The food at BNYD is okay. I grew up on Italian in NJ/NY and lived in Italy (Friuli-Venezia Giulia), so my expectations are a bit high. The favorite BNYD menu item is the lasagna (served hot); the worst menu item are the hot roast beef and the deli sandwiches (NOT good). The gelato is good; however, is a bit too pasty verses creamy; overpriced. The pastries LOOK better than they taste. The BNYD staff, facility, location, and service is great. The phone customer service has vastly improved since changing personnel. Delivery service has also improved. I would give BNYD a higher rating; however, the last three (3) times I ordered food [via delivery], my stomach ran only a short while after eating the food. Ive decided NOT to chance it again with Basilico New York Deli.

Recently called to place an order. I was put on hold and was asked to please hold, a second person answered and said hello may I help you and I asked to place an order for delivery and he said nothing and put phone down even before I got to say delivery. I waited for five minutes while I hear them making orders to their customers so I tried calling back. A different third person was friendly but I eventually was told it would take an hour to hour and a half for delivery. Why offer a service if you cant deliver in a reasonable amount of time? I was hoping for delivery because its to crowded to eat in there most of the time. Bummer because their food is excellent. Please provide better and longer delivery availability and better phone customer service.

My first review for anything...ever. This place is awesome. Great food, friendly people and a modern clean environment. I eat here at least once a week and take out of town guest here for the delicious tomato orizo bisque. Probably the best soup/bisque ever! Their white chicken pizza is amazing with huge amounts of ricotta...soooo good. And what really keeps me coming back is the Reuben. This is one of the best Ive ever had. You can get a half sandwich and soup or salad for under $9.00 which is a pretty good deal for all homemade food. Oh, I didnt mention the desert counter which has some authentic, made from scratch, Italian delicacies...very yummy! Try this place, you wont regret it.

Me and my wife love this place. The food is amazing and you can not beat the price. Together, my wife and I have tried just about everything on the menu and we have never been dissapointed with the food. They have a great selection of personal pizzas that are unique and scrumptous and usually have a special going on. But the main meals arent even the best part. Its the desserts. They have authentic, freshly made italian desserts, cheesecakes, and much more. We usually get some variation of their cheesecakes and they are delicious. Sometimes we just stop by for a slice of the fantasy land chocolate cheesecake.

So I call at 2 and a man answers the phone and I asked for delivery and he said no we cant do that right now. And I said excuse me and he said it wont be for another two hours before we can deliver we are having problems with our delivery guy. So I call back at 430 thinking they can deliver now. And the lady on the one now was delivery ended at 4. And I was like wait Im confused I was told they couldnt deliver til four because of the delivery guy. And the lady said she has no clue she just got in at four and the best she can do is take out. Well I cant take out Im at work and wanted your business. Thank you.

The desserts here are awesome and got us up to a 2 rather than a 0. The Reuben my wife had was the worst shes had in her life, her quote. She barely could taste the sauce and kraut, the corned beef had a lot of fat on it. To sum up her opinion, Arbys has a better Reuben. My New Yorker, pastrami, was a little dry but not nearly worth the price. The place was pretty disappointing after reading the reviews and seeing how many customers there were. Dont recommend this to anyone except dessert eaters and well never visit them again.

Loved each and every Panini that we ordered: Apple something, Turkey& Cranberry and Tomato & Mozzarella. They were so delicious. Apple Panini had honey inside and I would rather have it for brunch or breakfast instead of lunch though. We, the party of four, went there at around 1:30 but had to wait for a couple of minutes to get seats but it was worthy of waiting. Ah, I want to add that it was very clean looking with a variety of treats shown in several show-cases. I will definitely go back.

Its really great Italian food and you get it fast. I love their desserts too. They have great gelato. My favorite is the nutella gelato but all the flavors Ive tried are great. Also they have good cake. Its very rich and the cakes are huge. And there are a lot of tasty vegetarian options. Theres a great rosemary and potato pizza and other vegetarian pizzas and several vegetarian panini. I like the eggplant and roasted tomato panini.

Nice, quaint deli setting with quality ingredients and lots of great options. You cant beat their lunch special for a great sandwich and soup combo and if youre feeling a bit dismissive or unhealthy then theyve also got a great counter full of amazing deserts. This place hit home for me because it reminds me so much of a deli I frequented back home. Any time Im in the area I always try to make it a point to stop in for lunch.

We travel all over the country working and Ive been so happy to have found this place for lunch. Weve been back about five times now and everything is top notch. I see a lot of local places that dont know what theyre doing but this place has no issues Ive seen. The food is fantastic, great service, always clean, always busy. The job Ive been here doing has been awful, but thankfully Ive had lunch at Basilico to look forward to.

Love it here BUT, not for the first time my order was wrong. Ordered a roast beef (which is printed on the receipt) sandwich and ended up with ham (to go order). If I liked ham it would be ok but I cant stand ham. So lost most of the ham on the sandwich and ate the bread, mayo and onions. Oh well. No time to go back in and correct order. A waste of good ham today.

Make sure you tip once you pay at the cashier, or they will forget about your food ON PURPOSE. Happened twice, since we want to experience their service first before tipping, we want to tip after our dining, but I guess they dont like that, they will put your order at the back burner and wait till you get upset. Cakes are great but the foods are nothing special.

Basilico is probably my new favorite place to eat in the area. I have been a few times already after discovering it not to long ago, and every time has been amazing. Ive had the French Dip, Tomato Pie, Mac n Cheese, and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. All of which was incredible! Bottom line, if you havent eaten here, make your way here soon.
