Ive now eaten here three times and have been incredibly impressed with both the selection and service that this restaurant offered. As a new vegetarian in the city, I had been previously disappointed by the lack of good ramen made especially for vegetarians (most places have only one option for vegetarian and just unceremoniously dump vegetables atop ill-made noodles). Ramen Misoya was a pleasant surprise with special-made seaweed broth and homemade tofu for dishes and a vast selection that included all the dishes normally served but with vegetable broth. I know that some viewers may think I had a different experience as a vegetarian but the three people Ive brought here have all had the same experience and its gotten rave reviews from friends. So I urge you to skip the long lines and expensive options at other well-known restaurants and head over to Ramen Misoya. Its a steal of a deal and its some of the best ramen you can get in the city!

I am freaking addicted to this place. The miso soup base is so freaking awesome I cant get enough. The noodles just sit on your lips and are so slurpable. Right now theyre doing a special promotion of giving you half an egg for free along with your ramen.. The price of the bowl isnt that expensive either -- please do us all a favor and skip those overhyped ramen places and come here! Everything just simply works out so well. To compare to my other favorite place, Minca -- the pork definitely up to par, but the soup is delicious. Im not sure why a lot of people complain about the staff not being attentive. I only know they dont really refill your water unless you ask. They seem like nice people..? hah! Will definitely come time and time again.

This is a pleasant ramen place. The food is delicious and the ambience is warms you up almost as much as the food. I found the broth to be flavorful, the noodles to be perfectly cooked, and IIRC the meat to be the most lackluster thing in the bowl, which was a little more scant than I liked. I remember that there was a wait but not too long, because we went at an odd hour. It seems like a place where you might have to wait a long time if you went at the wrong time. 5 stars = I would come back alone or often 4 stars = I would come back 3 stars = I would come back unwillingly/if someone else wanted me to; Id try another option first 2 stars = I would not come back even if someone else wanted me to 1 star = Why?

You choose from 3 basic miso ramen bowls, and add on any other ingredients as desired. Simple, straight forward menu. Food: - Tokyo miso soup with Char shu and tofu - Two fried tofu fried in rice flour, 3 char shu with alternating meat and fatty layer, nice cooked; also included cabbage, bean sprout, bamboo, scallion, ground pork; Very filling and hearty - Chicken katsu is good (comes with the curry ramen); curry flavor is pretty good too. They have a nice, very filling $10 Lunch special - a simple ramen with a side (dumpling+rice, karaage+rice, or fried rice) And of course, they have an add-on menu if you want to add cha-shu or other item to the ramen.

Came here on a wednesday night at around 6pm and there was plenty of seating. Service was friendly and attentive. I had the cha su kome ramen, the portion was awesome and had all sorts of goodies in the soup: scallions, bean sprouts, pork bits, 2 fried potato wedges, corn kernals, half a soft boiled egg and the cha su. The cha su was definitely the star of the dish (thank you yelp for the free piece check in offer :D). The broth was amazing at first but I quickly realized how salty it was when my tongue numbed out lol. It got so bad that I actually added water to my soup to finish it. Bottom line: For $14 a bowl I would expect better :/

The kome miso cha-shu ramen is friggin amazing. The extra noodle system is also just $1.50 but I didnt even need it with how much food they gave. Lots of soup, lots of noodle, perfectly seared pork belly. They also have a menu with alcoholic beverages available, a lunch special menu, and limited seasonal ramen available as well. The noodles are of the wavy texture that most people expect and are slightly thicker than the variety Ippudo uses, making this my favorite ramen place in the city so far. Beats out every other ramen place in NYC so far in terms of amounts of food, soup, and quickness in serving.

If you know the neighborhood, theres no shortage of ramen places on Saint Marks and all over 1st Ave and Ave A. This is currently my favorite. They have two styles of ramen that differ in the type of broth you have. You can have the thicker, creamier broth, which I prefer, or the miso style broth. The ingredients are fresh and excellent and the price is very reasonable. If this matters to you, many real Japanese people eat here and when Im there I always here Japanese being spoken by them, whom I presume to be expats who miss authentic Japanese ramen.

Misoya is my favorite ramen place in the city. I go here for lunch once a week and get the Mame Miso Ramen with Karaage. Its super filling, delicious, and always seems to leave me with a smile on my face. Theres not a ton of room to sit in there, and it can be a struggle to get a seat if youre shooting for dinnertime on a Thursday. Getting a seat at lunchtime is often less of a problem unless its cold out. People seem to flock there to warm up in colder months. I could be projecting or imagining, of course.

I didnt know they have different kind of miso for options. I like how they keep concept as MISO ramen. Not Tonkotsu. Most of ramen place is following trend but I like they are very socialize for miso ramen! It was... WOW! thickest and juiciest Chasyu I ever had. So many veges which I LOVE!! Noodles was just right. Only downside would be little salty. But hey its Miso ramen. What do you expect? It was beyond my expectations. Forgot the price but it was good price with the volume. I definitely come back.

Nothing Ive ever eaten had tasted as good. Ill travel back to New York just for this. The potatoes werent soggy from sitting in the broth. The boiled eggs were cooked perfectly. The pork, oh the pork was cooked so that even the fat on it tasted delicious. How do you even do that?! The corn wasnt too sweet so that it takes away the flavor from the broth. And the bamboo wasnt too big, like most ramen shops have them. The staff were busy but never so much that they didnt notice when my water was empty.

Another ramen place that is not as good as Ippudo! My parents came up to visit and we meant to go to Ippudo but the wait was way too long, so we ran around in the ran and jumped into this place. Should have looked at the name more carefully (my dad is allergic to soy), but we ended up staying. The ramen wasnt bad but it was just packed with too much stuff, and only a tiny amount of broth. I think ill just stick to Ippudo for my ramen, or head out to Mitsuwa market in new jersey.
