Greenies is on the ocean and I imagine it would be a fairly pleasant experience in the right weather. Smoking is allowed throughout the bar which acts as a sort of last bastion of freedom for smokers. However, I am not sure if it relates to smokers, but Greenies seems to be a haven for the quintessential redneck, knuckle-dragger or window-licker. There seem to be no trash cans in sight at Greenies; you want that ash tray emptied? You have to wait for the waitress to get done with her smoke break every ten minutes. Speaking of waitresses, it is ok to have to wait ten minutes between rounds when it is a busy night. But, on a slow night it is hard to forgive... especially more than once. On another note, the bartenders have a sign up on their internet-based juke box, that they reserve the right to nix any songs the see fit. This is a common policy, but at Greenies it is abused. I can understand if some idiot played one song five times as a joke, this is where this power should be exercised. But, they veto music based on their musical taste alone. I guess they didnt get the memo that bartending isnt about them. If you only want certain music, dont provide an internet-based juke box. The waitresses are stand-offish and impolite, with no decorum. The bartenders are impersonal at best. The "bouncers" act like bouncers when they should be customer service representatives. i.e. It is possible to be tough, set policy and exude a posture that "means business" while at the same time being polite and personable. You can have both... I promise. Greenies is a one-dimensional place. It looks like it never gets cleaned. If you want to get trashed with zero regard to your surroundings or how you are treated, this is the place for you.

The staff is rude. We gave this place about 10 different chances, just to be sure we werent catching anyone on a bad night... plus there isnt a lot of bars in the area. Dont bother playing songs on the juke box, the staff can and will skip any songs they dont like. When I asked, I was told they have the right to skip any song played on the juke box. Like hard rock or rap. Which kind of boggled my mind.... wouldnt it make more sense to just take those songs off of the juke box, rather than waste customers money? Several of my songs were skipped, even "the distance" by cake. Didnt realize cake was hard rock lol. Its kind of sad bc we really wanted to like this place. There is a large pool hall area and thats primarily what we were looking for. Unfortunately the pool tables are so jacked up... like so jacked. They spit extra balls out, wont release all 15 balls, and the que ball doesnt always come out. When you ask the staff to please come unlock the the table to get your full game of balls, the waitresses and bartenders look at you like you just spit on them or something. Strangely enough, the bouncers are the only polite staff lol. Like I said we gave the place several chances and theyre just so rude. Its a popular watering hole in the area and we do have friends that go there often... but were just done. Were pretty easy going customers and we tip well. Maybe well try it again in the summer, when it will probably be its busiest. Busier seasons usually call for extra staff, maybe there will be nicer people then.

Groups of us would go here all the time but we repeatedly have received HORRIBLE service. We decided to go this year again to try it out because the view is great but were dissapointed yet again and I believe this is it for alot of people that would go here on Sundays. It took over an hour to get things such as raw oysters...really!? Then forget about refills unless you stalk your waitress!! They like to single people out and make them adjust their wardrobe (ie. A friend of mine had their hat on backwards and was asked to turn it around because of gang activity, but you look across the room and their are people sitting there with bandannas on their head that werent asked to adjust their wardrobe, singled out?!, I think so! ) The place is just deplorable and if it werent for the view and beer towers, I believe this dive wouldnt even be here! If I could give negative feedback I would! Oh and watch your card statement....THEY HAVE BEEN KNOWN FOR CREDIT CARD SKIMMING! (My personal experience and friends!!)

Arrived at 2pm to dine alone, not a peak business time at all by the way, sat at my table for exactly 18 minutes a server looked at me and turned her head. At this point I was sitting there about 10 minutes. 8 minutes later the server Brittany began walking towards me and asked the server previously mentioned, whether or not I had been waited on, she rolled her eyes and was like I dont know. I ordered a drink and debated very hard as to whether or not I would spend my money at this establishment. In the time it had taken me to order and get my drink, another table arrived, of a different race might I add, and the unnamed server was at their table within 2-3 minutes. But unfortunately for her someone had already taken care of them. Im not one to ever pull the RACE card but as I told the manager perception is everything. This review wont close them down but maybe it will enlighten others and the wait staff. All money is #GREEN!

It was 4th of July and my wife and I sat on the deck with my son this evening. Went there for the outside deck, shrimp, and beer. Our waitress was very slow with the service our table. When we were ready to go I had to get up to find her in the wait station eating. I asked for the check. She could not give me an itemized check for the food and beer we ordered. She said all she could give me was a total and that there was a policy of Greenies that of tables of four guest or more a twenty percent tip was required on the tab. We got what we paid for the Deck, shrimp and beer but we sure did not get the twenty percent worth of required service i was expected to pay. We were tired and i had a long trip back to Richmond so we did not argue. I paid and left. Required tip on a four top is a crazy policy by Ronnie Boone and Greenies. I will be some time before we go back if ever if that policy stands.

Chaotic! Nothing worked in an orderly fashion. Waited 20 min for a waitress and that was after going to the bar ask for staff assistance. I flagged down a nearby waitress for help in finding our waitress she replied " I am NOT your waitress", I clearly knew this but wanted her to send mine over. Waited another 25 min for her to show up again -ugh. Service on the whole sucked. Steamed shrimp were great but the fried shrimp sucked. Beer choices sucked as well. No organization out on the patio. Table and chairs are really beat up and dingy. The only redeeming quality was beachfront view and parking availability. Before you think this is a one off, the lady next to us, a regular there, said the service always stinks like this.
