Driving through from DC to Atlanta, we pulled off for some lunch and so glad we did!! Everything we got was seriously amazing. Each item was better than the last. Even the kids ate all of their food!! So of course, we gave them some amazing peanut butter pie. The chicken was moist, and didnt even need the sauce. But the sauce - Oh the sauce - 3 types to choose from. My favorite was the vinegar, husband liked the sweet. The mac and cheese was out of this world. Had a bit of a bite to it, and the kids loved it. The green beans were cooked perfectly, crisp, and lightly seasoned. They had greens without pork in them, and I didnt have to add anything to them, they were perfectly spicy. My husband had the tacos and said they were really good. The staff was so kind and friendly and really went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The decor was really cool too! These 2 Texans give Deep Run Roadhouse 2 Texas sized thumbs up!!!

Deep Run Roadhouse has The Best BBQ in Richmond City. Hands down. They get it. The range of different options on the menu is impressive and the fact that each item is specifically described is appreciated - very user friendly menu Delivered in less time then they had estimated Everything looked and smelled like it had come straight out of the kitchen -which is no easy feat when delivery is involved Portion size was on point The flavor profile of everything I had was of such quality; and the skill level to create such delicious dishes is admirable.

When I stopped eating meat I assumed it was going to be a long time before I stopped at a bbq place, but my friends eat here all the time so I thought Id check it out. The fried catfish is some of the best fried fish Ive ever had and there was more of it than I expected. The potato wedges are crispy and delicious and the cornbread is similarly high quality. If even a few of their other things are as good as the fish, its definitely worth checking out.

This was my first time here. I have passed it so many times when I go to Qdoba or Noodles & Company so I decided to stop in on my lunch. I ordered the 2 meat platter with fried catfish and brisket w/ potato wedges & cowboy beans and a drink. With my VCU discount (10%) it was about $17. Also do NOT park in the Bookholders parking lot as they will tow. The guy at the counter was kind enough to bring my food to the car.

Came in Saturday after the VCU Game. Wife and I split the BBQ Cheese wedges, She got the Fish Tacos and I had a Brisket Sandwich. Wedges were on point. Super Cheesy, just the thing we needed to soak up all the alcohol we drank at the game. Wife loved the tacos, got the fried catfish. They were bigger than expected. Brisket Sandwich... I just found the best brisket in VA. Ill be back, daily.

Im still amazed when I talk to people who havent been to Deep Run! I come here roughly once every two weeks and typically get the Trainwreck burrito and my God its the best burrito Ive ever had. The staff here are so kind--some even know me by name now haha. The catfish here is amazing, as well as the nachos and the rope sausage. Theres not a restaurant in Richmond that I would recommend more!

I ate here for the second time on Sunday 02/28/2016. I ordered the pork w/ slaw, Texas caviar, and jalapeño Mac &cheese. I began to believe they were better than Alamos BBQ until I received FOOD POSION from poorly prepared meat. I will no longer eat here again. Watch what you order and how it is prepared .

Delicious food, friendly staff, and quick service. Just stopped in halfway through a 14 hour road trip, and so glad we did! Catfish was cooked perfectly, the pulled pork was incredible, and he sides were great, too.

The Texas Choke Hold, Best Thing on a bun in Richmond. Fantastic food, great service and a menu with a unique twist on classic BBQ fare. The Texas Caviar was a really nice side option. Highly recommended.
