This might honestly be the hottest ice cream parlor in history. I dont know how the ice cream stays frozen in this place, it was at least 88 degrees when I was in there. There were two guys working in there, which means it was a slow line. I stood on line for at least 10 minutes in that heat waiting to be served. I ordered a Sundae. Whipped cream was free. Hot fudge and a cherry were not included. Those three ingredients is what make a sundae a sundae. Otherwise its just ice cream with whipped cream. I was disappointed to pay 60+ cents per topping. All in all my large sundae cost something like $8.50. Too expensive for the service. Wont be going back. Go to Cold Stone.

Ive been a Fudgy the Whale Cake fan since I was a kid, also love the Flying Saucers, especially the ones with the chocolate crunch around the sides. My dad was a brown bonnet fan. Carvel was one of the things I missed moving from NY to the DC area but thankfully, there is one (and only one!) in Arlington. I called in to reserve my cake a few days ago. I went to pick it up and it was ready to go. Service was friendly and quick. Couldnt ask for more. Actually, there is one thing. When I was a kid, Cookie Puss was a cake shaped like a cat. Now its some kind of freakish clown. Go back to the cat. You wont regret it.

I was just yelled at by a Carvel employee after they made a mistake with my ice cream. I came back in and said kindly that they had put the wrong topping on and the man behind the counter began yelling at me that I was wrong. He grabbed my ice cream, threw it in the trash and continued to yell at me that I was wrong. I have never been treated like that before and will never return to Carvel.

Carvel customer for 35+ year. Delightful conversation w. owner> Ordered a special order cake-coffee and cookies n cream over the phone. We love REAL Carvel products-check out grocery store Carvel ice cream cakes made by Richfoods...full of additives, etc. NEVER BUY THESE WHEN YOU CAN GET HOMEMADE!! Ice cream made daily. Arlington store only one in NoVa.

Very nice employee with great customer service and super patient with my man who was undecided. The icecream beats other places hands down! And as far as milkshakes and other extra toppings, cakes made to order. The choices are overwhelming! It might be small but totally worth going to! Definitely recommend the tropical flavor ice cream!

Those people work there is so rud. They Dont care if the customer. I wait long time where I placed orders in online. They was tell me if you want you can wait or cancel your order or keep quiet. I fell bad. Authority should take some action. If those people there dont come. Its my recommendation.

On a warm summer night, this place is excellent as it still has the walk-up windows. Watch out for parking though - if youre on the wrong side as the fence, youll get towed by the business next door.

Ice cream is not very creamy and just seemed very low quality. I enjoy the cakes but the ice cream by itself wasnt that great. The chocolate was very bland

Overpriced iceream at its finest. $9.95 for a medium Carvelanche with 2 toppings. It tastes great, sure - but it costs so much its just not worth it.
