This place has a beautiful atmosphere! In the dining hall there is a beautiful fireplace and very pretty photographs. There is an eating area outside, which is covered. You can go out in the yard and play around while you are waiting on your food. Also there is a patio right off of the outside eating area, so you can relax and watch your children run around, while waiting on your meal. Also the food is wonderful. And great desserts!! You wont regret trying it out! And you will want to come back for more, again and again.

I just had the best meal of my life tonight . The fried okra is out of this world and for the very first time I tried corn fritters they were fabous. The owner was so kind she came around and made sure our food was good. The ribs were hickory smoked and cooked perfect. Please if you have never tried this little restaurant , take the time and do it you will not regret it .

You gotta love places like this. Comfort food to the max with great friendly staff and an owner almost always on site ensuring everything is right. Their burgers are out of this world. And their chicken fried everything is stick to your ribs good. Stop by Thursday night for live music with a sit in band for a true slice of Americana.

Great food and atmosphere. The restaurant has a cozy, cabin feel. The ribs are so good. I love all the sides Ive tried also. Every time we go to Goochland, we make a stop at Hickory Notch
