Our server was great, however, everthing else was not. Starting with the wine; we chose a 2009 aglianico basilicata I do not recall all the other details of the wine though. We were brought a 2012 agliaico, that was not even on their wine list. So basically, our choice was swapped out for something similar. The explanation you ask? ....well we dont update our wine list, its the same grape....so does that mean youre advertising a more expensive type and serving another? Honestly, Im not sure, I didnt get the wine details. The wine we did get was delicious, but I dont know what the true price difference is. Then we get our appetizers....meatballs that look and taste extremely similar to Trader Joes meatballs. Hmm. Again I cannot confirm this but they were definitely not freshly made. Also, our caprese salad came to our table without basil, it was replaced with lettuce leaves of a similar shape to basil. Again, not what was advertised. This explanation was...we forgot it, the lettuce is added to make it more like a salad..again thats not true because a caprese salad does not have lettuce. So they added two basil leaves and gave us back our salad plate. Finally, we get our entrées and the seafood risotto I ordered is actually rice and its under cooked...it was slightly crunchy. This time, the owner refused to accept that my dish was not as they had explained. It was one of their specisls of the night. He said, that is how they make risotto and he knows the difference between rice and arborio rice....so again, met with arrogance and no apology or offer to fix any of the issues. I dont know about you...but Ive seen and eaten plenty of risotto, so i too know the difference. It was awful. I would not suggest this place to anyone.

Last weekend, I stopped by this place on the way out of skyline drive, and thought it looked nice and would be good. I couldnt have been more wrong. The food service was absolutely terrible. I saw the owner turn away tables to people that he deemed werent "dressed for the occasion" , but would then wait tables for nicer dressed people. Another couple who arrived after us had been waited on and served their food before we were even handed our menus. On top of that, my girlfirend was handed a kids menu, and was given a very snotty attitude when she asked to see the wine menu (were are both 25). Then when he carded us, he doesnt seem to know what a military id looks like, and tried to take it and report it because "it looked fake". When we finally received our wine, it was in a dirty used cup with crumbs still at the bottom. Food itself was equally as disgusting. Wound not recommend this place to the devil himself.

The service was Highly disrespectful and the food was dreadful! We arrived the exact same time as another couple and some reason the waiter/man who claimed to be the owner, had us sit there for 20mins, the other couple that arrived the same had already received their drinks AND meals before the man would even address us. He talked down to us, never asked what we wanted to drink but instead in a snide comment said "Water huh?" and before we could ask for something else/for the other options walked away....Very bougie!

The manager or owner was quite rude when we came in. My husband was holding a cup and he grabbed from his hand saying that he doesnt want to give the cup advertisement and doesnt want it on his table. My husband offered to take the last sip and he continued to give him attitude and took the cup from his hand once he was finished. Menu was sub par and interior was cheap and cheesy. If you are from out of town avoid this place at all costs. Very rude.

Ordered three plates to share and taste amongst the table. It was excellent! Favorite was the Braised Lamb Shank -- excellent flavor! Finished the dinner by sharing a Tiramisu. Everything was made on location from scratch, excellent food. Owner actually severed us since it was late and not too busy. Gives you a hard time in good fun - proper Italian hospitality. I would definitely recommend - dont rush and enjoy your meal.

Im sorry it was a bad experience for me. The server was good. Food was not. Ordered pizza for the kids, very greasy. My food was just not good at all. The wifes plate was the only good thing. She seemed to enjoy her meal. I was the one so excited to go hear, looks so authentic and beautiful from the outside. But I dont know. I will five it another try and see how it goes. I will update my review if things are better.

This is far and away the best restaurant in Front Royal. The owner, is very friendly and makes sure that everyone has a great time. The food is truly "farm to table", and is locally sourced wherever possible. Almost everything is freshly made in-house and is always excellent. This is authentic Italian food - not an American version of it. If youre in Front Royal, dont miss it!

Service was offensive. Food was decent, including the portobello and goat cheese starter. Tortellini was bland. Its certainly an improvement over the last establishment at this location (a mediocre burger joint?), but the wait staff really pissed off my wife so we wont be returning. Still looking for a good place to eat in Front Royal....

The food here is delicious! They change their specials often but the regular menu stays the same for those of us who like our routine. Very small town feeling and pleasant atmosphere. My current favorite restaurant in town.

Astonishing find. Super authentic place with a friendly proprietor who previously operated out of DC. Ate here every dinner on our Shenandoah NP visit.

The food is good and portions healthy, but I like a bit mire seasoning and red sauce. To me the food was a bit bland. Others might like it.

Food was delicious, but there were not many dishes that I would like to choose from. It was a little on the expensive side.

Wonderful real Italian food. Well worth the moderate price. Not an extensive menu, and the owner and staff are welcoming.
