Full disclosure, this is not a review of the restaurant itself, the service, the drinks, or the overall experience. It is merely a review of one truly terrible, disgusting burrito. Our story begins several hours ago, when some friends decided to go out for margaritas and some food. Alas, I was busy working. "Bring me back a burrito!" I said to my boyfriend. "A super burrito with no sour cream" I instructed. To my great delight, the burrito arrived some time later, just as I finished my late-night work assignment! I grabbed a fork, dug out the first bite, and was met with...a hot, hot mess (actually, sort of lukewarm, but I digress). The chicken was institutional Tyson chicken bits. The smattering of peas and corn throughout the rice were obviously from a freezer. There was nary a bean to be found. The sauce was overly sweet and flavorless. The ratios were all off. The SINGLE SPOONFUL of guacamole was hiding in one corner. THE SOUR CREAM IT WASNT SUPPOSED TO HAVE HOWEVER, WAS F-ING EVERYWHERE. I really love burritos. Its hard for me to talk s---t about a burrito. I can forgive a lot in a burrito, and have. But this was the worst burrito I have had in many, many years. I recognize that several years of living in California and being within a stones throw of excellent Mexican food 24/7 may have just ruined me for Mexican food here in Virginia. I get it. But if this is the best you can do El Paso Mexican Grill, PLEASE STOP MAKING BURRITOS. Or at the very least, change the name to the more accurate Hot Garbage Wrap, and stop giving burritos a bad name.

DO NOT dine here! Not because the food is bad its actually very good, but because the customer service is TERRIBLE and no one should have to deal with it. I ordered online and went to pick up my food when I arrived there were no hosts in the front of the restaurant, but there was not shortage of waitors and waitresses staring at me as I stood in front of the podium watching the walk past and say NOTHING or even acknowledge my presence. Another family walks in about 6-7 minutes later and the host comes right out of the back doesnt acknowledge me even though I had been standing there for almost 8 minutes prior to their arrival and looks right over me and starts talking to the family that had just walked in, only then when the family he acknowledged said that I had come in before them did he even look at me I politely told them to go in front of me because I was only there to pick up an online order. The host to took them to their table and disappeared, at that point I was ready to leave because no customer should ever have to wait this long. I had already paid for my food so I couldnt leave, but had I been there to dine in they most definitely wouldve lost my business because of there TERRIBLE customer service.

this was my first and last time to go to the restaurant .First off I sat at bar to get something to drink the bartender never even asked me if I wanted something.He walked out without a word.I had to get a waiter to get me a drink.Well I started to look around the floor was very dirty along with the bar .Oh back to the drink I asked the waiter to get well he asked the other people at bar if they wanted a drink which he made.This experience was about 15 minutes long .I got my food Then I asked what ever happened to my drink .I finally got it as I was walking out.I told them as I was walking out I would never be back and they said nothing.Well I get home and start eating .Well the steak burrito I got looked an awful lot like hamburger.Also it tasted like I was eating crab.So my overall experience with this place was not good to say the least so be warned and watch out

Its good stuff. More authentic then chains but cozy, good prices, portions and welcoming staff. One friend did not like it, but thats because they consider Taco Bell Mexican food as a reference. I always ask staff for recommendations and I am never disappointed. There is so much traffic at night in this restaurant it does get chilly and drafty in the bar area. An air curtain or something would be great to avoid the occasional freeze that send you racing for a jacket. I have recommended this place to others.

(1) Store bought tortillas (2) store bought tortillas werent evenn thrown on the stove before serving (3) because of that the cheese in my bean and cheese tacos couldnt even melt! (4) I said ONLY bean and cheese, there was lettuce in the tacos (5) arrived with no one waiting to be seated but we had to wait for over five mins just for someone to come to the front podium. Simplest takeout order and they jacked it up. Couldnt enjoy my food, waste of money!

Ive been coming here since it opened. I usually come twice a week wether I need it or not for my fix. The food is great! I have been to Mexican restaurants all over the place and this by far is great food, great prices and super friendly staff. You have to come and try it. Its worth it. Danny and Andre, the servers, are awesome and always remember what you like to drink and eat.

Ive come here twice now, the first time was amazing from food to service. The second time was just as amazing food wise the service was ok the second time but still really nice! The only issue if you can call it an issue is that you get A LOT of food all at once. And they dont have the picture of the food next to the name. Stay Cool.

I went on the 21st of August for the first time. This place was awesome. We got seated immediately and chips and salsa came to the table before we even sat down. our server was Herson and he was so attentive. I dont have once complaint about this place. I recommend this place for the drinks and the food. And when you go ask for Herson!!

Id like to give this place more stars since its so hard to find decent Tex-Mex in NoVA, but its just okay. Margarita was a little watered-down, carnitas were a little dry (but good salsa verde), sopapillas were so-so. If service had been better it probably would have rated a fourth star, but service was definitely poor.

This place surprised me. The service was exceptional, the food came out in less than 10 minutes, they have an amazing selection of food, and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the "Surf and Turf" and it was surprisingly good. I literally said wow when I bit into it. I highly suggest El Paso if youre in the area.

Brought to you by the same family that brought us the other El Paso restaurants in the area (or so I am told). It is a keeper. We went and asked for a dish that we eat at the one by Smoketown Road. The server said they did not have it on the menu, but the cooks knew the dish and made it for us. #win. :D

Good food and nice atmosphere. I havent had a bad meal here. The menu is quite extensive and the food is decently priced. There are not many vegetarian options but they dont seem to have any problem making menu substitutions. This is definitely one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area.
