This place is so good that my boyfriend and I eat here literally every week. Theres just so much flavor and deliciousness in every bowl of ramen. Plus the staff is fantastic and very personable. No matter how busy they may be, were always greeted with a smile and exceptional service. Even the chefs are friendly! Could not recommend this place more. If youre looking for an authentic, tasty bowl of ramen this is place for you! They also make their own gyoza and its always juicy and just so much yumm! You really cant go wrong with anything on the menu.

It wasnt awful. It also wasnt great. The service was great. The young lad was the only one there, and he was going phenomenally with the 5 or 6 tables he had. Its just no where near as good as Ichran Ramen on Hoggard in Norfolk. Ichran is 10+ stars. Kappo Kara isnt bad, its just very... Lackluster, And a bit disapointing after having Ichran. Ill come back when Im in the area, but most likely sticking to Ichran.

Spicy ramen bowl recommended was very tasty.... Perfect on a rainy day. the fried squid however, was way over cooked... But the service more than made up for it!!! I thought it was a little pricey for "ramen" but this isnt a "trade your MRE for a bowl of soup and a Coke". This Ramen is well worth the price and I will be coming back whenever I come through the area.

The staff is the best thing about the restaurant. There is a family feeling there when you go so that you feel like an old friend. The portions of the meals are huge. There arent the noodles you get in the grocery store; they are the real deal. Even if you havent tried authentic oriental food, you should try Kappa Nara. They will make you a fan

We come here all the time. We drove half an hour, apparently the closing time online is incorrect. We walked in one minute past closing time and the waitress, who by the way, has waited on us plenty of times before, wouldnt seat us. DAMN! What an awful experience. What an awful way to treat loyal customers. Breaks my heart cause I love ramen.

The food is great. Ive had a great deal on the menu already and I really enjoyed it. Its subtle almost homey atmosphere is pretty great, but also each time I have been there I received very good customer service. I enjoyed my time and I think you will to... you should check it out. Try the Pho or the grilled squid.

I LOVE Kappo Nara. All the appetizers Ive tried are wonderful (yakitori is my favorite, chashu bao and gyoza as well) Staff is great. And their miso ramen is so fantastic. Wish they were open on sundays as Sundays always seem to be the day I crave ramen the most :P definitely recommend Kappo Nara.

Great place. I paid about $15 overall for a large bowl of Spicy Miso Pork Ramen and a drink. The customer service was excellent. I was there around 4pm, place was nearly empty. It is tucked away in a small strip mall around the corner from Kempsville Kroger. I will return.

Good flavored broth and lots of additions to customize your bowl of ramen! Friendly service. I was a little disappointed by the canned rather than fresh bamboo but pretty much everything else was great. Portion size was just enough for one person. Would recommend.

Excellent ramen and appetizers. The pork meso ramen is the best I have had outside of Japan. This place is very popular with locals so get there early because it is a small place and fills up quickly.
