Tonight I went to Sakura, I was very excited to go base what all my friends had told me how great there experiences were. When I got there I was told to wait about an hour so I waited for an hour. I then ask how much longer to wait they told me about another hour, so I left. I understand that it was pack and there were reservations Im ok with that. What I didnt like was being lie to from the beginning being told that I would be given a table if I waited an hour. I would have appreciated if they had been honest from the beginning and just tell me "Im sorry we have a few reservations and its very pack tonight its going to be a while to get you a table". I would have understand and come back another day no problem but instead I was made to wait for an hour and then told to wait for another hour, wasting my time and it honestly makes me not want to even go back because of the dishonesty. On top of that it was my first time going to Sakura and I was told it had great service, that it was the most amazing experience that my friends ever had at a restaurant, however this was not the case with my experience.

My wife and I love frequenting Sakura at Tysons. We generally make an excuse to go there whenever were in the area. The place looks great (I want that suit of samurai armor :P) and is quite spacious feeling. Their habachi dishes are quite good, their yum-yum sauce consistently better than anyone elses in town, and their staff is overall pretty friendly and attentive. We have a tendency to sit at the bar (its small, yet nice - 3 widescreens if youre attempting to sit and crush bottles of sake) and order food there, as we dont always like to sit in the back with the groups doing teppanyaki, however, their chefs are very good and entertaining. The sushi is not bad....not award-winning...but good enough for when the mood strikes. I do also enjoy their miso soup. Everytime ive had it, its surprisingly good and not as salty as other places in town.

This is a review for the teppenyaki side as I didnt try the sushi. Went here with my family to celebrate a birthday and everyone had great time... the chef we had was very friendly and had the skills and showmanship without being pushy. The food was solid, though for teppenyaki I dont weigh that quite as much because youre really there for the fun. Lots of silly fruity drinks available from the bar. This place is huge and pretty cool inside, all single level just split into one big area with restaurant, sushi bar, bar and the other with probably 10+ teppenyaki grills each seating 10-12. We were there early at 5 so it wasnt busy but they fired up a table of the 5 of us and one other couple. Service was good as well. Overall we had a really great experience here.

If youre looking for a well-rounded and an exciting dinner, dont come here. First of all, the "hostess" greeted me with a sneer, and was completely FAKE polite. Second of all, Ive been here before and ignoring the rude waitresses, our hibachi chef was incredibly engaging and humorous. However, I came here on a Wednesday and all the chefs were a BORE. Same went to the couple with a different chef across the room. So, the only times you should really come here are on the weekends, because apparantly, they only have the exciting chefs on the weekends. Third of all, being Japanese, I can honestly say that their sushi is terrible. Overall, I dont recommend this hibachi restaurant.

I am 9 years old. Sakura was my favorite restaurant , and I was very excited to have my diner with my family there. so, I went there with out reservation. When we arrived they said to wait for 45 minutes. When 45 minutes finish they did not call us. When we talked to them they said to wait more and more. We said we want to talk to the manger. but the manger was impolite person. He does not respect customers. After wating for more than one hour, he said I cant guaranty that you can come inside before all reservations are done! that is my system. He did not say sorry . They wast our time. and we went to another restaurant to have our diner.

My family and i arrived here and were expecting a great dinner, good waiting, and delicious food, but we got quite the opposite. We arrived at 6:00 got seated and we ended up having to wait 30 minutes for our drinks then finally our waiter shows up after we asked twice while all the waiters and chefs are sitting there having a conversation. Finally they come over with terrible attitudes then they bring us the chef another 30 minutes later. While we are all starving the chef cooked decent food. My advice to you if youve ever been to the sakura elsewhere dont go here you can go to Kobes which is 5 minutes away from this dump.

Worst Restaurant ever!! My wife called earlier in the day to make a reservation and they told her that they do not take reservations. So we over to the Sakura and arrived at 6:10pm we were told that we would be seated at 7:10pm. So we waited and waited and waited, 7:10pm hits and I go over to ask about the table and they tell me "A realistic time because of people who have reservations we wont be seated till maybe 7:45pm" . It took them a hour to give me a "realistic time" and then in the morning I was told that they dont reservations. I am most certain I will never go back.

I visited this spot for lunch during the work week. It was busy in the front where business people where picking up sushi. The back houses the hibachi grill area and looked unpopulated. They have a lunch menu with sushi, teriyaki, and katsu boxes for between 10 and 12 dollars. I ordered the chicken box and enjoyed all the included items. The food was satisfactory and service ok. The boxes at lunchtime were tasty enough and reasonably priced. Getting in and out of the parking lot during lunch hour can be tedious especially when exiting on Old Courthouse.

I was told by phone that the wait for Hibachi would be 30mn. When we arrived at the restaurant 10mn later, we were told the wait would be an hour. I would have understood if it was a packed restaurant, but there were only 3 people waiting, which means the wait was due to reservations... And I know the reservation schedule didnt magically change in the 10mn it took for us to get there. We chose to eat at a regular table. Food was disappointingly mediocre for the price. Will not be coming back.

Weve eaten in the hibachi style steakhouse twice...each time the food and service was without fault. Delectable entrees, with an impressive menu all hidden right in the heart of Tysons corner. It does not matter if your party is large or small, you will enjoy the food and service here. The decor is tasteful, clean, and modern. Both of our visits were perfect and we intend to patronize this restaurant frequently with family and friends. You should too...

Best place in town. Been going there for years and I always take my guests there for the best dinner and entertainment. All the staff are friendly. The food is great. And the chiefs are extremely friendly. I saw some reviews complaining about the staff rudeness. Dont listen to them. I have been there more than 20 times and always had wonderful times
