We have been to this location a few times before today and loved it. today we were looking forward to some really good bbq. We were so disappointed. In the past we were given the option of moist or dry. Moist was true brisket but today we werent given that option. we even asked for it and we not told it wasnt available. today the bbq was not brisket it was flank. very dry meat that took three cups of drink to get it down. Then will sitting waiting on my husband to finish, chocking it down cause he paid for it, I saw one of the employees wearing his gloves. now wearing the gloves is great but he played with his hat, wiped his face, picked up some cups and still had on the same gloves to serve the try to a customer. Next time if they dont have the moist we will be leaving and going somewhere else to eat. MANAGER TAKE NOTE. watch were the gloves are used.

Fast and friendly food and service. 6 different BBQ sauces and a roll of paper towel on every table. Pulled pork BBQ sandwich and baked beans were excellent, probably the best I ever had, baked beans had pulled pork in it and tasted like BBQ sauce in the baked beans (I could be mistaking). When we were leaving, saw folded card with Reserved on the card, asked a lady employee about it, and she said they had tables reserved for a group of 30 military personnel coming in. I asked her about all the military memorabilia on the walls, and she told me that 2 people related to the owner served in the military (one of the World Wars, I think) and some younger relatives of the owner is currently serving in the military, so Mission BBQ was opened to/for/in their honor.

This place is awesome. They catered a friends wedding last year and it was hands down the best wedding food Ive ever had. It was phenomenal. I was excited to see that they opened a location in Hampton. Ill admit that I was a little hesitant to try it and ruin my memory of the catered wedding, because lets be honest, BBQ restaurants usually suck. Overrated, lukewarm and dry food. Not at Mission. This place is fantastic. I dare say its the best BBQ Ive ever had in my life... including their sides. And something as simple as lemonade... theirs is on point. Good job guys, keep it up. Ill be a fan for life.

Wanted a quick bite and my S/O and myself saw the amazing reviews and wanted to give mission BBQ a try. I was extremely impressed! I got the pulled chicken sandwich combo and it was delicious! I got two sides of fresh and hot baked beans and REAL Mac n cheese. The sandwich was a good hefty portion. And the sweet tea is very refreshing. The table has an assortment of different BBQ sauces that were all tasty. The service was fast and welcoming. Everything had a very "homemade" taste. My boyfriend had the brisket sandwich and he loved it. Overall very impressed and will be coming back for sure!

Words of wisdom pulled chicken and Mephis Belle BBQ sauce food so good it will make you weep tears of joy. The only thing wrong with my visit was that it was my second choice a friend of mine recommended another lesser BBQ place to us and we decided to try it, it was awful which led us to the decision to eat at Mission BBQ. A decision well worth it. From entering the restaurant to getting our food to the table took less then 10 minutes. If I could give them more then 5 stars I would. If you dont eat at Mission BBQ then F*** You.

Its not often that a restaurant exceeds my expectations but Mission BBQ did. To really sample what they had to offer I had the 3 Meat Sampler w/their brisket, pulled pork, and smoked jalapeno and cheese sausage, mac-n-cheese, and green beans w/bacon...everything was simply AH-MAZING. You can taste the wood and smoke in each and every bite of meat! Their sides were not to be over looked either. The mac-n-cheese was tastey, cheesy, and gooey! If youre ever in the mood for BBQ stop in and youll leave full and happy!

This is the first review Ive ever done and I wish I could give them 0 stars. First off, how are you going to have a military themed resturant and not offer any military discount? The service was terrible and the food was blah at best. The best thing about this restaurant is that they had decent beer. For the same price you can just go to county grill and have amazing BBQ with great beers and great service.

Had an excellent meal consisting of perfectly cooked turkey and collard greens. The have natural FRESH lemonade daily, not that minute made syrup stuff. No wait on a Thursday afternoon and the staff were kind and attentive. I have eaten here often and never gotten a meal that left me dissatisfied. This is a newer location for the chain and quickly becoming a biweekly meal option. Highly recommended!

Really good food... get the 3 meat sampler! I loved the turkey, pulled pork, Mac n cheese & they have 6 sauces to choose from. Plus they have an awesome seasonal strawberry shortcake. Additionally they have a parking spot dedicated to veterans, military & 1st responder items all over the place. So I was disappointed that they didnt have a military discount.

Great barbecue meats and a unique atmosphere dedicated to honoring service members! This is a hybrid fast-food place where you order and pick up your meal at a counter and find a table to sit at. But the quality of food is much better than the typical fast food fare. Service is very friendly. Long lines at lunch time, but worth waiting a few minutes.

Dont let a line here scare you away. You order at the register and it goes quickly! Our food was ready less than 10 minutes after ordering. It was hot and tasty! Other BBQ places in the area are overrated. This is our go to! The facilities are clean and I really appreciate that there is always someone working to keep the dining are clean!

Great BBQ! Basically the fast food version of County Grill. Texas style chopped brisket was amazing. Seating on Sunday seemed to be a challenge but food was worth the wait. My only complaint was they continued to sell dine in when there were no tables available. Peopke used condiment bar as place to set tray and eat.

It is hard to find great beef brisket in the south. You wont be disappointed. Mission BBQ have high quality very consistent products. Something for everyone. That fresh bun they use makes a huge difference when you eat your sandwich. I wonder where they get their buns. Glad to see their 2nd store in the area.

Call in an order for baby backs were out, not their fault almost closing time. Settled for St . Louis only had half rack left, fall off bone but lacked flavor. Mac was bland, beans were a bit spicy. Also got brisket real tender. All in all I still would go back better than most places Ive been.

The best little BBQ joint Ive been to. Very service oriented. When I say service I mean military , veterans and EMS workers. Awesome wall of photos and memorabilia. Every day at the noon hour, they play the national anthem. Very cool place to take our Coastie A School graduate daughter to.
