The food was good, price was ok but i would stay away. firstly they charge $2 for 1/2 cup of rice. Secondly and the most damaging factor is they charge a 20% gratuity on my bill, and i was dining with one other person????? and if you are going to put gratuity on my bill, i think its only fair that you tell or warn me. i realize its my fault for not paying attention to my bill. But the owner is myopic and only seem interested in taking an extra 20% on an initial (1st time customer)bill, rather than building a long term relationship with her new customers. Its shameful that my own kind could be so unethical. who puts gratuity on a bill for 2 people, and if you do is it much to ask that you warn me beforehand or tell me after i get my bill.... So if you go, scrutinize your bill, and a happy customer should never have to do that....

Had lunch today while I was attending real estate course at NVAR in Herndon. It was my second time eating there and I remember that I had a good experience the first time so I looked it up for my second visit. It was definitely clean and cozy and the lady who greeted me and took my order was super friendly. I ordered a lunch special with vegetarian Pad Thai and spring rolls. The 2 veggi rolls were great and I enjoied them thoroughly! Pad Thai was sufficiently sized for lunch portion but definitely not as large as it comes at some other restaurants. However, for being vegetarian it only had a handful of sprouts on the top and tofu...none other vegetables were present :( Wish it had carrots, onions or at least something else. Was tasty but not my favorite.

I had the tempura shrimp as an appetizer. A little too much for one person. The batter was a little heavier than I see in Japanese restaurants, but it tasted good. Many items on the menu were priced with chicken, but had a second option for turning the dish into a seafood combo. I had a craving for green curry seafood, but the green curry only listed chicken. I asked if that could be converted into a green curry seafood combo, and they happily complied. About 8 shrimp, a few scallops, eggplant, zucchini, green beans, rice and a nice green curry sauce. Very good.

Very nice waitstaff, but the food was poorly executed. I had the crispy pork belly, and it was just huge chunks of fried fat with a little bit of chewy meat. Tasteless and chewy. It was a Filipino dish called Lechon Kalawi. I looked up how to cook it traditionally and it seemed as though it is boiled, then seasoned, and then fried. That would have made it more tender and tasty. Alternatively, they could have rendered a bit more of the fat. I have had crispy pork belly that has been exceptional, so I know it can be done better.

This place is a rare gem of a restaurant. Ive been there several times and have never been the least bit disappointed. The focus here is on the food, which is excellent, time after time. The ambiance is average but that is reflected in their prices. Ive paid twice as much for meals that were not as good as Taste of the World. Im glad its not closer to my office or within delivery range of my home because my wallet would be skinnier and my gut fatter.

Being from the Philippines and coming to the US when I was a kid. It was always hard for me to find an authentic Filipino restaurant while growing up. I could never find a place where the food would remind me of home. Until today, Taste of the world has some of the most authentic Filipino cuisine in the area. I highly recommend coming here and trying out the Kare - Kare. I will definitely be back with friends and family.

Delicious food and nice ambiance. My husband and I enjoyed their lumpia shanghai for appetizer, bulkogi (korean beef w/ poached veggies) for main entrée, and caramel custard with macapuno for dessert. We were pleased with everything. The service was great as well. If we lived around the area we would pay this place a regular visit. Too bad we dont even live within the state. Overall, two thumbs up!!

The service was great and the food here was good, but if you are looking for authentic tastes I recommend finding another place. Its probably because of their broad variety and fusion style. The Drunken Noodles were too sweet for my taste, and their Banh Xeo was very thin making it difficult to eat. Their portions were also a little small compared to the price as well.

Was expecting more based on the reviews. Had an Indian dish which had incredibly rubbery chicken that I suspect was pre-cooked and microwaved before served. I hate to pick on a small family run businesses, but given the out of the way location of this place, they need to step it up a notch or two.

Great place to try different foods from around the world hence the name. Its a casual and comfortable restaurant with great service Lunch on Fridays is a little crowded so the food is a little late and the service is frantic

I ate the filipino pork bbq app, and the pancit bihon entree and it was everything I hooked it would be. Great place with a myriad of cultural foods, indian, vietnamese, and pinoy encompassing.

Terrible service, auto-gratuity of 18%, and slow as dirt. The food would have been okay if it wasnt served cold. Avoid if possible unless youre a fan of microwaved pasta for $13.

Great food and great selection when your group cant agree on what to eat. The peanut sauce is excellent. Enchiladas and the spring rolls are excellent, too.

We love this family-owned place. Very innovative fusion dishes from all over the world. One word of caution...it is *not* handicapped accessible.

Been going here for 15 years and is still the best place in the whole area for foods from around the world. My favorite is peanut beef.
