I almost never go to places that would earn 1 star but the reviews fooled me. Having had a bad experience when it was Byranti Pointe we decided to give it a try for lunch today and see if the name change helped. It did not. We knew something was up when at the height of lunch hour there was only one table. We ordered an app, Chicken 65, butter chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala, explained to the best of our ability that we were in a hurry and to please bring the food out as soon as it was ready. I say tried to explain because the poor girl spoke almost no English and could not/would not speak above a whisper. After 20 min I asked across the restaurant if the manager could check on my food. Asking across the restaurant usually would be rude but we were the only ones there. He just said its coming and went back to his paperwork. Nice. Food came finally and we asked her to bring boxes and the check since we only had 10 min to eat. The chicken 65 was inedible. We each had a piece and that was it...a $9.99 appetizer wasted. The butter sauce was delicious. The problem was we ordered butter chicken...not butter sauce. There were honestly only 4 tiny morsels of chicken. I couldnt believe it. The chicken tikka Masala was very very good. And remember the boxes? Neither did our waitress. After 10 min she finally came out of the kitchen to give us our boxes.

Fantastic Indian lunch buffet, great selection of all sorts of foods including several curries (my fav was the goat curry) and lots of vegetarian options too. Great masala chai as well. Love the buffet, the quality of the food is easily on par with what you have to order individually at any other Indian place, but instead you just pay a single price and eat to your hearts content! Its not like Chinese buffets which may have a greater selection but the quality is always far lower than a Chinese restaurant where you order your dishes. Ill have to warn that while I love spicy food, many of the items in the lunch buffet are on par with hot in spiciness at other Indian restaurants. Bit more than medium Id say. I love to order the hottest possible usually so I love the buffet for having this level of spicy, but if you dont like spicy food you may not like the buffet that much as your options will be more limited. I think its still worth trying even if you dont like spicy foods because there are enough lightly spiced options -- though Id you dont like spices Id wonder what youre doing at an Indian restaurant in the first place. Also the drinks arent on tap, you get a can of a soft drink if you want something other than water to order to drink. But the masala chai is a included in the buffet spread and very good, so Id say that makes up for the lack of a soda machine.

One of thd BEST Indian restaurants in Richmond. Hands down. Went here on a whim for lunch and fell in love. Amazing food variety with a solid balance of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Excellent quality and portion size. It tastes fresh and homemade. Spacious atmosphere with smooth jazz playing (yaaaaaaaaasssss!) super friendly wait staff. And they use SQUARE!! I ordered: - fried cauliflower: crispy, with sweet and spicy sauce. Killer. - paneer: same style as the cauliflower. Again, killer. - curry goat: secretly spicy but absolutely amazing. The meat fell off the bone. Not tough. - butter and garlic naan Other people at my table had tiki marsala chicken, tiki marsala veggie, and and butter chicken. All of it was heavenly. Only downside: speed. Dont expect to get in and out. Plan for an hour. I promise it will be worth it.

We have eaten take-outs a few times at this place since it opened a few weeks back and we dined in yesterday and I should say the food is very good. The price is reasonable and the staff is very polite.Usually as an Indian I have seen that Indian food places tend to be careless or rude to Indian customers, and suck up to Americans, however this was not the case with this place,or maybe they need good reviews from their own kind before they can start being rude to us again. Nevertheless I liked the food and the price, the Masala chai and Gobi Manchurian were awesome and would recommend people to eat at this place. And I request the staff to keep up the good the service and treat equal all its customers,Indian or otherwise now and for always.

The food was just average.Staff was disorganized. We were a group of three and had to wait 10 mins for a glass of water. The buffet seemed routine with regular Indian dishes.Chicken manchirian was good though.Biryani needs to be improved over the course. No proper desserts (served rice pudding which was average). Its just a day since the restauant was opened. Please dont come to a conclusion. This is just my experience. There is always scope for improvement. Hope I enjoy my next meal.

The food was delicious, Till now I have tried Fish Fry, Friday Buffet, Mango Lassi, Raju Gari Kodi Paluo, Rayalaseema Kara Dosa, Goat Curry, Vada & Sambar at that restaurant. Each and every item was above my expectation. The interior art collection is elegant and this restaurant has very good space to host private small parties. Staff was courteous all the time and liked the idea of serving water in Copper Jugs which is very good for health.

One of the very few places that serve authentic Indian food around Richmond. We catered food from this place for an event at VCU. They did a great job with all the items on the menu. All our guests enjoyed and appreciated the food. Thanks to Turmeric Indian Cuisine. I would definitely recommend trying this place, especially, their gulab jamun.

We went for a Saturday lunch buffet, and were pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty, there were plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. The ambience was inviting , and the service was very quick and on their toes to meet your needs. Will definitely go in the future again.

Had a great experience during opening weekend. The buffet and naan were great. When the storm took the power out in the area, the staff was quick to run around with flashlights and additional candles, processing bills by cell phone, in order to keep things running. Ill be back.
