Had a half way decent breakfast this morning, marred only by the considerable hair in my omelet...which the waitress acknowledged, but didnt do anything more than replace my fork. When I went to pay, and said "this is where you are supposed to ask me if I enjoyed my meal," at which point the cash register girl asked me how I enjoyed my meal, to which I responded, "fine except for the hair in my omelet," to which she said "OK," and promptly comped two cents on my $20.02 bill. Which is why I am writing this review. Its that kind of restaurant.

We thought that we were going to be eating at a family owned, friendly restaurant. Boy, were we wrong. The staff were rude and acted like they were aggravated that we were there. We will be moving to the area soon, so I wanted to give a locally owned place my business. I will never go back. The patty melt was decent, but the fries were soggy. The bill was outrageous. The place is not very clean. Not sure how they stay in business. Purcellville is such a charming town. Those people were the most unwelcoming crew Ive ever seen.

The staff leaves you to figure out for yourself that youre to seat yourself & that they arent going to bring you a check at the end, although our waitress was otherwise very pleasant. Had the French toast (w-a-y too much cinnamon cooked into a crust on each piece, my mouth actually burned from it!) & a berry shake that was delicious. Prices were kinda high for diner food.. for my food plus my friends pancakes & shake, I spent around $35!

The service is TERRIBLE. They act like they dont want you there and its a chore to serve you. We are basically forced to come here every Saturday morning because nothing else is open this early and we expect it to get better each time and it doesnt. The food is also pretty terrible. With such a nice small town atmosphere youd think the people inside here would be friendly. Definitely do not recommend.

This is a diner run the same way for years, so it is steeped in tradition. Despite how busy the place is, service is good and the coffee stays hot. Dont look for healthy or more new style items, youll be disappointed. If you want eggs, bacon, coffee, flapjacks done right, youll be very happy. Be sure to try the sausage patties, bright sage flavor.

One of the worse breakfasts Ive had a long time. Ham and cheese omelette was a slice of a single slice cheese with a slice of ham on top of scrambled eggs. It was disgusting. Coffee must have been fresh as it tasted burned. I was really looking for a good family cooked breakfast. This was not the place.

We have gone a few times here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have to say the price is right, small family feel but every once in awhile the waitress isnt the happiest. Food is good though and we enjoy going when its open.

The best if you want a mom and pop styled diner to wake up in. Complete with newspaper reading gentlemen, and the distant sound of passing cars. This cozy place will make you feel as though youre eating moms pancakes.

Okay, you must understand that the sausage gravy here is about the best in the world. Their entire breakfast menu is heavenly. The sausage patties and gravy are made in house.
