Awful place. We were sat by a drafty window. I asked the male server what the house sauce was on the chicken marsala and was told "um...its like a brown sauce with white wine in it. I think. Im not sure what spices are in it. Ive never had it." I ordered the caprese salad as my entree. It came out with my husband side salad. Meaning i would just be sitting there watching my husband eat his entree. We asked the server to box up his meal and the server asked, "Why are you in a hurry?" We told him what happened while the manager was listening in the back. She provided no help. He told us that the chef made the salad first but wasnt meant to go out. My husbands lasagna wasnt ready for another 20 minutes meaning my salad was meant to sit in the window and become warm. A salad with mozzarella isnt meant to be eaten at room temp. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

I have only eaten here one other time! Today, I was extremely upset! Originally, I was wanting tilapia, (fish), it was not offered, so, I ordered a calzone, gave rhetoric waitress the ingredients of what I in the calzone! The meat was left out when I got it??? I told the waitress, several times I cant eat any thing with tomatoes, with the dish there was a bowl of tomato sauce???? It did not end there? She was either not understand what I was asking or just was not trying! My bill was quite a bit higher than I was looking for? Will not go back!!!

Best meatball sub around. Reasonable pricnig, great happy hour specials. Lunch was delicious and the sight / smell of pasta dishes coming out to other patrons was outstanding as well. Came in last week and had the meatball sub, let our excellent waiter Brad know that while it was out of this world taste wise, it was lacking in meat. Returned today and what do you know, they listened and piled on the meatballs... Take the time to find this restaruant , I promise you wont be disappointed in the price, the service and most of all the food....

Having lived in Italy for 3 years, I can honestly say this is the Most Authentic Italian Ive found in the area. If youre looking for American-Italian, no, you wont find it here. You will find Authentic Italian food at a very reasonable price and a friendly and professional staff. Even the atmosphere is very Italian with a small interior and a few outside tables. A little taste of Italy when I came home was Very Welcome! I will be going back frequently! (P.S. They need to add Spritz! LOL)

I eat here every Sunday. The pizza Lidia Special with crispy crust. Simply scrumptious. The Penne Alla Macy is fantastic. We also love the Alle Vongole (pasta with clams in write sauce) and Melanzane Parmigiana (eggplant) is OMG! Love Love the food! Staff are awesome and love the small restaurant. If you speak Italian then you will be at home here. If not, no worries, English is OK as well.

Stopped here for a late lunch while traveling south. It was very good and pretty speedy. Service was friendly and they gave us drinks to go. House salad, eggplant parm and minestrone were delicious. Hubby and I split the entree, which was served with one roll. Oh well we didnt need the extra calories anyway.

Good food, good prices, good service. We ordered a calzone, and it was giant, 2 people could have split it, so much food and such a price. The calamari appetizer was really good too, loved the marinara on the side. I also had the linguine with marinara and it was really good.

My coworkers and I have gotten take out several times and it was great, salads, subs, dishes. My husband got take out last night for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Eggplant parm was very good and lasagna too. We plan on going in to eat next time.

We stopped here on our lunch break from our driving. It sounded good. We were certainly not disappointed. The amount of food and the quality for the price were amazing. Our server was very nice and very accommodating! Will most definitely go back.

Just enjoyed lunch here with my entire family. The staff was wonderful, great enviroment. All of the food was delicious. We ordered pizza, calzones, salads, wings, loaded fries and everything was perfect! Highly recommend!!

The service was incredibly slow considering its so quiet in the restaurant. The staff was incredibly rude and the food was not great. There are many other better Italian places to eat in Mechanicsville.
