Had breakfast here a few times and the biscuits and pancakes are the very best. The staff is friendly and the diner ambiance was what we expected. In the past they had giant breakfast muffins that were delicious! Most recently the breakfast was very, very disappointing. The hashbrowns were terrible, they tasted like they had been cooked all at once and had sat out for a long time before being served, they tasted neither fully cooked nor fresh. The scrambled eggs were served stone-cold, while the other eggs were great. The cheese grits were hot but tasted just ok. I witnessed a couple of the individuals in the cook/prep staff not practicing good food safety measures... Saw someone drop a prep spoon and set it on the prep surface in the back... gross. If you wear gloves but never change them while you are wiping your brow and cracking eggs and plating cooked food... The gloves arent doing the food any good! Ive eaten at diners on occasion my whole life and typically a fully staffed Waffle House is cleaner than Five Forks Cafe; I really do hate to say it, but even for a diner this place is no where close to sanitary and my standards arent that high.

This place was awful!!! First the sweet tea tasted spoiled and waitress got an attitude when we said something and she said I just made it! Wish makes me thinks they dont clean whatever they make the tea in or keep it in! Then when the food came out it was cold like it wasnt heated up all the way because it came out way to fast to be sitting out long! Then of course I find a hair in my eggs! And no it was not my hair I have long hair and my husband has none lol. After that I was done!! Im not the type that likes to complain but this was to much it was one thing after another. This is actually the first time Ive ever wrote a bad review on anyone or any place. My husband told the lady that checked us out but she didnt care. I really think the health department needs to visit this place!!

I am with the person who said they almost dont want to share the news about how good this place is. This is one of the few locals only spots in Williamsburg. It is small cafe with a great atmosphere, even better service and even better food. Its local and all the staff are kind and friendly. They make excellent breakfast and usually have delicious specials. Prices are fair, actually low in comparison with everything else in the area. One word of advice- weekend mornings usually have a long wait so get there early or stick to weekdays. Lunch and dinner are great too.

Service was excellent. The wonderful waitress saw that we were in need of ice tea refills and she brought a carafe without even asking. Burger was huge and great according to my husband and I had the homemade corned beef rueban made with the homemade thousand island dressing. Didnt give it 5 stars only because the building itself needs some freshening up, however they rent the building so they are at the mercy of the owner. Its too bad because I think a lot of people of would give it 5 stars if not for the environment.

Bad food, dirty vibe. My family and I really wanted to like this place. We came looking for homey, diner food but got sub-par food in a very unclean place. My wifes plate was so dirty we had to send it back. There were bugs everywhere and the last straw was a huge roach that cuddled up between me and my wife. And the total bill was $53 for two kids and an adult. I feel like I need to eat some nasty trucker service station food to get the taste out of my mouth.

Best breakfast in Williamsburg, everything is done well from the time you walk in the door and greeted by the owner who is hands on and makes sure each otrder is correct and meets the high standards that he has had for years, he makes sure that everyone has a great experience. The quality of the food, the attention to detail makes 5 Forks not only the best breakfast in Williamsburg, now you can have the same experience with lunch or dinner.

Only ate here once while passing through but have to say my experience was way different than others. Waited 20 minutes to meet our waitress. Then it took an hour for the food to come. No apology or updates, food finally showed up and was somewhere between mediocre and meu. They forgot to bring out a side but by that time I didnt care. maybe they were just really short staffed but I would not eat here if youre in a hurry or want good food.

This may look like another roadhouse diner from the outside, but do not let that fool you. This is where all the locals in town go to for a home cooked, authentic, and reasonably priced meal. EVERYTHING here is home made, even the salad dressings. Do not pass through Williamsburg with out eating dinner here, or at the very least try one of the authentic southern home-made seasonal desserts. Not to be missed.

This place has great breakfast, the pancakes are huge and come in a lot of different flavors (banana pecan is my personal favorite). The prices are reasonable as well, and overall its a better quality than your average waffle/pancake house. The Russian lady who runs the register is also very friendly. Just be aware, they are closed on Mondays.

Just like many have said a nice local diner with awesome food. Everything is fresh and the service is spot on! The menu has a wide variety we had the gyros with Greek fries that are the best. The greek salad and chicken corn chowder was fantastic topping our lunch with strawberry bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Great value for the money

I was skeptical but it turned out to be a great diner. Went with a group of 7 people today. Everyone loved their burgers, as well as the big breakfast, Greek omelet, my chef salad was big and tasted way better than the usual at many places Ive been. The service was friendly and pretty quick. All around solid experience, we will be going back.

As a tourist I saw the reviews and decided to give this place a try. Pros: extremely fast service cons: the interior of this place is rather dumpy and dirty. I know this is a "diner" but it could be better maintained. Food was decent but if I had a choice Id go to Cracker Barrel any day over this. Kinda meh.

This place is a greasy spoon without (most of) the grease. Five forks serves up all the diner classics from open faced sandwiches to liver and onions The servers are friendly and the food is amazing! The portions are filling without leaving you bursting at the seams. For lunch I suggest the Patty melt.

Ate there on a Wednesday for lunch. Needs to be on triple d. Looked like a great breakfast menu but the lunch menu was even better. I ordered a gyro my wife got the crab cakes. Both were delicious. Have a 5 year old and they had plenty of options. Strangely she walked out of there full......hmmmm

The classic greasy spoon in Williamsburg. A favorite local breakfast spot that has been around a while. The corn cakes and omelettes are amazing. The only problem is that it gets packed on weekends. You could find yourself waiting for a while trying to get in.
