First of all the service was great. The server constantly checked on me while I waited for the food for about an half hour. Now the food. These previous reviewers probably think Taco Bell is a 4 star Mexican! I ordered Steak Fajita and it really sucked bad...lots of onion and bell peppers and a teeny weeny amount of overcooked meat that looked strings of noodles? Ugh. Obviously a left over and been sitting around for a while, and yet they are even so cheap about it. Everything about this place seemed cheap..the location, the building, the food. Obviously the restaurants is trying to cut corners and save some money from the way foods are being served. I guess as long as the Fort Lee crowd constantly fill up this joint giving rave reviews. why change? Since moving here from Texas last month, I can honestly say so far this was the worst food I ever had around this area.

The thing about this place in particular its a hit or miss. Sometimes the food is amazing and sometimes it is really terrible. They are not very friendly and as going regularly the should know us by name. Which is bad customer service to not acknowledge people who are putting money in your pockets. The accuracy of your order is horrendous. Each time they make things a different way not consistent. Id say for the amount of food you get its pretty overpriced you are better off going to Los Bandidos which their staff is unfriendly there too I keep asking my self why I go back truth is its close to my house and when they dont mess up its delicious but they do mess up a lot. After I write this review come to think I wont go back

Absolutely horrible! Let me start by saying the food was of good quality, but aside from that, the customer service lacked significantly. We were seated in a back corner, no air ventilation, and mind you it was over 80 degrees outside. We waited over fifteen minutes before anyone took our drink order, after complaining to several waiters during that time. To top it off, I asked if they served black beans, they told me yes! Come to find out, my food is served and I still waited for beans, approximately ten minutes after I finished my meal, but they brought out refried beans!!!! Totally disgusted and dissatisfied with this venue, and Ill never go again.

Wish I could give no stars. Terrible service! Waited a good amount of time before we were even greeted at the door and they werent even busy. Had to ask the waitress multiple times for multiple things. Their white sauce is so bland and nasty. Carnitas are super dry and they put big chunks of dry fat in it so it looks like more. Took forever for everything...to sit, to place a drink order, to place food order, to get food and also receive the check. And no free refills on anything (except water)! You cant expect much for being in Hopewell though. Do yourself a favor and just drive somewhere else.

Great for this area. There are authentic mexican menu items (Molé and Molcajete) and there are Americanized Tex Mex options. The prices are very reasonable and in-line with other dinning options. It can be as little as a few dollars (Taco Tuesday $1 Tacos) or in the $2- $19 range depending on what you order. The drink specials are a great value and the carry Victoria and El Sol beer from Mexico in their beer menu. If you want a chill Mexican restaurant without all the corporate fanfare then this is a great spot. Call ahead and ask about specials. The crab quesadillas are fantastic.

Im not from here, Im in VA for 2 months for school. Worse food ever!! I am Mexican born and raised! I ordered a Chalupa and a Tamal. The Chalupa was pretty much a tostada with some beans, lettuce and guacamole on top! That is not a Chalupa. The Tamal was way too salty and whatever sauce was on top tasted horrible! Not authentic at all! Stale chips, and a white sauce on the side?? I dont even know what that was. I also ordered a Tamarindo drink, I know they used a Coolaid type drink not fresh what so ever. Will not be eating here again for the remainder of my time here.

Been coming here for a few years but never again. Tired of getting charged $0.75 for a half filled cup of salsa. Drink refills arent free like every other normal place. Today I was charged $2 for Pico de Gallo. They have never charged for this. Their response was to tell me thats how it is and started pointing to a menu. Pico! Its onions, tomato and cilantro and you wont budge on $2 for a little spoonful? On our way out we just decided this is the last time. The food isnt THAT good for all this hassle. Notice all the positive reviews are only talking about Margaritas?

My family and I eat there whenever we go Mexican. The wait staff is very friendly. Weve never had to wait long for our order to be taken to when the meal is sat in front of us! Not to mention, the food is delicious! As far as the Margaritas, they too are delicious, any flavor Ive tried has been great!! Its an excellent Mexican Restaurant in Hopewell.

The waitress was rude. Apparently expecting her to do her job was an inconvenience. The margaritas were weak and overpriced. We could only order one drink per person at a time. Service was slow and terrible. Dont waste your time, unless you come expecting to be treated like garbage. This doesnt happen on the west coast!

Service was prompt and friendly, the food was hot and flavorful. One review stated they give only two tortillas with a meal and we found that to be true. I am happy with my experience. I am not from Virginia and this was the first time I have ever eaten at this resturaunt. I would eat here again if I lived here.

Two great evening meals here. Great atmosphere. Great food. Great service. ...until our waitress got lost for 20 mind while I was waiting to order dessert. I waited her out just to see when she would remember us. I highly recommend ElNopol.....it is great to find veggies while eating on the travelers road.

Usually when i go here the service is very prompt and i can understand my waitress. Tonite my waitress couldnt understand us n really didnt seem to know english. My waitress seemed to be new and i wasnt very satisfied with service. So tonite i wasnt very happy although my other visits were very satisfying

Oh my. Neon green margaritas. No tequila we could discern. Ordered standard lunch plates. One person in our party asked for no cheese. None of us got cheese. Sever never checked back. Had to go up to front desk to pay, the employees were sitting in a booth on their phones. It was funny.

Good service GREAT food! Nothing is reheated everything is made fresh and well served,I know because Im good friends with the CEO owner. You will love it, its a great place to take your family out. Its kid friendly, clean environment, with a complimentary deck ,and tire swings for costumers!

We moved to Hopewell & had been looking for a new Mexican restaurant to eat at...I think we found it!!! Food was delicious, drinks (sweet tea x 2) was a bit pricey, service was excellent, she was very accommodating. Its very close to home. We definitely plan on eating here again!!!!!!
