Korean food, freshly prepared with traditional vegetable options. This place is great, one of my favorites in Cville for a quick and cheap lunch. For newcomers, Id recommend the rice bowl (Bibimbap). You choose the rice, meat, optional egg, and six toppings - mostly vegetables, kim-chee, etc). They even have a cheaper kids sized bowl with 3 toppings for 5 bucks! The Korean Ramen bowl is also a great choice. Aside from the standard fare fountain drinks, they have a small beer selection including a couple craft beer items. Generally well kept and clean. My only grip is there is some serious resistance to the doors. But once you manage to get inside the building, the experience is pretty good.

I really love Zzaam. The setup is like a Subway or a Chipotle, cafeteria style, where you walk along with your noodle bowl artist to make the perfect bibi mipmap. This is also done to great effect at places like Mezeh for Mediterranean style, but here at Zzaam, the intent is mass-consumption Korean. Started by the owner of SweetFrog, another local success, this place has great potential. If you like Korean, rice bowls, noodle bowls, fresh veg, and fried eggs (for a small extra charge) you should get here. Also, try to come when its nice enough to sit outside, as the second floor bar opens to a lovely 8 person seating area.

I really like the food, though I know it is not like the food from actual Korea. The service is quick and the employees are very friendly. I even had a nice little chat with one of them! ^.^ The outside spot is very nice, too! One suggestion I would make is to play more K-Pop! This being my favorite music genre, of course I would suggest it. I just think that playing the top 40 that plays on American radio stations today is a little bit...eh. A friend told me she heard EXO and f(x) playing when she was there, but I havent heard any K-Pop at all during any of my visits. :( Please play more! Fighting~! Zzaam!

Good Korean done Fast-Food Style. Service polite and quick. Apparently started life as a Food truck! Generous portions. Not fancy but well done; one Noodle Bowl does me for the whole day (leftovers!). Prices very reasonable. Now my favorite stop for Asian style food!

This is a decent choice, but far from real Korean food. I have been to many Korean restarants. This is no Korean. What I like: Fast, ready to eat. Clean. Not hard to find. Some choices. What I dislike: Too salty, lack of subtlety, and not a real Korean.

We love eating here. You can get build your rice and noodle bowls, street ramen, and Korean tacos. Not being Korean, I cant speak to its authenticity but it has been delicious every time we have eaten there!

Delicious and inexpensive! Great atmosphere, there is a bar upstairs and nice outside seating. Love the Kpop playing in the background, l like to pretend Im in a Korean Drama. Lol, fun fun! Will be back..
