Pros: Atmosphere and Decor, Service, Menu Choices, Unique Quality and Delicious Food, Dessert Cons: Stale Flat bread, Price/Quantity About The Restaurant: "BRAVO! is proud to serve Italian classics with a twist made with authentic old world cooking techniques and the highest-quality ingredients - house made pasta specialties, pizzas and flat breads, steaks, chops and seafood. We invite you to come join our atmosphere under a fun, family-friendly Roman ruin decor." - Bravo Web site Our Experience: My wife and I were looking for something different for lunch in Fredericksburg and outside of the usual Chiles, Applebees, Olive Garden... We were about to give in when we stumbled across Bravo! located on the corner and tucked away from the areas shopping area and restaurant to a more secluded shopping street. The restaurant is located in a upper scale shopping area of Fredericksburg Central Park area. You either have to park on the street near the restaurant or in the large parking lot a short walk around the shopping area. The restaurant has a fitting exterior to the shopping around the location. There is outside seating, however it was raining and not available when my wife and I went. As you walk in, you are immediately taken to the classic/elegant roman-Italian style decor. The restaurant has a beautiful and upper scale theme, great for date night, romantic evening, or special occasion, while still giving a casual place to have lunch or meet up with some friends. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and sat down at a booth. Allison (Alley) our server met us and got our drink order. She was very friendly and quick to assist us with whatever we needed. The menu has a wide range of starters, soups, salads, house specialties, pastas, pizzas, seafood, grilled specials, desserts, coffees, wines and beverages. We started out with the Artichoke & Spinach Formaggio, which we liked, but the flat bread was not "hot" and some of the pieces were stale. My wife ordered a lunch special with was a pesto ravioli in a cream sauce, which she enjoyed and would love to order again if it was actually on the menu. I ordered Mamas Lasagna Bolognese, which came highly recommended by Allison. I enjoyed the lasagna, being it was unique to Bravo, although it wasnt what I expected and probably not something I would order again. Lastly, we decided to get the Tiramisu, which came out a little slow due to them making the coffee caramel sauce, but it was worth the wait and DELICIOUS! The prices matched the average serving sizes and quality of food, which met our expectations. Overall, I say BRAVO for the experience and I would recommend this restaurant. Its elegant atmosphere and equally great food are worth getting away from the usual chains. The service and food were warm, minus the stale flat bread. I would definitely like to return to try a few more items and house specialties. If the coffee was as good as the sauce used for the tiramisu, I would go back just for a cup!

BRAVO to BRAVO!!!!! I celebrated my graduation from high school last year and wanted to go somewhere fancy with a great staff and wonderful food. I am pleased to annoyance that I had an awesome time. The staff was great our waiter was very polite and patient and dealt with my every request. We wanted something more private and intimate and we found it, they let us have the captains room, which was great because we were away from all the noise and could enjoys each others company. I especially loved the fact that they reserved the patio area with the couches for us we had an amazing time drinking tea and having desert outside. The desert is a MUST have !!!! save room for the desert you will not be disappointed, especially the lava cake. All in all, for the amount we spent I had the best graduation ever, they treated me like a princess and I really felt special and beautiful on my important day. Now it has been a year and I still look back on that day and I am filled with happiness because they did an amazing job and I am in gratitude with them. I always try to stop by, because the food gets better and better each time I visit. So thank you bravo you made my day, and you continue to pleasantly surprise me.

I was compelled to inform Bravo of our experience yesterday and was quite disappointed. First of all, the parking was terrible, which is not Bravos fault, but parking is far and inconvenient. Secondly, we had to ask twice for kids menus. There were seven children in our party, so it should have been obvious to bring kids menus when we were seated. Thirdly, not having any salad offered with the main dinner is very unusual for this town, especially considering your prices. Also, someone in our party ordered the crab cakes, and they were the smallest crab cakes I have ever seen. For $19.99, we expected more than two tiny crab cakes and no salad. There was one meatball on our childrens spaghetti, and the shrimp salad that I ordered was bland. Overall, we were highly disappointed. We dont expect Bravo to do well once the excitement of a new restaurant wears off.

The first time I ate here was excellent, the food was great. It was lunch time, that trip was with coworkers. I brought my family here the next week for dinner because I was so impressed, we had a horrible experience the second trip. My daughter became sick right after we left the restaurant with nausea. She had the Margarita Pizza. My son’s chicken Parmesan was good, my husband lasagna was just OK. My eggplant Parmesan was unseasoned and very watery tasting on the inside. Not a good experience. The worst part is that within 60 minutes of paying for this meal, the credit card that I used was stolen and being used in Florida….. All over the place. Be aware that this company has had a breach of credit card information, so I’m not sure if it’s their system or the wait staff.

Bravo Cucina catered a team dinner for my daughters soccer team while we were staying in Fredricksburg for a tournament. Philip, the general manager, was so very helpful and suggested their fantastic Pasta Bar which included a selection of pastas, sauces, proteins, salad, bread, and best of all- catering trays and racks, sterno, serving pieces, and disposable dinner wear all for $12 per person! Philips staff even packed my car for me. All of the other parents were blown away and the dinner was perfect and so easy to set up in the hotel lobby. The only down-side is that the dinner was such a success, the team put me in charge of Team Dinners for the rest of the season. Oh well- hopefully there will be Bravo Cucinas nearby!

This was my third time over the past year at Bravos. Each time I find myself surprised that the food is awful and expensive. Save yourself some cash and go buy a frozen dinner and microwave it. Youll get the same or better quality of food. Everyones food at my table was overcooked, and looked like it came out of a frozen packet. Then we paid a nice $160, what a waste. The atmosphere will confuse you, its a nice looking place. Do not fall into the trap of going to this nice looking place. Avoid if at all possible. Your wallet and tastebuds will thank you at your other dinning experience.

My daughter and I are regular customers, at least 2 times per week. Sometimes food is excellent and sometimes its bad, like the soupy veggie omelette I had yesterday. Sometimes the wait staff is good, and sometimes they totally dissappear on you, like Michelle. But its according to who you get. And watch out if Michelle tells you shes putting in a reward point for you on your card - you never see it! GM Phillip tries to make amends, but you still come out feeling unappreciated for your business!
