Horrible service for mediocre food. Went there tonight for date night, thought wed try a new Mexican place. We were sat at a booth, it took our waiter 10 minutes to bring us chips and salsa and then he walked away. 5 minutes later he comes back and gets drink orders, and then walks away before I can ask him for queso dip. He brings the drinks, the tea was stale and tasted like dish soap. We ordered our meal. He brings the queso out but fails to refill my water. We only got refills once the whole meal and it was when we were 3/4 done with our meal. The food was okay, nothing special. Our waiter seemed to be more focused on a table near us that seemed to be regulars than paying any attention to our table. When it came time for the bill, we waited for 15 minutes and were clearly done eating, before I asked another waiter if we could get our check. We will not be going back here, or suggesting it to anyone. They need better service.

Called in a pick up order @ 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon employee that took my order said it would be ready in 10 minutes when I called back for directions he said the order was already ready so thats 6 minutes. Good portions... two dinner entrees and a couple of side dips was 35 bucks but we have easily lunch AND dinner covered. Fresh fried tortilla chips to replace your fork. The chimichanga is much softer and kind of "smothered" but the flautas were crisp and the steak was plentiful. Tijuana Flats is worth the drive though wish there was still one at Hilltop

Well... I wanted to look up the menu, order and come pick it up. Tip and all BUT, only one problem. THEY DONT HAVE A MENU ONLINE!!! and when you look them up there is no website, barely a social media presence and an all around lack of any online access for their audience. Great food and always good service but uh... its 2015 gentlemen, you need to get on board and the ONLY reason youre not getting my business tonight is because I couldnt find a menu and therefore couldnt order. Not about to call you up and have you read it to me over the phone....

I must say our twins were 3yrs old today and weve been coming here since they were 6 weeks old. Its like family here. We go at least 2 times a week. We have twins boy and girl. I tell all our friends, they hug the employees, play and are treated better than some of my own real family. If you have kids this should be voted the most kid friendly place at the oceanfront! Thank you so much for being apart of our family. I kids beg to go here after daycare everyday and would if we said yes! Shannon

Choice of 2 lunch with (ground beef) burrito. Tasteless. Chicken enchilada. Tasteless. Almost no cheese. "Sauces" basically tomato sauce. No sour cream. No guacamole. No hot sauce at the table to add some taste. Just worthless. I refused to pay for it and after 20 years of searching for decent mexican food here until I find it somewhere not paying for it anymore. Also, nobody ever asked me what was wrong, so now they know.

The Best! Period. You eat there and realize its the only good (amazing) Mexican food in Virginia Beach. We first ate there on Cinco de Mayo. Of course it was packed, but we were seated right away.Incredibly our food came out quickly and was delicious. We have returned since then and we love it. The food is imaginative and delicious, and the service is fast and friendly.

Horrible experience. The waiter, Mario, lied to us about happy hour. We got there at 3:50...happy hour is from 4 to 7pm...by the time we left it was 4:56...he CLEARLY said we can have happy hour prices. He needs to be fired..also the drinks were HORRIBLE...im so upset and I feel that the place is highly overpriced due to the service.They add 18% gratuity as well.

My Husband and I went here one day after church on Sunday....and I must say it is the best Mexican food we have had in a long time. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and our food came out relatively quickly and very fresh and delicious! I would give them 10 stars if I could! !

Ive been coming to this place weekly since it opened at Hilltop, so maybe Im biased, but the food is great (the Fajitas are just awesome) and the service has always been stellar. I recommend this to anyone interested in Mexican food in Virginia Beach.

Every time we have dined at the Hilltop location, we have experienced outstanding Mexican cuisine, almost gourmet quality, with prompt and very courteous service. Prices are reasonable and the margaritas are tasty.

If I were to eat it with my eyes closed I would guess Chef Boyardee. The margaritas tasted similar to a scratch and sniff sticker with no tequila. Next time Ill just wait for Plaza to have a table open.

The prices are WAY too high for the quality of food. In all the locations, I have never had good service. There are other great mexican places in Hampton Roads...dont waste your money here.

Get the Margarita on the rocks but youll need a designated driver. Carnitas and friends. But you gotta go to the VA Beach Blvd location, the other ones arent as good as the original

No Bueno!!! Service sucked. We waited 30 minutes for more salsa and chips. One dish was under cooked. I ate here once before and it was so so. Gave it a 2nd chance, wont be back.
