First I would like to mention that this place got 2 stars purely because of the staff. The hostess and waiter were polite, but thats about it. Saying that the beer was ok is an over statement. They were flavorless and flat. The oatmeal stout kind of looked like pond water. I wouldnt even sell it. I know amateur home brewers that can create better brews with extract kits. The food was even worse. Way over priced for what you get and what it tastes like. My wife and I started with the deviled eggs, which were the best part of the meal, and a cup of their potato soup. The soup was just a bowl of salty goup, nothing less nothing more. It didnt even have chunks of potato in it. My wife got a cheeseburger, which they somehow managed to only cook half the patty. Half was medium and half was raw. Dont know how they pulled that off, but they did. I got the crab cake special which was described to me as being 95% crab and not that much filler. When I got the plate I was stunned. Not because it looked great, but because I cant believe any self respecting cook would put out anything like that. The potatoes were soggy cold and way over salted, the veggies were meh at best, and the crab cakes...the crab cakes were not as crab cakes at all. It was all just filler with a few chunks of crab in it that were really tough, and they were tiny. The worst part is what they charged for them, 30 freaking dollars. I dont mind paying that, but I better actually get some damn crab with the crab cakes. Everything with that place was mediocre at best. And Im really struggling to say that. Needless to say that my wife and I will never go there again. Im not one to tell others to not try it out, but just dont go in with high hopes or expecting a good meal or beer. Try it out and form your own opinion.

My wife, son and I went to Dog Money because of a recommendation of a friend. The greeter was very polite and took us to our table. The restaurant was basically empty. Our waiter, Gregory was very friendly and always eager to please. Thats it. The beer was only okey. The food was not that great. My wife got the fish and chips. She had to drench the fish with vinegar to add flavor to eat it. I had the cheese burger which was way too expensive for what it was and how it tasted. We got our 3 year old son the chicken because it is his favorite. He did not eat much. When I tried it, I dont blame him. Dry and flavorless. Luckily he had fries. My wife ordered the chocolate cake. She did not eat more than 4 bites because she did not like it. I was surprised because she loves Chocolate. I had one bite and agreed with her. Ive had better cake from Costco. We told our waiter we did not like it but he still charged us for it. Dog Money was the biggest waste of my money at a restaurant in a long time. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. The only reason I give 2 out of 5 stars instead of 1 is because the pretzels were amazing!

Worst service and food Ive had at a Leesburg Restaurant. The restaurant only had about 6 tables with customers. After being seated the server made an appearance, read the specials, brought our meal and then was missing in action. The deviled eggs starter was flavorless. The burger ordered medium was almost raw. The bratwurst which according to the menu was made by a "Loudoun County legend" was the most scrawny, flavorless, pathetic piece of meat, Ive ever been served. The sauerkraut on the bratwurst had no flavor at all. The French fries were dried out twigs. The server was nowhere to be found so I had to go into the kitchen to find someone (manager) for resolution of the almost raw burger. There was no charge for the burger. The server finally made an appearance with the check. I was surprised she didnt ask us if we wanted desert. What server doesnt ask?! Not that we would order anything else.

Great local spot for beer and food with pretty nice Happy Hour specials. Most of the beers are true to style and well executed. This is not the brewery if you are looking for something like a "Cucumber Cream Ale." However, if you can appreciate mostly easy to drink classic ales with an IPA or stout thrown in (along with the occasional barleywine or dopplebock) you wont be disappointed. Wine and cocktails are also available but beer is the main focus. The menu isnt overly large or exciting, but everything is well executed and there are usually good specials that can offer something interesting and different. They have some of the best fish & chips in the area and the reuben is very good as well. There is plenty of seating at the bar, in the restaurant and/or on the patio. When it gets busier there is a nice buzz but it never gets too loud for a conversation or to hear yourself think.

Stay away from the nachos We werent too hungry so my wife had wine and I had the flight (more on that in a bit) We ordered the nachos. The top layer is great. The remaining 90% of the nachos were just chips. Wheres the beans and cheese and other condiments? So if it is 90% chips, it would be nice if they served a bunch of salsa. Basically we were stuck w/ a bunch of plain chips The beer flight was good sized but the first 4 beers tasted like bitter lagers. The stout and barleywine were decent. Our son got a childrens burger. The burger was like a hockey puck but the fries were tasty. Id go back but would get something else

We had a great time. Service was excellent; really friendly and attentive (it was a Sunday at noon so not many people there). The beer was well made and a good variety. To be honest, I was disappointed in the triple; it had kind of a weird lemony flavor that just didnt do it for me. The IPA, Hefeweizen, and Porter were really solid. The lager really surprised me. It was good. I dont usually like lagers because I think they taste flat and boring, but this one had lots of flavor and depth. Our food was all really good. We really enjoyed everything and will be back for more.

Got a flight of beer, it was all flat. Even if it wasnt, the beer styles brought nothing new to craft brewing. All typical styles with safe tastes. Food was ok, but my burger, for charging an extra dollar to call itself a Gouda Burger, had barely any gouda on it and it was pretty severely undercooked for what I ordered. I asked for Medium and what was delivered was near raw. Family of 5 paid $117 without tip for average food at best. I most likely wont be back.

This place is a fantastic find, especially if you enjoy delicious homemade brews. It recently opened its doors so the staff seemed anxious to please and the food was delicious. I recommend the deviled eggs and the burger, but everyone at our table was pleased with their choices whether it was a salad, fish & chips or the ribeye. Well definitely be coming back to enjoy this place and refill the growler.
