Excellant dinner and wonderful creme brulee. We went early at 5 because of 2 young grandchildren. We were next to the door to outside seating and let the kids run in the empty outdoor area while we waited. Very tolerant waitstaff.

Exceptionally fresh seafood. Oysters on half shell were quite goid and fresh. Had the grouper, and sauces and vegetables were to perfection. Highly recommend the resturant. Prices were fair for service and quality of food.

This wonderfully inventive restaurant with a classically trained chef is one of the elite restaurants of Virginia. Every time my wife and I talk about waypoint, we smile and long to be back at Waypoint.

Great food ! Fresh, local ingredients. Good, attentive, but not obtrusive service. Reasonable wine list prices. We come here every time we visit Williamsburg and it has consistently been great.

I love this wonderful place. The service and food is amazing. Whenever I travel I95 I have to stop and have the bisque and shrimp and grits. I wish there was a location in the DC area..
