Never again will you find me in this restraunt to eat. Today was the worst experience ever, here goes. As a friend and I decided to have brunch at the Chambersburg Diner on 6-27-2017 @ 1pm, we requested to sit in the middle area ( booth) . A waitress name Laura had approached us asking to take our order for drinks first then came back to take our complete order. As I let Her know that I am hungry and need to eat so I hurried up and ordered a rodeo burger deluxe, mountain dew, and a cup of water with lemons. My friend I were having a conversation as we waited for our meals when weve witnessed whom we thought was a waitress pinch a bust boy on the butt near the restroom area as she walked pass. So at this point Laura our waitress was serving our order we began to eat when my friend requested mayo for her fish sandwich but no mayo served, another waitress had notice me trying to get Lauras attention and took it upon herself to service us with that situation. About 10 minutes into eating Laura approached and asked is everything okay we replied yes, cause at that point we were. Then she went to the back and got a broom with a dust pan and started to sweep all in the area where NOT JUST I WAS EATING BUT AN ELDERLY COUPLE AS WELL and simply didnt acknowledge that we as people (customers) are still eating and you are seriously going to create dust all in this area? So I lost my appetite , then Laura comes with Bill and states if theres anything else youd like just let me know. I asked to speak to a manager do to the entire situation. Assistant Jen comes to the table asks whats seems to be the problem? So I explained and all this manager can say I apologize maam but all I can do is take half off your bill since you ate half the meal. Omg! Was I heated at this point, a manager to not understand the situation as a customer I came in to eat an entire meal not half of a meal but do to lack of training I guess or maybe the waitress just didnt have common sense that as CUSTOMERS are eating YOU DO NOT SWEEP IN THAT AREA TILL IT IS CLEARED. As we checked out I stated to Jen the assistant manager that the waitress shouldnt be pinching the bust boy on the butt it is inappropriate as well as unprofessional. Mind you the person I was truly stating was the manager herself was the person weve witnessed pinched that bust boy on the butt. How crazy is that the she has the nerve to question me if I know deeanna whom is the MANAGER, SINCE IVE TOLD HER THAT I COME THERE A LOT AND AM TRULY A REGULAR. BUT I BELIVE SHE THINKS IM LYING.

I would say this diner is best for breakfast. That is typically what I prefer to get here. The other food isnt necessarily bad, but its not exciting. Home fries are excellent here, and the bacon is amazing. Eggs are always cooked to order. Coffee is also very good, never bitter and not too weak. Excellent. Service was almost always above excellent. Only once and awhile was is just average. Never bad service. Its been awhile since I was there, but for several months I went once a week. They got to know us, which was fun! The dining area has ample space and seating, and the service is quick. One bad thing is the dessert case may look good, but it often has old, stale desserts. We stopped getting anything out of it, waste of time. Not sure when they get fresh stuff in it, but not often enough.

Ok we walk in look at the board of the specials at the entrance stood there for five mins while two waitresses were just at the register standing around talking looked at us nd kept talking another waitress noticed we werent being seated nd saw them talking she walked us to the tables nd she apologized for their rudeness of not caring nd talking . but our waitress was so sweet but im very upset how we got treated when we left no one said anything to us just gave us our money we said thank u nd god bless u and totally got ignored im very upset about this i love eating there nd the way we got treated was unacceptable . and i feel the waitresses should b spoken to how to treat the customers nd learn respect this was unacceptable.

Seated fast, ordered food and came in minutes, ordered plain chicken wings the first order hot sauce was poured over them and they made a new batch and brought out and took a bite and they were still froze on the inside. Finally the 3rd batch came out and they were put in a to go box and we tossed them out for the critters. There was no reduction in the bill. The rest of the meal was ok. Dont foresee stopping back there as we were told the cooks cannot speak English and the waitresses have a very difficult time trying to communicate with the cooks. This could be a good place but something would need done with the language barriers. Waitress was upset and very opologitic.

The atmosphere is very classy, a diner feel with a more modern appearance. The food was a good price for the amount of food i received, and the scrapple was the best Ive ever had! The restrooms are clean and orderly and look up to date. Our waitress was a younger lady who was able to break the traditional waitress role and become a little more casual to match our laid-back and silly demeanor during our visit, which we really enjoyed.. If i had to pick the WORST thing about this place? My eggs came over easy and i ordered them over medium.. Yeah, our visit was that enjoyable. I look forward to returning on future visits through Chambersburg!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. It is very rude to make customers wait because you dont have anymore small tables. We waited and other groups who came in after us were seated first because we were only 2 people to their 7. So they literally make you wait for a small table. I understand that they are trying to fill up all available seats but it should be first come first to be seated even if it means its a table for 6 . This is the second time we tried this restaurant and the second bad experience. First time we got seated and waited over an hour for food that never came.

This is probably one of the worst dining experiences because of their customer service when I told them we were not satisfied with our food. We both ordered the hot roast beef sandwich with gravy that was so seasoned with pepper that it made our mouths burn. We also ordered the macaroni and cheese for my granddaughter and she also could not eat it...made with pepper jack cheese-not mentioned on the menu nor by our server. The manager on duty that day insisted that their gravy is mild and continued to argue with me!!! Whatever happened to "Customer Service"??Will not be going back
