Desi Street Food is a wonderful addition to a slightly-saturated market. My husband and I have been searching for a Desi restaurant to make our "standard" since Kabab Grille closed a few years ago. Desi Street Food absolutely fills that void! The portions are very appropriate for lunch and the price is reasonable. The food is absolutely delicious - I especially love the Channa! The roti is top-notch and some of the best Ive tasted at local restaurants. I also greatly enjoy the puri. While a little off the beaten path, we wish Desi Street Food the best of luck and hope they continue serving delicious food for years to come!

I was so excited when I heard this place was opening and after going there for the first time on their grand opening I was not disappointed! This is a family run operation and all of the food was freshly made! This is a 100% Vegetarian restaurant with a wide variety of Indian food options stretching from south indian dosas and idly to north indian Pani Puri and Pav Bhaji! They also have some great Gujarati food options which are rare to come by in most Indian restaurants. I had the Pav Bhaji and Dahi Puri which were both delicious. I plan on returning to try more options!

Tried several food from the menu. Loved most of the items. A couple of items (ordered 7 items in total) needed garlic but overall worth visiting again and again. Great Indian street food choices from North Indian to South Indian to Gujarati as well as standard generic street food like pani puri with 7 different water flavors, chat dabeli etc. super friendly owners and staff. Very reasonably priced with decent serving portion. Would definitely recommend.

This restaurant opened in 2016 and is located in a building next to an Indian market (Royal Bazaar Farmers Market). All of the food is vegetarian and traditional. The ambiance is purely Indian -- from the music playing on the speakers and the Cricket on TV. The owner is an amiable person and delivers food to the patrons tables. The ample menu is made up of affordable dishes and the Aloo Curry and Puri I had was delicious.

All vegetarian food. It felt better when we initially found this place but got monotonous because they only have a choice of 3 or 4 varieties of curry and the remaining menu is same. In less than a month, they increased their prices and decreased the food quantities. Most of the Food is made only in the morning or noon and served for the rest of the day. However, their samosa chaat and other chaats are yummy.

Worst indian food I ever had. Food was bad. Too much black pepper. No taste at all. Portions were very small. I had the Pav bhaji while my wife had the chole bhature. Pav was off the shelf buns and bhaji was a mix in a small cup - it was full of black pepper / red pepper flakes. Same goes for the chole. Both tasted the same. Both dish was about $7 each. Definitely will not go back again.

I have been awed by the quality of food, the service and the variety thats available at Desi Street Food. DSF is filling up the gap of much needed vegetarian only option for Richmond community. We ordered multiple chaat items as well as other food choices and all of them were of excellent taste, very authentic. Will recommend DSF to anyone who wants to have authentic vegetarian food.

Desi Street Food is an excellent place for Indian fast food delicacies. The food quality, ambience, and customer service was excellent. Dhaval and his team provided us a great customer experience. Their Dahipuri, Vada pav, chole Puri, and masala chai is too good!!!! I have been a regular visitor after doing my groceries. Best wishes to them for continued success.

Visited this place last Friday with family. We both like chaat/street food a lot that we missed from past few six years in Richmond area. We had CHOLE BHATURE, VEG KATHI ROLL and SAMOSA CHAAT. They taste good and within reasonable price. This is a good place to eat all good Indian street food. I recommend this place if you like street food.

I just loved this place. Its clean and colorful. Serves variety of food. Taste is awesome. I had dabeli, bhel, vada pav and pani poori. I felt like I am eating all this in india. I am going to visit this place again. There is a big grocery store too besides this restaurant. This is the best place in Richmond for Indian food.

Very bad experience !! The taste of the food is not worth the price !! Moreover, mango lassi tastes like jaggery water mixed with the yogurt and the water floats on chutney for idli

Good Indian Street Food, I liked the Masala Chai, Chapatti, the Veg Sandwich, and the Buttermilk drink the best. Dabeli & the Mirchi vada are spicy and good too.
