Came here on a Friday night with 2 people right before closing time (strict 11:30pm last order). The restaurant itself is very nice. Simple/minimal but classy modern design, laid back but still manages to capture traditional japan vibe. The service was fantastic, the food was ready very quickly (by virtue of being a ramen restaurant). The staff was friendly, and they know what theyre doing and do it well (we had the ramen explained to us in great detail). We had the pork gyoza, shoyu, and curry ramen bowls. The gyoza were delicious; crispy, juicy, pork-y goodness. The shoyu ramen is apparently the most classic ramen in Tokyo, with chashu pork. The broth is light but flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked, not the least bit soggy. The pork was rich and fatty and delicious. The curry was a bit more rich with thicker and more spiced broth and finely chopped beef. This was also delicious. Really loved this curry used. It was great to try two bowls of ramen and see how vastly they can differ but still be delicious in their own ways. The portions are very generous. My only regret is not trying the Tan Tan ramen (especially since we were 3...) The ramen is between $10-$13 with tip included. Definitely a bargain, love that gratuity is included, and I hope to see this trend pick up more in the US. I look forward to coming back to Baltimore and trying out the Tan Tan (and more menu items). Thank you for a great dinner!

Job extremely well done by its owner and staff. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough to the Baltimore community and passersby. Where do I begin... 1.) PekoPekos Shoyu bowl is the new gold standard for Ramen dishes, to which I will now compare every future noodle bowl 2.) Gyoza as an appetizer and dessert will earn this restaurant its first Michelin star 3.) The sumptuous pork belly is outdone only by the exquisite playlist selection (Mr. Brightside + Chashu = Bliss) 4.) Rich flavor and depth to the vegetarian (Miso) broth - hit my palette in all the right places 5.) Meticulous attention paid to most minuscule of details, from the juxtaposition of salts in the Edamame dish to the cold plate on which the Mochi were presented 6.) Attentive and charismatic staff, along with the luscious soft-boiled eggs, had me planning my next visit before the meal ended Cant wait to go back again and share my new favorite Ramen shop with more friends!

Im so shocked at these reviews! Well let me start with the positive- staff super nice and amazing customer service and that includes both the greeter and kitchen staff. (Thats why I added another star). The food is terrible! I got the curry which Didnt taste like curry at all its literally just grease. Its like they cooked ground beef in oil and didnt drain any of it and plopped it in some broth, threw in some noodles and sprouts and called it a day. I honestly cant even eat it and if I wasnt already bundled up home and tired I would have returned it. My coworker said hers was really greasy when she ate there last week as well so its not just mine. Maybe its just their style but to me its awful and tasted just like grease and noodles.

Food alone is worth the somewhat confusing setup they have. First, you sign in to wait for your table. We waited about 30mins. Then, before you sit, you order with the hostess. The menu is small, so this was easy. Next, you are seated. Unless your are with a group of 4+, you may be seated at a communal table. This was fine for me as I was with my wife and we just sat across from each other. But other single patrons came in and were sat with other single patrons. Could be very awkward in some cases. Well definitely be back, but will try to go for early dinner and hopefully miss the lines. Suggestion to the restaurant: Put instruction up for the process right inside the front door. Would help a lot!

Good Staff service. The menu is small which fits the venue cause its not a big place. They dont have pork broth but I would recommend the TanTan and subbing the beef for the Pork Chashu or the Miso Ramen. I would recommend the place for a quick sit down meal. Also they dont take cash and you pay before getting the meal. But overall a great place and I would definitely eat there again. Lastly if you want something to be more spicy ask for it, they are very friendly and will work to accommodate you.

Every time I have eaten here it has been massively disappointing. The food and flavor have so much potential but fall short every time. I ordered a spicy ramen dish and it was so mild with absolutely no hint of spice or chili. There was also only a couple tablespoons of broth. Both servers checked on the only other 2 people in the restaurant twice and never checked on me. I hope they can step it up soon or they will flop hard.

Awesome food and atmosphere. The ramen dishes are filling and hearty. My favorite combination is the shoyu ramen, cucumber salad, and M2 drink (sort of tastes like Thai iced tea). Its clear when you sit and eat that extra attention was paid not just to the quality of food, but to the decor, which is trendy and modern, with clean lines. I love that its BYOB and open late. Ill be back soon.

Theres a new bird in town! The ramen is great and the staff are super friendly. If you sit at the bar you can talk to the people in the kitchen. The space is well designed for a quick bite to eat. Also - the best part: Theyre BYO. The sake glasses are mini beakers but you should bring your own cooler too if you plan on having a few.

Was told to have a seat while waiting for food, then told that we have to move because people needed to eat where we were told we could sit. Then, I looked around abd my partner and I were the only black people in the restaurant. Then I realized why we were asked to move. The good was mediocre

Easily the best ramen in Baltimore. The chicken based broth is lighter than most bowls but still packs a ton of flavor. The apps are good too - the gyoza is everything it should be, the cucumber salad was great as well. If youre in the Charles Village area, for sure check this place out.

So good, Ive enjoyed the Ramen even though my girlfriend says she has had better thus the 4 stars. Definitely worth a look, the owner is very nice and youll see him on the floor helping out without any hesitation. Plus the white cream soda there is so good.

Clean and bright interior, but I felt the food was not as good as what I expected. The broth was bitter and the price was high for what I believe is just average ingredient quality. The staff were polite and courteous. M2 drink was interesting and tasty.

Great ramen. Love the ground beef option. Super yummy. Great dumplings too. My only complaint is that all they have to drink is warm tap water and some very strange looking Asian cream soda which sounds gross. Wheres my coca cola at, homies?!

Great food and atmosphere - the ramen was delicious and the noodles were so fresh. I ordered the miso ramen and added pork, what a combination! I would also highly recommend the M2, an almond milk matcha drink, which was unusual but so good.
