Warning !!!!! Very important to read before go there* They have new trend that giving an extra item complimentary of $3 value when your buy for $25 or more. Unfortunate I had ordered my dinner which was beyond the $25 bucks. The girl insist me to get one of the complimentary item. To be very honest, after seeing all the items, I was not interested none of these as she was insisting, so I took a Paneer Kathi Roll which they use to sell in $3. How they make this Paneer Kathi Roll? Whatever is the LEFT OVER end of the day, specially vegetables, they wrap in the flatbread and keep there to sell in $3 or to make their customers happy with extra food as gift. Story is not finished yet. I had purchased my dinner on Feb 7, 2015 and the roll they had given me had clearly written Feb 5, 2015 as expiration. So food was already expired before they give to me. I have not given the attention while eating but after eating when my stomach was started hurting and feeling lot of severe colic, I had checked the date on the cover which was still sitting in my trash bag and it was hand written printed 2/5/2015. I just had the blind faith and faced this issue. Another story of the onion nan at this restaurant is, we ordered 3 onion nans. I have a knowledge of cooking so I had figure out the chef just stuffed onions in the Bhaturas floor not the real wheat floor. It was just a joke that guy cook a onion bhatura. I did not complaint them at that time but this Paneer Kathi Roll was really a great lesson for us. Be Careful before get such kind of items from their restaurant.

Food is absolutely amazing but im here to tell you something completely different as to why you shouldnt buy from here. The owner is incredibly smart for an old man. He exchanges his money from a private source and change you can get from here could be counterfeit. He purposefully hires young, student transfers, because he knows that they wont be able to check the money well. You might ask me how I know or have got this info. Well I go there often because I love Indian food, probably because im Indian. I can understand what the chefs are saying and I heard them talk about how they almost got arrested because the bank found out he was constantly getting counterfeit money. I got interested in the matter so I spoke to the register. The boss mainly gives hard cash and never checks. Usually a mix of 20s, 50s, 100s. He said it was very obvious that the boss didnt go to a bank to get fresh notes and usually gave them the money straight from the register. Ive been wanting to talk to him of this matter but he is never present at the actual restaurant. There are children that work here for very hard labor and very little pay. The conditions are horrible, the young register had said that he sometimes cries because of the hard work conditions. If someone ever sees the boss, confront him of this issue. This is not okay it we shouldnt be blind to what happens outside of the dining room of this restaurant.

In regards to both on-site food and off-site catering, I can say the quality and taste of the food is good. I tried their paneer butter masala and channa masala with naan. All was very tasty. I even ordered Paneer Pakora, which was excellent in size and flavor. For catering, I ordered a variety of items for approx 30 people. First, let me say that no other restaurant can beat their samosa size, quality and taste. Samosas are hands down excellent. If it helps anyone in the future, you will need at least 1.5 samosas for each person. You only need a medium size container of rice (not full tray), and you will need about 8 pounds of paneer butter masala, med tray aloo methi, med tray channa masala. You may think it looks small, but trust me, we had a lot of food left over because we had paneer tikka and samosas for appetizers, which people get full on. On pickup, they were prompt and helpful in re-measuring the weight. Some items came in heavier than I ordered, but they didnt charge extra. Any items that came slightly under, they promptly fixed. They are honest in their dealings and kept their word on timing and quality. I am satisfied with my experience, and will definitely order again with confidence. I primarily deducted one star because I feel the restaurant is not kept clean.

You know that stereotype about Indian food? Bad smell worse taste. Or is that stereotype just around my circle? Anyway, just by my registering to that saying alone you can imagine I didnt have high hopes when it came to Bombay Cafe. I came here because a while back I heard that they had a buffet. I was disappointed to find out they didnt have that anymore. So right at the get-go my main attraction was gone, but I was hungry so I stayed and ordered the chicken curry. I have to say, it was delicious, joyfully flavorful, like there was a party in my mouth. However, I have to say that the service was very lack-luster. Im not saying this because of one isolated experience I had with a waiter, but because when I came here it seemed like it was a chaotic day for them. For some reason the waiters kept on ignoring me, they even went to couple that came there before me and my girlfriend. I think we ended up waiting 25 minutes or something which was a drag an probably why I found the chicken curry so delicious, as I had waited so long that my stomach didnt care. Not sure we will be coming back here in the future.

Never again! I went there today with my cousins. The cashier, I believe his name was Suraj, took our order. It started out well. We gave our order and and got ready to pay. Suddenly my cousin remembered about the student discount and wanted to use his student card. The guy got this annoyed expression and rolled his eyes. He said he had to "cancel the order", so we should have told him earlier. Then my cousin said he wanted to add another item. This time, in addition to the already existing sour face, he exhaled and decided to grace us with a glare. My cousin at this point directly told him to stop being rude. The guy said he wasnt being rude, but anyone could see the attitude on his face. He said the report for cancelling goes to his manager and he gets yelled at. Maybe before giving us the totals, he should have confirmed our order. Customers are allowed to make edits to their order. Dont try to rush and provide poor service.

The taste is alright, the atmosphere is horrible, and the food is very oily. I ate here regularly (once-twice a week for about a month), and my cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels, suddenly went up. I guess they use cheap ingredients, and for that reason they are able to sell the food at lower prices. The level of service is very poor: the level of service you get will depend on the color of your skin. The owner seems a very nice person, but some of the staff are horrible. Usually asians get very bad service, even if you are a regular customer. I noticed that white customers get very good service, often at a higher priority than asians. For example, if you order their platter, asians get only one meat item and one veg item. White people can ask for two meat items. I have noticed this several times while waiting in the queue.
