I was born and raised in Western New York and the Buffalo area, and let me tell you this place is right on par with any of the big name wing restaurants whether it be Duffs, Bar Bill, or Anchor Bar (for those of you that dont know, home of the original Buffalo wing). The Dirty Buffalo would make any WNY native proud! First off, the wings are fantastic! Priced good and easily the best wings in Hampton Roads. Theyre smothered in a smooth almost silky sauce that is absolutely mouth watering and are nice and full of meat with just the right crisp to them. I would highly recommend the wings, and if you go on Wednesday you can get all you can eat for around $14, which according to my review so far would be well worth it! Secondly, the sides are priced at a really affordable rate and youll be surprised with how big the portion is per your buck. I can vouch that the fries and mac & cheese are on point. Well worth a look! Finally, they offer what they call a dirty plate (if youre from western Pennsylvania or the Pittsburgh area its pretty much a tamer version of the garbage plate) which is basically a meat a top two sides and covered in sauce. Dont be fooled though, it may sound strange and foreign, but its pretty delicious and they do a great job at making it. To top it all off the staff is friendly, the food is prompt, and even though it is very much a bar/pub styled restaurant it still caters very nicely to families with children during the lunch and dinner hours.

One of my favorite things in life to do is eat good food. Generally, when we go out to eat, which is once or twice a week, we tend to stick to higher-end restaurants, always wanting to try new dishes and experience foods not common to the region. And then other times my primal instincts kick in and I want chicken wings. I moved here 18 years ago from the Northeast and have yet to find pizza or wings worthy of ordering again. That was until I ate at the Dirty Buffalo. I had my first chicken wing in 1987 and I instantly fell in love. Growing up and living in the Northeast, there was never a shortage of good pizza / wing joints. So, when I moved here, I suffered for 17 years without either dish. Then, last year, my girlfriends step-dad, who is from Buffalo, told me about this place. And off I was. Not only are these the best wings in the area, they are the best Ive ever had. Their Hot Garlic Parmesan wings are phenomenal. In addition to the wings, theyve got a fantastic craft beer selection. I went last fall and they had Pumpking, which is one of my favorite seasonal beers, on tap. No quicker way to win a mans heart than offering great wings and great beer. Dirty Buffalo, you win. No one compares to you. Now off to finish my quest in search of great pizza.

Im a bit of a wing addict, so when a co-worker mentioned hitting this place for lunch I was all over it after seeing they had the "best wings in Hampton Roads." I ordered the 18 piece with, which came out to about $24 after tax and tip. I was disappointed with what I received. The extra hot sauce and old bay rub were tasty but the wings were cooked to the point of being tiny. For more than $1/wing ($18.99 for 18) I expect them to still be meaty after frying. I mentioned my disappointment to the waitress and she was sympathetic but told me to come back when theyre not so busy for better wings. I also mentioned it to the fellow behind the bar and he told me thats how buffalo style wings are done and I should request them to be cooked less thoroughly next time. I get it, crispy wings are delicious but I dont want to have to gnaw on the bone just to get a full meal. I might go again when the wings are on special but Ill never pay full price again.

After all the hype and myself being from buffalo I was pretty excited to try this place. The dirty fries were good, a bit over greasy but tasty. However the wings were horrendous, not crispy at all and literally drenched in sauce. The basket was full of pooled sauce to the point they were swimming. These are certainly not quality "buffalo wings", not to mention them everything is super over priced, $13 for a dozen wings, $11 for a chicken finger sub with 1 1/2 fingers on the whole thing and a disheveled piece of lettuce, disappointing to say the least. Service was fast though so I guess thats one positive. If the owner truly knows buffalo food then he has really let the quality slide. I would not recommend going out of your way to go here, save your money and hit up a local pizza joint.

Been here before. Easily some of the best wings Ive ever had. Im rating 3 stars, because I ordered wings and poor man wings to go, and they got the two separate sauces mixed up on the orders, and I didnt order extra blue cheese because one thing typically is enough, but they only filled it like a quarter of the cup. Disappointed with an otherwise great place. Ill update my review with a better rating when I get better service. I dont want discourage customers, just check your order before you leave, but that shouldnt be necessary with a restaurant. EDIT: Been back a few more times, havent had an issue again like last time. I just keep blue cheese in my fridge so I have enough. The new location is looks great too.

This place was great! We came late Sunday to watch some football and eat wings. It was pretty crowded, but we grabbed half of a table and quickly ordered. If you have not been before, you have to go up to the counter to order your food and drinks. However, if you are planning to stay waiters/waitresses stop by to ask if you need anything else. The food: We ordered the garlic parmesan, medium, and Cajun buffalo wings. All were delicious and came out super crispy. I was hoping the drumstick would be a little more meaty, but they came out perfectly. Drinks: Prices were great, we tried a local IPA and a saison and they were both fantastic. Overall, great place.

I was happy to find that this places "Sweet BBQ" sauce was actually sweet instead of having unexpected heat. Ive been burned before at other places ordering "sweet" sauces that end up having heat on the back end (Im a sissy when it comes to spicy stuff). My husband and I got 12 traditional wings to split (half teriyaki and half spicy BBQ) along with a dirty chick plate that had potatoes, macncheese, and two tenders in sauce of choice - this is where the sweet BBQ was. Everything was delicious. The environment was obviously a college-style bar hangout, so it was noisy and busy, but I didnt mind. The food was too good!
