Coming from Texas where the barbecue is delicious, plentiful, and cheap- the first time I came here I was surprised when I had their moist and flavorful brisket. Unfortunately when I took my wife back and ordered the brisket again it was extremely dry and bland. The chicken tasted awful. The texture was rubbery and the skin wasnt crispy, but chewy. For 43 dollars for 2 people for lunch, there wasnt much food, and the food there was wasnt good. I can do better at home on my grill. In summary, first time I came the brisket was delicious. Second time it was terrible. Consistency is important. The girl ringing me up at the cash register looked at me like I was crazy for ordering meat by the pound. Its a barbeque joint...dont start trying to talk me into getting a platter instead of ordering by the pound. You have a menu and I can read. Just ring me up for what I say I want. Very annoying. She seemed really confused. I ordered a half a chicken and she kept wanting to ring me up for pulled chicken. I said, "No a half a chicken. You know... A whole chicken thats cut in half." She said, "Oh so you want a half a chicken cut up. Thats pulled chicken." You lost a customer.

Had the chopped pork platter and didnt have any complaints, though the Famous Daves and VA BBQ I normally frequent tend to have a better price:amount:quality ratio. Given the area and it being a local business, I can forgive the higher prices. Another person in my party complained the his brisket was bland. I tried a piece without sauce and would have to agree. The brisket was dry and leathery. Not sure if they marinate the meat or what temp & time they use to cook it, but I would label the brisket as "Yankee BBQ" at best. I wish them luck, but the brisket needs work if its going to compete with other restaurants.

Not the North Georgia barbecue I grew up with, but quite excellent in its unique way. I usually enjoy the pulled pork (try the whiskey-based sauce!), but the brisket is good and they have some of the best ribs Ive ever eaten. Portions are not so big that you leave food on the plate, but enough to keep you from walking out the door hungry. The ranch beans are wonderful and the cole slaw tangy, just like it should be. The cornbread is a little too sweet for my taste (with a hint of cinnamon in it?), but I am not there for the cornbread. All-in-all, this is one of my favorite places in the Gainesville area.

Just got food here tonight. Brought it in to work and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It definitely deserves the high reviews and the awards they advertise on their window. Some of the best BBQ in VA. Willards was my prior favorite but this place will definitely get more of my business as I find myself needing BBQ while in the area. This trip, I got the pulled pork sandwich + sweet corn (on the cob) and the pork cheese fries appetizer. Came in around $15.

The BBQ Po Boy was awesome ($13 w/regular side, + $1 for premium side) My wife had the pulled pork with sweet potato fries and stated that she only had better fries at one other place, in her hometown of Richmond. The coleslaw was surprisingly good and the staff were very friendly. I would return and recommend to anyone looking for a great meal at a fairly reasonable price. Only downside was that I do use the word "fairly" very loosely.

I have used Bad to the Bone catering twice. One was a rehearsal dinner and the other a 40th anniversary party. Both were very important occasions. They arrived on time and provided excellent staff. The food was very hood and remained warm throughout the party. They were flexible with special requests. The guest had many compliments. I will use them again and recommend them to anyone that would like to serve a great bbq.

Ive been going to the bone for lunch at least monthly since they opened. Last time I dined there they fraudulently increased the tip on my receipt by 40$. The manager refunded it when i called about it, but I still wont be going back here. Ill also encourage my coworkers not to come here. If I cant trust them with my credit card, then I certainly cant trust them with my food.

My burger cost 13$$ and was a Greece mess. I would recommend a chilli and seasar salad, if you have to go here. This is not exactly what I would call a "Family restaurant" with a very limited kids menu. The kids menu is located at the fron, rather than posted on their black board. The barbecue is fine but the servers arnt very attentive.

Pulled pork is great. Sides are good. Cole slaw is creamy but not too much so. Sweet potato fries were an extra $1.50, but were yummy. Nice selection of bottled beers. Organic cider also available. A few brews on tap. Overall very enjoyable. A little more expensive than I would have thought, but the food was tasty.

The food was okay... A little overpriced for what you get. I got the two meat combo, pulled pork and brisket. The brisket was dryish with no flavor. The pork was also plain and want pulled apart very good, mostly chunks. If I was asked to go back I wouldnt go.

Finding this place reminds me of when my mom found Jesus. I feel like there was a hole in my soul I didnt even know about until I filled it with this pork sandwich and Mac and cheese. This is without a doubt the best bbq I have ever had!

Best barbecue in Prince William. Come here every Sunday and never get tired of it. Turkey is great and the homemade sauce is wonderful. Bought bottles of it for my house.

Not a BBQ guru, so I wont be hyper critical. My family and I have eaten here several times and the food was good. We usually get an appitizer and end boxing up our meals.

Great for take out or eating in. Plenty of options for everyone. I love the pulled pork here. They also have a food truck that you can find around the area.

For the amount of food and what I paid for doesnt seem to add up. Got an order for two and spent about $40. The food and service were ok. Fast and speedy.
