Ive heard very good things about this place. Unfortunately, it was such a disappointment. Upon my first impression, my boyfriends menu had a massive stain on it, and for 30 dollars a person, Id expect someone to at least make sure the menus arent covered in coke. Also, some food that didnt make me sick to my stomach would have been lovely. I spent most of my evening afterward nauseated. My boyfriend and I went on a double date with one of my friends from high school, and I wasnt the only one who ended up feeling sick either. We sat at the grill, and the chef seemed unfriendly, and only forced out a few stale jokes. The food was so heavily smothered in unnamed sauces that it didnt have much real taste, other than soy sauce, salt, and a burnt flavor from being on the grill too long. My leftover box ended up going to my dog, mostly because I didnt want to end up sick again. The other couple from our double date ordered a sushi platter, which was entirely forgotten. The people sitting across from us didnt get their drinks until the show had started, while we got ours right after ordering. The lemonade was so sour that the girl who ordered it had to ask for a different drink because it gave her a headache. So many little things just added up to an experience I dont want to repeat. I will never go here again. Ill stick with Panda Express across the road before we spend 60 dollars on this place.

The food really isnt all that great for the amount of money they are charging for it... On top of that every single time I ride by that place the employees are outside the back smoking their life away. Its nasty and unprofessional someone needs to learn how to run a restaurant and thats not how you do it.. If you want to smoke your cancer stick walk away from the restaurant not right in behind it. And their always hanging in groups.. Very unprofessional will never eat here again thats for sure!!

Service is lacking. Food is okay. Long wait for a table even though most tables were empty. We had to ask for drink refills, most of us had water and 2 had Diet Coke. Both people with Diet coke received something different even though they confirmed it when asking for the refills. The food is expensive but not that great. Also, not a great place for vegetarians, when all of the food gets prepared, there is lots of mixing, so I ended up with several meat bits in my rice and veggies.

Service was horrible my wife and I showed up for Valentines dinner at 9:05pm cause she got off late. Thought I would treat her and while we waited at the stand to be seated and there were wait staff looking at us and arguing about i dont wanna take them we close at 930. Once we saw that we left managment needs to watch there staff or this business is going down.

We always eat at this place and its usually great but we ate here for lunch today and we were disappointed our steaks came out tough which it usually never the case, and instead of getting charged what we should have gotten charged we were over-charged like $15. Ive lived all over the state of Virginia and this is definitely THE BEST Japanese steakhouse Ive been to. Every time I go to a Japanese steakhouse it is compared to this one and still havent found one that is this good. Wish there were more places like this with excellent and delicious food!

So much food. God, I look pregnant. For the quality of the food and service, the price is good. They accommodate large groups (12-14) in a snap. The tables are set for 10 but they are happy to pull up some chairs if you need them. The hibachi cook did his job well.

Ate in the bar since the grill area was very busy. Extremely under staffed waiters however they were nice and apologetic. Food was average to below average when compared to other Japanese Hibachi Grills. Maybe it was an off night but Id re consider your options.

It is a wonderful experience and excellent food. The service was friendly and did a nice job taking care of our needs. The prices are reasonable. The menu has plenty of good selections but it isnt overly complicated. I would recommend them to anyone.

Your standard fare Japanese steak house always a fun time watching the cooks in action. This one in particular uses ginger dressing on their salads with tastes great and one thing I have not seen anywhere else are the ginger noodles also very tasty.

Used to be much better. Recently went there and the food was cold, table was dirty, extremely long and unnecessary wait time, and the orders were wrong. We also didnt get any napkins for most of the time we were eating.
