I used to frequent the original locations many moons ago in Pittsburgh. I always wondered why they never really looked to expand out of that area. Well imagine my surprise while driving up past the Mason-Dixon line this weekend and seeing the bright neon sign from the highway in York, PA. Theyve taken the old tried and true menu and mixed it into a sports-bar type enviroment, complete with an elevated fire pit table that invites you from the parking lot. The venue is clean, bright, with many friendly staff members to guide you through your visit. We both ordered my old time favorite....the pastrami original. Theres really nothing like this tall stacked deli delight. You bite through the fresh, soft italian bread, moist cool with a slight crunch sweet-sour slaw, followed by hot fresh cut fries, melted cheese, and that steaming signature pastrami meat hot off the grill. Just the way I remembered...from over three decades ago. Highly recommend you pull off the highway and grap one of these stacked high sandwiches yourself. Youll be asking yourself the same question I did, "How can something this crazy good be just "almost" famous?" Im hoping these cats look a little further south and invest in the growing Bel Air- White Marsh area north of Baltimore, MD. Until then, theyll be seeing my face in York a little more often now. Oh.... make sure you say hi to Pepper while enjoying your meal!

Youre jagging my wires. Frankly, Im totally blown away by all these negative reviews yins guys are leaving. Im a native Pittsburgher, aka a Yinzer, and have been a Primanti Bros. fan since they were a tiny operation in Da Burgs Dahntahn Strip District. My wife went to school and worked in Picksburg for a number of years and considers herself an adopted native and Primantis person. The first thing our daughter wants to do when we go back to Da Burg for a visit or when she comes home from college is go to Primantis. Shell even run up to State College which is about 45 minutes from her school to satisfy her Primantis fix. So Im sure youll understand my confusion an nat. Yes, the place is crowded, its a great restaurant. But poor service? Bad food? We have been there countless times and have yet to see the wait staff goofing off instead of hustling. We have yet to receive a bad meal. The management has always been courteous. Pittsburgh is a very friendly city and when we come into Primantis we feel like weve stepped into that world. I admit to one small regret, the bread is good but isnt quite as good as the stuff back home. I guess that Monogahela water adds a certain subtlety to the taste. So to all yins guys who are checking these reviews and trying to decide where to eat by all means give The Bros. a shot. Youll feel like a jagoff if you dont. And GO STILLERS!!!!

I went there with three co-workers for lunch, I ordered the Brothers Burger, two of my coworkers got boneless wings and the other got "when pigs fly" sandwich. I ordered this burger because I figured it would have a lot of flavor, being piled high with pastrami, yellow peppers, etc. What I received was enormous (good thing, reason for two stars instead of one) but utterly devoid of any flavor outside of just plain beef. I usually season my own burgers with just salt and pepper, this did not even have that. Even the pastrami lacked any kick. The fries looked as if they had come out of oil that hadnt been changed in a week, very dark brown yet slightly undercooked. Tip: If you decide to eat here, the drippings from the burger, a lot of salt, hot sauce and ketchup all combined will make the fries taste decent. My coworkers who got the wings received half of their orders right, and had to wait for the other half. They had similar experiences with fries. The boneless wings also are very small, no more than two inches long and very thin. (That could have just been this visit, maybe they were scraping the bottom of the bag.) My other coworker who got the sandwich said it was very good, but noted that it is hard to mess up turkey, ham and bacon. Each of our bills was close to $15 I will not be eating here again, and would recommend it to no one.

We went to PB on a Sunday night at 6:30pm for dinner. We waited roughly 20 minutes for a table when there were clearly 2 tables open. We ordered the onion rings and cheese fries with bacon as an appetizer as well as a pitcher of blue moon. the onion rings are very thick and large and the batter was very greasy it made me sick the next day. The fries costs $4.40 and it was in one of those small fry dishes you get at the fair that are red checkered and super small- but instead of being piled like it is at the fair it was barely full and the bacon was barely a teaspoon. We ordered two pitchers of blue moon at $16 each!!! Those pitches were not any larger than anyone you would normally get. Someone with us order the 2nd best burger and he said it was super dry. I ordered the Kielbasa which was very good but I was not a fan of the "coleslaw" which was more like pickled cabbage and pepper because its a vinegar base. Another person got the meatball sub which they said was very good. Overall i was disappointed that our bill for 3 people was over $70. I would go again only for the sandwich and I would do take out.

1 star due to the rude behavior of the Assistant Manager on duty Saturday August 27, 2016 after 5 pm. He came to our table with an attitude and was extremely rude to our brother in-law who had sent his food back because he requested a meal that was special order due food allergies, claims he made the server cry. There was 12 of us nobody even new the food was sent back until the Assistant Manager came to the table and made a scene. When he returned with the food he was still acting like an idiot. Our brother in law asked him to leave the food and walk away he threw the plate on the table. Most unprofessional person I have ever seen. We all work in customer service and that is one manager who would no longer work for us, that would be for sure!!! Other tables were even made uncomfortable by his behavior. My husband and I loved coming here, but we will take our business elsewhere and eat at Primanis in a different location when we find one. it only takes one bad egg to spoil the basket. Your egg is I believe his name was Max? But we didnt get his name from him of course.

I just want to start off by saying that my girlfriend and I are very layed back and easy to please. I very seldom write a review, and usually its only with praise. But this unique/unpleasant experience really needed one. We ordered wings.... My girlfriends wings came out about 15 minutes after everyone elses meals, and when they did come out they were the wrong wings. I also had still not received my wings. Then 10 minutes later I was notified that they were out of wings so I ordered a salad on the house. 5 minutes later someones comes up with a different order of wings which I had not ordered. Then another person came up with a pizza... At this point I was in awe. Anyways I finally received my salad 30 minutes after everyone had finished their meals. Not only did they make us pay for our meal that was about an hour late they screwed up our check and had to add an additional charge. Really dissapointed in this restaurant. I did however enjoy my milkshake. I will not be recommending this place to any of my friends and will not be returning.
