this was my first time ordering from this place, I came all the way from Norfolk, a lot of people told me about this place tasted very good so I wanted to try it, and I ordered some Sweet sour Pork for my husband so he can have lunch for his lunch break, (They didnt even have a smaller size for it, all they had was lunch ) I called them to tell them that I wanted to pick up, they told me about 10mins, and right after I went in there I grabbed my food, and I paid with my credit card, I Even tip them, I got the food. It smells really good, but when I give them to my husband, he started eating and he found out that theres a piece of white hair inside the pork!!!! Ewwww! Thats disgusting!! And Its soooooooooo oilly !! The other Chinese place I always went to never had this situation before! Im not trying to make a big deal about it, I just want to tell everyone that I personally do not recommend this restaurant, and i am very disappointed, I dont know why or how other people can eat this stuff,they wasted my time, my gas, and ruined my husbands lunch breaks! but I am never ordering from this place again. EVER!

i used to order regular from this place until the little delivery man with the round glasses about 100lbs. started giving me an attitude when he didnt get a big tip. One time he said something wise but I could "not hear him and as he walked away quick I said what ? but he wouldnt repeat it. I started to use another place and tonight tried new city again. I handed him the money he gave me a dirty look and just practically ran away, no thank you no do you need change, and the food took over an hour to get to me ice cold. I called the place to complain and the women on the phone acted like she couldnt speak English when I complained. I will never order there again ! Horrible customer service and attitude. Who knows what they do in making the food the way they act ! I order from king dragon, much nicer faster service and food just as good. Hes lucky I am a nice guy because this army ranger would have showed him how to respect a soldier in the U.S. !

Poor customer service. Walk in to order out for dinner and was greeted but after that I didnt exit anymore. A call in order came a little after I was standing in front ready to order and the cashier took the call in front of me and proceeded to take that order as I was standing waiting for them for some time to catch up to all their orders they had pior to me. The cashier, didnt even acknowledge me standing there or say anything about them being back up but continued to finish orders they had prior to me and the one after me so I walked out and wont be walking back in.

Ive eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants, and New City tops my list in Greenbrier. The food is seasoned well, it had the right amount of sauce and left me satisfied. The lunch combo was a little over 5 bucks - the price is right yall. I place my order, by the time I drive over there from Crossways Blvd, its ready. I cant say anything about delivery because I dont ever get anything delivered. Summary: Best Chinese Food in Chesapeake.

very small portions, asked for both means I orders to be spicy and they were not........also I added scallions to my egg drop soup and they may as well been non-existent, i ordered shrimp and garlic sauce and it tasted nothing like garlic sauce, the only positive I can think to give is that my food was still piping hot when I received it unfortunately i still wont be back

Fantastic! A lot of food for your money. My boyfriend and I have discovered our new favorite Chinese Restaurant. Ive had the vegetable lo mein as well as the wonton soup and both were delicious. Very polite man at the front desk as well. I love this place.

20 minutes late delivering my food, so I never got it..had somewhere else to be, and now Im "HANGRY" They couldnt bother to call and tell me they were running late, but were sure blowing muy phone up when I wasnt there to answer the door. Never again.

Really good food. I ate here three days in a row so far. Service is fast and they are all friendly and the Chinese lady is cute and will also cook if it is busy enough. Worth every dime!!!!
