A friend of mine recently introduced me to this gem. The first thing I had was the samosa chaat. The second time I visited, I brought a group with me and we tasted almost the entire menu, plus some items that the owner made that werent on the menu. The third time I visited was because I had started dreaming of the delicious food and couldnt stay away. This has all happened in just a little over a month span of time. I do not like going out very often. I typically feel that I can make much more tasty food right from my own home. This place I can visit numerous times and feel as though I am coming home (as I told the female owner during one of the visits). An Indian friend of mine has left town and this is where I go to for authentic Indian food. Im not sure about when or how anyone has ever had a bad experience here, but each time I have gone, the food is fresh in appearance and taste. The flavors are unique and make you feel as though you have walked into a cafe in the heart of India. There isnt much seating, which is probably the downside because I cant fit all of my family and friends then, however its a jewel. My favorite restaurant currently. If you ask my spouse, I never have favorites, so this is a big moment for me. I strongly encourage everyone to visit if you like, or havent yet discovered that you like, Indian food. Whether you go for the meatier traditional chicken curry or the chaat, make sure to have it with the stuffed bread (the name of which escapes my mind right now). Ask as many questions as you wish, the owners are very helpful, descriptive and patient. (They also do catering.)

I have been to this place many times, tried on various occassions. I got sick consuming their food twice, This time I got Jalebi and samosas packed and reaching home I found that jalebis were rotten we threw jalebis, we took samosa which were not rotten but were also not looking fresh, we got bad stomach the very next day. Around one year back same happened to me after taking samosa from same place. No improvement. Though food is little cheap but Food hyegine very poor, worst place, go anywhere else, lady owner of the place if you are listening, please improve quality, do not sell rotten food otherwise you will loose other customers as well.

This is the best little indian place. Romi (if i spelled that right) makes all the food with her husband and it is so good. My friends and i go there for Samosa Chaat almost every week, and at $3.50 for a meal you cant get any better than that. Its a little hole in the wall place with authentic indian, great service and its cheap. it isnt a sit down type if place, a take out is more similar in atmosphere but it never matters and I recommend this place to everyone; im addicted.

When I was handed my food, I was asked if I would like the food warmed up !?! Silly me, thought chicken curry should be served hot. The veg is so over cooked (or old) that its more like a paste than a veg. Their web site claims there is a Thursday special - but there isnt; no explanation was given as to why not. SAVE YOUR MONEY and just buy a bottle of hot sauce - that was the only spice I tasted. (BTW, my home made habanero sauce is hotter)

Where do I start? This place is wonderful! The food is cooked to order, though the menu seems a little small I think its still a great selection, everything is SUPER cheap, and its delicious! I ordered take out and literally ordered every app and walked out smiling. The owners were very friendly and helpful as well. I might just start dropping in every time Im I Henrietta to grab a snack.

The vegetable samosa was nice (thicker than normal crust, which I liked) and the accompanying chutneys were good. However, the chicken biryani was hotter than it needed to be (for my personal tastes at least - thank goodness for the accompanying raita) and the flavor was one-dimensional, rather than nuanced (I think there was too much cardamom overpowering everything else).

We love going here for inexpensive, tasty food. This is not a full service restaurant--and we have been asked if wed like our food warmed up-- if we are taking it to go. The owners are super friendly and offer tastes of things if you are unsure what you want. Not all indian food is super spicy- I have had mild and hot food here. It depends on the dish.

This place has deteriorated over the last few months. They hardly have anything fresh. The lady takes out of fridge and micro waves it. The chilli bhajji i ordered was horrific and she served it to me anyway. I threw it in garbage. Plus I heard this place had fire as the oil was all over the place. Not going back!

This place makes me sick everyone I eat here. Took me a while to realize but never going back there. The lady over there has attitude too and the food is always already cooked except for roti. Thank god she doesnt serve the frozen one microwaved. Thumbs down!

Awesome place! Love the Vada Pav there! I used to miss that the most, but no more now! I love the chaats too, I had Aloo Chat and it was awesome. Love the ginger, garlic chutney they make. Reasonable rates. Worth going for all chaat lovers!

The food is really good! Has rich flavor of Indian food. If you wanna go for spicy they have mirchi pakora(green heart chili pepper stuffed with dry spices battered and then deep-fried)

The best Indian Food in Rochester. I love going here. It reminds me of the meals my Indian friends mother used to make us when she would come to visit him in college. Delicious.

Very authentic Indian food. Limited menu. This truly Indian food as you might have it at a friends place or in a smaller venue in India.

So good! Authentic Indian street food served by the nicest couple, in a small no frills place. Ideal for a quick snack or a solo lunch.
