While I like their BBQ, I have a complaint. One of their most popular items, the potato salad, is often sold out by 1pm or even earlier. This happens all the time! The usual response is that they dont want to turn on the oven. As a business, I think this is poor customer service. I would understand if it was near closing time, but it has happened as early as 11:45am! Seriously!? Today was approximately the 6th time in the last few month that they are out when I go (and I dont go there much anymore bc of this). Now, I just leave without ordering and take my business elsewhere. This may seem like a small issues, but why have something on the menu if you dont make enough?

My wife and I went to grab a quick carry-out dinner but unfortunately, this place didnt hold up to the hype. We have eaten here twice and the second time will be the last. First, the customer service was unhelpful and not welcoming, as a small town diner should be the opposite. Lastly, the cook seemed to be in a hurry for no reason, in turn, making our food taste horrible. The cashier asked what sauce we would like on our sandwiches but once we arrived home anticipating a great dinner, our sandwiches did not have any sauce on them at all. In addition, the buns were soggy and the meat tasted as if it had sat out all day. I would not waste your money.

My wife and I had a wedding for our daughter on May 14. 2016 the delivery didnt show up until about 3 hours late not a good experience at all. The owner of the company didnt even bring anything to drink and also left out part of the meal I personally wouldnt ever recommend them to anyone we also had people left without anything to eat or drink not happy.I have never had to give a rating such as this and hope I never have to again.

So, in always giving the small eateries a try, sometimes its just this. Asked how they cooked ribs, the reply was microwave. Huh? Ive had a better pulled beef sandwich from Farm Fresh.... straight out of the tub... cold. Whoever reviewed tits before me probably owns the place, hope I dont get sick

Incredible barbecue meal!! Reasonably priced combo option is a great deal! Large sandwich packed with delicious and tender meat, two sides and a drink! All sides were tasty, especially hush puppies and mac and cheese! My only complaint is that its not closer to home!! Thanks for a great meal!

Its mostly a carryout, but they do have a small eating area, and had high chairs. The pork was amazing and the Virginia sauce was sweet and delicious, and the price was great too. I highly recommend this place to get a quick eat, Im glad we choose to go there.

New to ashland. Found a good bbq spot only to find out it would be my first and last time having it. Sad they are closing the way they are. My sandwich was pretty darn good . I would have been a return customer .

Fantastic experience. The owner, John is there every day and he is super friendly. The Virginia style BBQ (with slaw of course) is KILLER. Coming back here every time I come through Ashland in the future!

Great BBQ, choice of vinegary North Carolina style or tomato-y Virginia style. Served quickly and without fuss. Good sides - hush puppies, cornbread, green beans (soft-cooked) are the ones we usually get.

Excellent Carolina Barbeque.The Cole Slaw & Fried Okra were very good,but I didn"t care for the Baked Beans.The Baked Beans tasted like modified Pork & Beans.Excellent Service & Prices.
