Biggs used to be an a great place to grab some tasty bbq and unique burritos and appetizers, albeit at an expensive pricetag, but unfortunately they have devolved into a place that offers mediocre or below average food at ludicrous prices. My fiance and I ordered the Slayer Sandwich, Half Rack of Ribs, macaroni and cheese and an order of crab fries. We could not have been more disappointed with what we found in our boxes. To start, their sandwiches are at least 3 times SMALLER than they used to be, so small that they wont even fill you up after eating one. These used to be monster sandwiches that would bust your belly, but have turned into borderline sliders on cheap, fluffy hamburger rolls instead of the awesome keiser rolls they used to have. As for the ribs, I find it hard pressed to call thse ribs considering they were practically all fat. No joke, they were so fatty we decided to pitch them after only a few bites, which included a mouthful of tendons and joints. The fries were absymal, being generic bottom of the freezer fries with some old bay seasoning thrown on them haphazardly, while the mac and cheese was such a small portion we couldnt believe the pricetag, and it literally tasted like velveeta cheese and nothing more. All of this for $40? Are you kidding me? Finally, this is the THIRD TIME IN A ROW weve ordered food over the phone, only to show up and be told they didnt have a particular ingredient (taco meat, brisket(!) and chipotle) to make some of our items. There are other issues as well, including heavily bearded men who make your food standing over vats of ingredients without a beard net and a general dirty feel to the place. Cant believe this place has a 4.5 review here on Google. If you havent gone to Biggs yet, do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere. This used to be a great food joint, but unfortunately it has regressed into an expensive dump with awful food.

Today 2.28.15 @1600hrs I met my wife at Biggs for an early dinner. We had not been here before and thought we would give them a shot. Arriving before her I went in and used the restroom and washed up-after washing up I discovered there were no paper towels in the rack. I opened the door with my elbow and stepped out like a surgeon who had just scrubbed to find paper towels on a table outside the bathroom. Then I went and sat down to wait for my wife, while trying to read the menu that is mounted over 8ft in the air a employee offered me a smaller printed menu. The television was super loud and there was also music playing from the kitchen. When we got up to order at the counter a family took our clean table-the only one in the place-so we had to clean another table ourselves. After ordering I went to get us drinks to find the soda machine had no ice in it and none of the furry faced employees were filling it. Speaking of the furry faces. I saw one (1) employee wearing a BIGGS t shirt. the rest of them had on whatever they felt like wearing and stocking caps-not one hair net or "beard" net in site. I asked them to turn down the television and they did but the noise level inside the place was still way to loud-there does not seem to be anything to deaden the sound of other guests. Our food arrived and smack in the middle of my sandwich is a pile of wet mushy cole slaw-they menu states that the "sloppy pig" comes "with" it-it did not state that it is meshed into your sandwich. I peeled the slaw out of my sandwich and ate it-the meat was good...onion rings and fries were also good. However-I cant seem to get passed the general "dirty" feel and appearance. I was reminded of a college frat house kitchen were close enough..is good enough. To sum it up-I dont think we will be returning-I sure do miss Harveys in MtJoy.

I went with my husband to try this place out for the 2nd time. We went about a year ago and the wait was horrible but wanted to give it a second chance. When we got to there and the person at the register was just texting and had no interest in helping us. We placed our order and had a seat. They the guy who was making our food had to run to the bathroom in the middle of making our order. He yelled to a guy who walked in and said "Finish making that sandwich." Then the guy came out of the bathroom and didnt wash his hands or put gloves on and finished making our food. It grossed me out so much! The food was not very good and later that day it made both of us sick. It seems like it could be a great place but it was very dirty, the service was bad, and they were not sanitary. Just a heads up.

This place is very clean and new obviously. The employee was helpful and gave us some recommendations. Unfortunately the pork sandwich roll was so hard it was not edible, the pork was full of fat and had a weird color. The coleslaw was pretty dry... then I found a hair in the meat when I was picking at it. Didnt tell the employees because two of them were constantly on their cell phones and then they traded off going to the bathroom each 15 minutes. Wont return.

Interesting and varied menu. The meat is always very flavorful, and the smoked chicken wings are to die for. Only drawback is that we have ordered from here on a Sunday, and on more than one occasion they have been out of certain menu items. They also recently changed their menu and made it a little less kid friendly, which is not ideal for our family. Still, food is quite good and worth a try!

I all ways order the Veg Out Burrito. Fabulous! Theres something about tempura battered green beans and banana peppers, combined with rice, black beans, lettuce, salsa and queso that is outrageously delicious. My husband orders the Sloppy Pig most of the time and Ribs on Fridays. BIGGS is spot on with their smoked meats.! The hand cut fries are very tasty, hot, crisp and flavorful.

The restaurant and staff were very nice but found the food to be subpar. I tried the Pitmaster sampler which includes pork, brisket, pulled chicken with rice and beans. The pulled pork was the only thing out of all the food and sides (mac n cheese and baked beans), that wasnt tasteless. I dont plan on going back.

We ate here Sunday evening. The beef brisket was delicious. The ribs have a sweet brown sugar rub. The crab fries are fantastic. Our platters came with fresh rolls. Good food and friendly staff. The seating is tight.

Great BBQ. This place has really good BBQ and sides at a reasonable price point. I definitely will be back. Their food comes quick so its a good spot for lunch if you are in the area
